• Detected and handled outliers using Cook’s Distance, Box Plot, DFFITS, and Quantiles to improve overall data reliability
• Selected optimal model using Adjusted R2, AIC, BIC, and Mallow’s Cp with forward, backward, and stepwise selection
• Boosted Adj. R2 from 0.56 to 0.79 using tuned XGBoost and CatBoost, achieving MSE value 0.05 with parameter tuning
Modeling and Forecasting Green Taxi Demand in NYC | Guide: Prof. Monika Bhattacharjee, IITB [May ’25 - July’25]
• Retrieved 1.2M New York taxi trip records via an API, merged them with weather data and performed weekly aggregation
• Improved model accuracy by using advanced data cleaning, outlier detection (IQR, Z-score) and hyperparameter tuning
• Implemented Linear Regression, Ridge Regression & XGBoost models, achieving a best-in-class R2 of 0.94 via XGBoost
Income Level Classification Model | Self Project [May ’25 - Jul ’25]
• Applied preprocessing to dataset, used imputation for missing values, removed duplicates & performed one-hot encoding
• Evaluated model using confusion matrix, F1-Score, ROC curve & cross-validation to assess classification performance
• Built and evaluated Logistic Regression (83% prediction) and Random Forest, comparing performance to select baselines

• Utilizing NLTK and TextBlob to process tweet data, quantifying sentiment distributions for prominent political candidates
• Visualizing sentiment trends, showing leaders’ tweets categorized into neutral, positive, and negative in overall analysis
