Brothers, oh brothers, what can I say?
They're a constant source of mischief and play.
They tease and they taunt, they wrestle and fight,
But when push comes to shove, they'll stand up for what's right.
They'll share a secret handshake, a knowing glance,
And when they team up, they've got quite a chance.
They'll build a fort out of pillows and sheets,
And invite their friends over for some treats.
They'll play video games and watch silly shows,
And if you interrupt them, heaven knows...
You'll face their wrath, their ire and their scorn,
But don't worry, it won't last 'til morn.
For brothers, oh brothers, they're quick to forgive,
And before you know it, they'll be ready to live
Another day full of laughter and fun,
With their crazy antics, they'll always stun.
So here's to brothers, the goofballs we love,
They're a gift from above, sent from the heavens above.
What is Durian day significant for?
Durian Day is a special time, like a party, for a unique fruit called durian.
● It's the "King of Fruits": People in Southeast Asia call it the "King of Fruits" because it's very special to them.
● Celebrating its taste and uses: It's a day to enjoy durian, which has a creamy inside and a very strong
smell, like a mix of different things, and some people think it's a bit stinky, while others love it. It can be
eaten plain or in yummy treats like ice cream.
● Learning about its benefits: Durian is full of vitamins and fiber that help the body stay healthy.
● Bringing people together: It's a day for friends, family, and even new friends to gather and celebrate this
amazing fruit.
● Durian is called "smells like hell, tastes like heaven" because it has a very strong and stinky smell, like
rotten eggs or dirty socks. That’s why some places don’t even allow it indoors! But when you eat it, the
taste is soft, creamy, and sweet—a bit like vanilla ice cream or custard. So, even though it smells bad,
many people love how yummy it tastes!
Durian Day is a fun day to celebrate a special fruit that people love, enjoy tasty treats, and learn about how it
helps us. 😊~

MY SISTER'S ROOM
I have plans for my sister’s room
Which I’ve renamed the den of doom,
While she is gone for three days (three!)
With plans to have more fun than me.
There’s ice cream for her pillowcase
(Nice and sticky for her face).
Rubber spiders for her sheets,
(A nice and soothing bed-time treat.)
I’ll read her journal — glue it shut,
And tell my mom it’s filled with smut.
I’ll stuff her shoes with pistachios,
Her posters I’ll mustachio.
Give me time, I’ll think of more.
What’s that? My sister locked her door!?!
I’m so angry I could bust.
It’s sad when sisters don’t have trust.

Introductory Speech:
“Good morning everyone,
As we look back on the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the strength of our great nation, it becomes clear that
patriotism isn’t just a feeling—it’s a deep connection to the soul of our country.
It is found in the silent salutes to our flag, in the stories of courage we carry forward, and in the pride we feel when we say,
‘I am an Indian.’
To honour that spirit, I would like to recite a short poem titled ‘The Spirit of My Land’—a humble tribute to our beloved
India and the legacy we must continue.
Here it goes…”
🇮🇳 “The Spirit of My Land” 🇮🇳
(A Patriotic Poem)
My soul belongs to this sacred land,
Where mountains rise and rivers stand.
With every grain of its golden sand,
I feel my heart at duty’s command.
The past still echoes in the air,
Of freedom won with pain and care.
Their dreams now rest in how we strive,
To keep their burning hope alive.
I walk with pride, my head held high,
Beneath this bold and fearless sky.
O India, my voice, my flame —
Forever I shall guard your name.
