INSTRUCTIONS FOR ADMISSION TO M.TECH. PROGRAMMES

[THROUGH CCMT-2025] FOR THE SESSION 2025-26

[ALL CONCERNED ARE REQUESTED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS

COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY]

The Admission to M. Tech Programmes at National Institute of Technology Rourkela through CCMT-
2025 will be held in PHYSICAL MODE during 5th to 11th August 2025, 10.00hrs -17.00hrs as per the
schedule given in Table-1.
Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are advised to fill necessary details in the online portal of NIT,
Rourkela vide link: http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in from 25.07.2025 to 09.08.2025 by 12:00 hrs.
Candidates who are allotted NIT Rourkela are required to report physically and take admission at NIT
Rourkela as per the following schedule:

 NOTE: Students are advised to strictly adhere to the above schedule. If any student is not able to
report for the physical verification of documents/admission as per scheduled time slot mentioned
above, they can report at “BHUBANESWAR BEHERA AUDITORIUM” on 09th August 2025 for the
completion of admission process.
ADMISSION FEE TO BE PAID BY STUDENTS:
Admission Fee detailed breakup available vide Annexure I:
Fee receipt towards payment of balance Institute fee must be deposited in ORIGINAL at the time of
admission [Institute fee Rs. 99, 500 /- for M. Tech. students]
Balance of Institute fee to be paid by different category of students (GEN, GEN- EWS, OBC, SC, ST,
Pw D candidates) is detailed below:
 For GEN,GEN-EWS,OBC candidates = Rs. 59,500.00
 For SC, ST students = Rs. 49,500.00
 For PwD Students = Rs. 84,500.00

Balance Institute fee to be paid online through SBI Collect gateway in the following link from

Steps for e - application:

Visit http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in and login with already registered User ID and

STEP - 1 password. Fill up the required fields carefully and proceed for Next.

Go to “Pay Admission Fee” link and fill up the details of payment made for
STEP – 2
admission fee in SBCollect portal and submit.

Documents to be required for Physical verification of admission:

For admission, candidates are required to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL with a photocopy
(Self attested) of each document/ testimonial.
Printout of the “Online Enrollment form” & “Address Slips” obtained from
1. http://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in

2. Provisional Admission letter (PAL) in original received from CCMT 2025 [original will be
retained].

3. Valid GATE Score card original.

Letter on subsequent up-gradation, downloaded from CCMT website (last round allotment), even if
4. there is no up-gradation.
Pass Certificate of High School Examination/Equivalent Examination/Birth certificate for proof of
5. date of birth [Original + 1 photocopy, Original will be returned]

6. Memorandum of Marks / Mark-sheet of all Examinations starting from HSC onwards

Mark sheet/Pass Certificate of Qualifying Examination [Original will be returned]. If result is
7. awaited, the undertaking must be submitted as per Annexure II.

 School (College) Leaving / Migration Certificates, (any one) in case it is not issued by the
8. school/Board, from the Institution last attended [Original will be retained]

9. Conduct/Character Certificate from the Institution last attended [Original will be retained]

10. Three (03) Recent Passport size colour photographs (3Nos.) [preferably white/sky blue background]

Recent Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Handicapped / OBC / EWS certificate
(Eligibility as per declaration by GOI) for claiming reservation. The date of issue of the OBC/PH
11. certificates should be as per CCMT-2025 guidelines.
Proof of fees paid to CCMT-2025 and to the Institute through SBI Collect portal must be submitted
12. in ORIGINAL.

Students, whose results are awaited, may fill up the undertaking form as given in Annexure II for submitting
the certificates (Mark/Grade Sheet, Degree/Provisional Degree Certificate, TC, Conduct Certificate and
Migration certificate) latest by 30th September, 2025.
Notes
1. It may so happen that fees in the different heads (including tuition fee) may be increased by the
concerned authorities. In such case, students are required to pay the increased fee in addition to above
mentioned fees.
2. Please note that NIT, Rourkela is a fully residential Institute. The hostel will be made available on the
date of admission and permission to stay outside is granted only in rare cases. Permission from Dean
(Academic) needs to be obtained for the purpose of staying outside a hostel. Dean (Academic) should be
convinced about the genuineness of the need as well as about the facility available for pursuing studies in
the alternative accommodation. Permission to stay outside the hostel may be granted after a student has
been admitted to a hall and paid all dues. Students permitted to stay outside will not be allotted a room,
nor will they be required to pay mess dues in future. Their mess advance will be refunded after
adjustment of dues if any (e.g. establishment fee, special functions etc.). It may be noted that such
students need to pay hostel seat rent, establishment fee and fees for special functions every semester till
completion of their programme.
3. Upon submitting the documents, it will be scrutinized, if all documents found in order provisional
admission will be given. If certificates are found to be in-genuine, the admission will be cancelled and all
fees paid will be forfeited. Even after having ODVC generated from Portal after online document
verification, while verifying documents at the time of physical reporting, if it is found that the candidate
is not eligible for the allotted seat then her/his seat allotment will be cancelled for which the candidate
alone will be responsible. The CCMT/NIT Rourkela will not be responsible for cancellation of allotted
seat /admission due to non- fulfilment of required eligibility criteria.

Location:
NIT Rourkela is around 5kms away from the railway station. Applicants may hire an auto and reach the
Institute. The minimum auto fare is Rs. 250/-.

 Refund Rule
After the last withdrawal/cancellation date of CCMT 2025, if an admitted student cancels admission/
withdraws/leaves the Institute without completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the
caution deposit will be forfeited by the Institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues,
if any. This clause is applicable even before formal registration to the 1st Semester and starting of classes.

Annexure-II
 Institute never has any intention to restrict the freedom of the students. However, keeping in view of the safety
and security of the students the Hostel timings become important. Institute authority decided that students are
not permitted to stay outside beyond 12 O’ clock night unless otherwise permitted by the concerned authority.
However if those students who want to be outside the Hostel beyond the above mentioned timing should
realize the importance of their safety and security. It is suggested that they give an undertaking as given
below.

 All assets of the institute including the assets of the halls of residence must be maintained in good and
functional state all the time so that the beneficiaries are not deprived of the benefits. If a loss, damage or theft
by the students is detected, remedial action shall be taken immediately by the concerned authority. The cost of
repair / replacement shall be collected from the concerned students along with a service charge. In this context,
students should not be involved in such activities.

17. Use electrical appliances such as water heater, room heater, electrical cooking appliances, electric press.
The above mentioned acts are punishable; any deviation to these shall attract financial punishment and may lead to
academic disciplinary action according to Institute Disciplinary Manual.
