RULEBOOK

Football

Futsal Rules
•Each team will comprise 5 to 8 players, with 5 on the
field and 3 as rolling substitutes.

•The duration of each match will be 15 minutes,


inclusive of a 5- minute break between each half and
during the quarterfinals onwards, it will follow a 15-5-15
minute structure (15 minutes per half with a 5-minute
break).

•Every match will be conducted as a knockout match.

• The specific dates and timings for each match will be


communicated at a later time, exclusively to the team
leader. Players are restricted from registering for more
than one team.

• Team leaders must submit a finalized list of players,


including substitutes, prior to the commencement of
the tournament.

• All participants are required to adhere to a


standardized uniform during matches.

•In the event of a tied match, penalty shootouts will be


conducted to determine the winner.

•Any disputes or rule clarifications during matches will


be addressed by the designated tournament officials,
and their decisions will be final.


7-a-side Rules
•Each team will comprise 7 to 11 players, with 7 on the
field and 4 as substitutes.

•The duration of each match will be 25 minutes,


inclusive of a 10 minute break between each half and
during the quarterfinals onwards, it will follow a
25-10-25 minute structure (25 minutes per half with a
10-minute break).

•Every match will be conducted as a knockout match.

• The specific dates and timings for each match will be


communicated at a later time, exclusively to the team
leader. Players are restricted from registering for more
than one team.

• Team leaders must submit a finalized list of players,


including substitutes, prior to the commencement of
the tournament.

*There would be two tournaments i.e., team tournament


and singles

Tournament for both boys and girls.

TEAM SIZE:
A team can consist of 3 to 6 players, but a single
player cannot play in more than 2 matches.

TEAM MATCHES WILL BE IN THE FOLLOWING


FORMAT:

1. Single 2. Single 3. Double 4. Single


5. Single

TEAM MATCHES:
A singles match will consist of 3 or 5 sets depending
on the round. A single set will be of 11 points. All
match types will be knockouts.

SINGLES TOURNAMENT:
A single match will be of 3 sets in the beginning and
the quarters, semis and finals will be of 5 sets. All
match types will be knockouts.

GENERAL RULES/GUIDELINES:
The game starts with the toss.
The winning player or team chooses the serve or
receive.
The losing player has a choice of sides.
Players take turns serving groups of 2 consecutive
points, unless the score becomes 10-10 in which
case the receiver will make one service followed by
the original server with one service etc., until a
winner is declared.

Cricket

Each team player have their own college Identity


card, if not that player will not be able to play the
match. 
No player would play a single match from different
team, if any player will found, will be disqualified
from the tournament. 
League matches will be of 15 overs, semi-final
matches will be of 18 overs and final will be of 20
overs. 
This tournament matches will be played with WHITE
LEATHER BALL. 
The matches will be in the coloured jersey, white
jersey is restricted.
Time duration of each inning of league matches(15
overs) is 1 hour 15 minutes (5 minutes extra), 1 hour
& 20 minutes. After 6 overs drinks break will be of 4
minutes. 
Time duration of each inning of Semi-final matches
(15 overs) is 1 hour & 25 minutes (5 minutes extra), 1
hour & 30 minutes.
After 7 over drinks break will be of 4 minutes. 
Time duration of each inning of final match (20
overs) is 1 hour & 30 minutes ( 5 minutes extra),
1 hour & 35 minutes
After 10 overs drinks break will be of 4 minutes. 
Each team will have to register with 15 players, if the
15 players shuffled after the registration then the
team will be disqualified. 
Each team will have to reach on their respectively
reporting time.

Every team or player will have to maintain discipline


during the matches, If discipline is not maintained
then the respective player will be sent out of the
ground after 2 warnings.

Referees/Umpires of the matches are from the


outside of the university. The decisions will be
totally fair decisions taken by the umpires/referees.
No arguments will be face by the referee/umpires, if
the player arguments with the referee/umpire, the
player will be sent out of the ground after 2
warnings, respectively.

Badminton

Section 1: Singles Rules

Serving
The server must serve diagonally from their service
box to the opponent’s service box
The server must serve below the waist, with the
racket head pointing downward
The service is considered legal if the shuttlecock
crosses the service line and lands in the correct
service area.

Winning a Point
Points are won when the opponent fails to return the
shuttlecock, or when they make a fault (such as
hitting the shuttlecock out of bounds or into the net).

Change of Ends
Players change ends after each game. In the third
game (if applicable), players change ends when the
first player reaches 11 points.

Faults:

If the shuttlecock lands outside the court, hits the


net (unless on a serve), or fails to clear the net, it is a
fault
A player may not touch the net, move into the
opponent’s court, or obstruct the shuttlecock with
their body or racket.

Section 2: Doubles Rules

Serving:

The server must serve from the right side of their


court to the opponent's right side of their court
In doubles, each side has one server who alternates
between the left and right service courts.

Winning a Point:

Points can be won through the opponent’s errors


(out of bounds, into the net, etc.) or by forcing the
opponent to make an error.

Serving Rotation
In doubles, players alternate serving and receiving
after every point won
The server always serves from the right side when
their team has an even score and from the left side
when the score is odd.

Change of Ends:

Players change ends after each game. In the third


game (if applicable), players change ends when the
first side reaches 11 points.

Faults
Any player committing a fault while serving or
receiving (such as serving out of turn, hitting the
shuttlecock incorrectly, or obstructing the opponent)
results in a loss of point or serve.

Section 3: Code of Conduct

Player Conduct:

Players must respect their opponents, referees, and


spectators
Badminton is a game of sportsmanship, and any
form of abusive language or unsporting behavior will
lead to disqualification.

Disqualifications
Any violation of the tournament's rules or
misconduct during play will result in the player being
warned, and repeated offenses may result in
disqualification from the competition.

Section 4: Special Notes

Injury Time:

Players are allowed a maximum of 2 minutes for


injury time per game.

Equipment Failures:

If a player's racket breaks, they are permitted to


replace it without losing a point.

Referees and Line Judges


The decisions of the referees and line judges are
final.

Volleyball

Team Size:

The team to be registered on the scoresheet may


consist of minimum 6 and maximum 12 players
including the libero.

Rules:

•The playing court is a rectangle measuring 18 x 9 m

•Centre line: The axis of the centre line divides the


playing court into two equal courts measuring 9 x 9 m
each; however, the entire width of the line is
considered to belong to both courts equally. This line
extends beneath the net from sideline to sideline.

•Attack line: On each court, an attack line, whose rear


edge is drawn 3 m back from the axis of the centre
line, marks the front zone.

• Placed vertically over the centre line there is a net


whose top is set at the height of 2.43 m for men and
2.24 m for women.

• Two white bands are fastened vertically to the net and


placed directly above each side line.

• Both the team captain and the coach are responsible


for the conduct and discipline of their team members.

• Point A team scores a point: By successfully landing


the ball on the opponent’s court; When the opponent
team commits a fault; When the opponent team
receives a penalty.

• If the serving team wins a rally, it scores a point and


continues to serve. If the receiving team wins a rally, it
scores a point and it must serve next.

• Block touch will not be counted as a touch.

• Standard rotation will be followed if both teams agree


on it.

• The ball is “in” if at any moment of its contact with the


floor, some part of the ball touches the court, including
the boundary lines.

• The ball is “out” when: All parts of the ball which


contact the floor are completely outside the boundary
lines; It touches an object outside the court, a person
out of play; It touches the antennae, ropes, posts or the
net itself outside the side bands; It crosses the vertical
plane of the net either partially or totally outside the
crossing space. It crosses completely the lower space
under the net.

• Faults:

FOUR HITS: a team hits the ball four times before


returning it.

ASSISTED HIT: a player takes support from a team-


mate or any structure/object in order to hit the ball
within the playing area.

CATCH: the ball is caught and/or thrown; it does not


rebound from the hit.

DOUBLE CONTACT: a player hits the ball twice in


succession or the ball contacts various parts of his/her
body in succession.

• To touch the opponent’s court with a foot (feet) is


permitted, provided that some part of the penetrating
foot (feet) remains either in contact with or directly
above the centre line and this action does not interfere
with the opponent’s play.

• To touch the opponent’s court with any part of the


body above the feet is permitted provided that it does
not interfere with the opponent’s play.

• A player may enter the opponent's court after the ball


goes out of play.

• Blocking faults: The blocker touches the ball in the


OPPONENT’S space before the opponent’s attack hits.
A back-row player or a Libero completes a block or
participates in a completed block.

• Time-out requests must be made by showing the


corresponding hand signal when the ball is out of play
and before the whistle for service. All requested time-
outs last for 30 seconds. Format:

• For the knockout matches the best of 3 sets format


will be followed with the first 2 sets being of 25 points
each and the 3rd decider set (In case the set score is
tied at 1-1) will be of 25 points.

• For the final matches a best of 5 sets format will be


followed with the first 4 sets being of 25 points each
and the 5th decider set of 15 points. General Rules/
Guidelines:

• All participants need to come in proper kit -shorts (no


three-fourths, denim shorts, tracks etc. are allowed). If
any player does not come in proper kit or shoes, the
player won’t be allowed to play the match.

• The decision of the referees and umpires will be final


and binding. No protests would be entertained.

• Any disciplinary violation by any member of the team


will lead to disqualification of that team.

• Teams must bring their own adequate volleyballs for


practice. No balls will be provided from the institute for
practice.

DECISION RESTS WITH THE ORGANIZERS.
