GROUP ASSIGNEMT

Due Date: 25 October 2024


Each Team should consist of 3 – 4 members
Research Reports to be sent as email to mgondo@hit.ac.zw

You will be working with your team to develop a collaborative research project. The stages are as follows:

1. Select a problem in your area of specialization. Shape the problem as a researchable topic. State the
identified research problem it in clear and concise form.
2. Identify the research variables that should be measured or manipulated.
3. Propose an alternative hypotheses and a null hypotheses.
4. Each team member must review 5 sources that will be utilized as references for the research
report; the reviewed sources must be unique for each team member.
5. Make a mind-map of the sources annotated individually to understand the connections, and find the
gaps in the literature. The map will be graded based on the following criteria:
- The map demonstrates understanding of the theories
- The map demonstrates reflection on the links between sources
- The map reflects the insights gained from discussing sources
6. Enumerate the different possible methods of data collection
- Each team will design their data collection instruments before they begin their data collection and
analysis.
7. Literature review
- Integrate the different references analyzed in the annotated bibliographies and write a well-
structured literature review. This will form the basis of your research project.
8. Each team member must review the adequate data sources for the research and code relevant
information for their team’s topic
9. Teams must write a report on the research performed. Required report components:
- Executive summary (one page, including: Background, Research strategy, Results
summary, Conclusions/insights)
- Abstract
- Background
- Literature Review
- Ethics
- Research strategy
- Results
- Conclusion
- Summary of contributions by team members (table)
