Let’s start by looking into the meaning of vision.

vision is the picture or the imagination of your future. It is the picture in your mind of where
you need to be. It is the ability to see beyond now and the determination to bring the picture into
reality.

One of the greatest gifts God can give to us is vision because it has the power to take you from
where you are to where you need to be. Every good thing you see in the world today is a product
of vision. The clothes you are wearing was a vision in someone’s mind. The shoe you are
wearing was a vision, microsoft was a vision, the iPhone in your hand was a vision, the car you
are using was a vision, this book you are reading was a product of vision. YouTube, aeroplanes,
and restaurants are all products of vision.

One of the reasons why people remain where they are is because they don’t have vision. The
reason many third world countries are where they are is because their leaders are not visionary
leaders. What takes you to your colourful destination is vision. Vision drives you to your
colourful destination.

It is hard to see a country moving forward without a visionary leader. Every cooperation,
organisation is bound to fail or remain stagnant without vision.

In the next coming years, the people who will thrive are those with visions. The nations that
will thrive are those with visions. The pastors or the church that will thrive are those with
visions. If you want to secure a place for yourself in the future you must have vision.

Only God knows what will become of our world if we don’t have men of vision. One of the
legends I respect so much is Dr. Martin Luther king. That speech he gave was nothing but a
product of vision “I have a dream”.

We now have black and white staging together and even doing business together, marrying each
other, and learning together. It is nothing but a product of vision., thanks to King. Even though
he is long gone we can see the fulfilment of the vision.
 Visions don’t die, the visionary might die but the vision remains. For example, the Wright
brother who invented aeroplanes are dead but aeroplanes will be here forever.

Most of the great inventions we have in our world today were a product of vision, even though
some of the visionaries are long gone. Their products are still blessing us till now.

We cannot forget some of the great legends because the products are still blessing us. I hope you
will do the same for us before you leave this world. I hope people will still remember you even
after you are long gone. That will only be possible if you have a vision .

Are you working for an organisation currently, the first to do is to have a vision, have a vision
to improve the organisation, have a vision to make contribution in that organisation. Vision and
contribution goes together.

Are you a CEO, if you don’t want your organisation to remain the same, have a vision.

Are you a Pastor, if you don’t want your ministry to remain the same, have a vision.

Are you a student, have a vision if you want to graduate well and impact lives on campus .

If you are a Parent, if you want your family to advance and want a good life for your children,
have a vision.

The great vision Mandela went through a lot for his country South Africa, but he had a vision of
a new South Africa. Even though he went through a lot, he eventually became the President of
South Africa. One of the best leaders in the world is Nelson Mandela. He is a man of vision who
is country

Vision is so powerful that the Bible says where there is no vision the people perish.() This is
true, everything will die in the hands of man without vision i.e Jehoram ()

Many great people with gifts and talents died with their gift because they don’t have vision.
Talent alone is not enough, it is your vision for your talent or gifts that counts and that will make
you a blessing to the world. Samson in the Bible was a man with great potential but died with all
that power and talent because he lacks vision. Working with leaders who don’t have their vision
can be ridiculous.

Having sets of friends with no vision is very risky. I would advise you to come out of such
friendship because people who don’t have where they are going to can influence you negatively.
Eagles don’t fly with birds, they maintain their standards and fly alone. They don’t fly with
smaller birds who can’t see far. Don’t walk with friends that see beyond now it can be dangerous
for your life. Eagles fly with eagles, walk with a man of vision and you will never be small.

Let me remind you that, your destiny is not to be small, you are created for big things, you have
what it takes in you to be global. Stop looking down on yourself there is more In you the world is
waiting for, I know you can feel it somewhere in you but society or circumstances may have
extinguished the feelings. It is time to have a vision for your life or go back to that vision again,
in it lies your greatness. Joseph had a vision and his siblings tried to kill that vision but they
could not because vision is powerful as long as you believe it and you keep seeing it. It might
seem impossible but trust me it will come to pass Habakkuk 2vs2. Don’t let anyone talk down on
your vision.

Vision is what will change our world, if you want to change the world start with vision. Some
of the stories that inspired me was that of John F. Kennedy who had a vision of landing a man on
the moon in a speech on September 12, 1962 Rice University. In this speech he emphasised the
importance of space exploration for the future of humans and the United States commitment to
achieving this goal within a decade. His vision came true on July 20, 1969, when () successfully
launched astronaut Neil Armstrong.

There is something great about you that is only captured in your vision stop thinking. This is all
about you, () you are made for more, don’t look down on yourself. Vision is all you need you
start seeing the great things ahead of you.

I want you to stay true to yourself everyday you feel like giving up or you feel low of yourself.
“ I have seen the future” and I will get there. There is more to me in the future than now
therefore I won’t give up and I won’t be discouraged.
 The greatest motivation you need is not from motivational speakers or from any external
sources. The greatest motivation is what you see from within. It starts from the mind to reality.
Show me a man who nothing is working for but vision is clear, then I can tell you greatness lies
ahead.

RUNNING WITH THE VISION

Action without vision just passes the time and vision without action can change the world
Nelson Mandela. Vision is not a wish. We need to take actions or steps in order for us to realize
our vision.

To bring your vision to life, first recognize the gap between where you are now and where you
want to be. You can only bridge that gap if you have a clear and complete understanding of what
needs to be done, there are actions you must take. Vision is the map to where you desire to go but
taking steps is what gets you there, with vision you can know the right step to take. I want you to
say it (), I must take action for my vision to come into manifestation. This is what I call the trap
of busyness. You can easily get caught up in tasks that feel productive and don't actually
contribute to your goals and vision. But () vision will make you know certain steps to take. The
first action to take is to set goals.

VISIONS TO GOAL

Having vision is not enough, your vision must be broken down into goals. Goal is a vehicle that
drives or brings your vision into reality. The proof that you have a vision is that you set goals.
Goals show us what you are doing daily to achieve your vision.

What is a Goal: A goal is a specific measurable step that moves you closer to achieving your
vision, while your vision represents the big picture, long term outcome you want to create, goals
break that vision into actionable and achievable milestones.
 Goals help you to stay focused, track progress and ensure that each action you take aligns with
your overall vision. The first action you need to take is to set goals.
