Application
This valve is used for preventing the back-going of medium in
pipelines and equipments and the pressure of medium will
bring the result of opening and closing automatically. When
the medium is back – going, valve disc will automatically close
to avoid accidents.

Fire Protection Pressure Relief Valve

Description
The Cla-Val Model 50B-4KG1 (Globe) / 2050B-4KG1
(Angle) Pressure Relief Valve is designed specifically to
automatically relieve excess pressure in fire protection
systems. This pilot controlled relief valve maintains
constant system pressure at the pump discharge within
very close limits as demands change.

Operation is completely automatic and pressure


settings may be easily changed. This valve can be
used for pressure relief, pressure sustaining, back
pressure, or unloading functions in a bypass system.
This fast opening, slow closing relief valve provides
system protection against high pressure surges on
pump startup and pump shut down by dissipating the
excess pressure to a safe location.

INLET OUTLET

The Cla-Val Model 50B-4KG1/2050B-4KG1 Pressure Relief Valve pilot control system is a normally closed pilot operated valve that will open to relieve
excess pressure with accurate precision. The CRL (Item 2) pilot can be easily adjusted to a wide range of pressure settings. While monitoring the
pressure gauge (Item 5), the CRL adjustment screw can be turned clockwise to INCREASE pressure or counterclockwise to DECREASE pressure. The
CRL adjustment screw is protected by a screw-on cover, which can be sealed to discourage tampering.

Description
TIVAL pressure switches of the FF 4 series are suitable for a wide range
of applications. They can be utilized for:
 Monitoring and controlling the pressure of liquid or gaseous media in
pipelines, tanks, vats, pressure vessels and apparatus.
 Applications in process control, cooling, pneumatics and hydraulics.
 Pressure monitoring of cooling circuits and lubrication systems on
various types of machinery.
 Automatic switching of pump and compressor motors for supplying water
to dwellings, booster pumps, firefighting equipment and on compressed
air systems.

Mode of operation

The pressure of the monitored medium operates against a flat diaphragm,
75,5 mm bellows or plunger (depending on pressure range). A system of levers and
springs work on a snapaction cascade switch of high vibration resistance,
a
14 mm ensuring flutterfree switching. With no pressure on the diaphragm contact 1-2
is closed. This can be used as an „ON“ signal for a pump or compressor motor.

If pressure exceeds the upper switchingpoint, contact 1-2 opens and contact
5,5 mm 1-4 closes. The connected motor will be switched off. Contact 1-4 is often
