Numbers 26 – 27 & Psalms 90

Numbers 17:18-20
18
So the Lord said to Moses, “Take Joshua son of Nun, a man in whom is the
spirit of leadership,[f] and lay your hand on him. 19 Have him stand before
Eleazar the priest and the entire assembly and commission him in their
presence. 20 Give him some of your authority so the whole Israelite
community will obey him.

REFLECTION:

For a long time, I feared responsibilities. Simula noon leaders and

others are asking me if I should step up as a leader. I always brush it off,
knowing I am not ready. I know I have the skills to lead and speak about my
knowledge of God, but I doubt my skills because I am shy and lazy. I was
asked if I could help one of the leaders to assist him in leading the life group,
but I knew I was at my lowest point spiritually and mentally, so I refused the
offer.

After reading this chapter, I learned that God raises leaders in His
timing. God provides them with a spiritual gift and preparation. I knew
changes are scary, I doubt myself that if I step into something I wasn’t used
to, I might not do well. But God said otherwise. He knew I had the
capabilities to lead, but at the right time. This chapter taught me to believe
in His plan, and He will lead me to the right path. Just like how God knew
Joshua was the right man as the successor of Moses, as God led Joshua to
become the person to lead his people to the promised land.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank you for removing the doubts in my heart. Lord, I pray that
when things are about to change, guide me. Lord, I pray that when the time
comes, it’s my turn. I pray that you will lead me into something bigger than
I’ll ever imagine. I pray that you will mold me into a greater version of
myself. Lead me to break my limitations. Amen.

Numbers 28 – 29 & Psalms 91

Numbers 29:31
39
“‘In addition to what you vow and your freewill offerings, offer these to
the LORD at your appointed festivals: your burnt offerings, grain offerings,
drink offerings and fellowship offerings.’”

Psalms 91:1

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

REFLECTION:

Having an everyday offering seems tiring and tedious. But these

commandments are a testament to God’s desire for us to deepen our
relationship with Him. This chapter reminds me of how dependent I am on
God; in everything I do, I’m always asking for God’s help and assistance to
complete my tasks. I always ask God for everything, so it makes sense that
we do the same for Him.

Our daily devotions are the modern version of the offerings they are doing in
the Bible. This is done by offering our lives and devoting ourselves to God.
With Psalm 91:1, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in
the shadow of the Almighty.” The correlation of this to the offering in
Numbers is so amazing. While in the Numbers it talks about what God’s
people offer to Him. Psalm focuses on what He offers us when we dwell in His
presence.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank you for reminding me about the importance of having a

deep connection with You, the importance of the desire to dwell in Your
presence. Thank you for opening my mind, and I learned that I should open
my heart more towards you. I pray for the consistent devotion and consistent
dwelling in your presence. Amen.

Numbers 32 – 33 & Psalms 93

Numbers 32:23
23
“But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the LORD; and you may
be sure that your sin will find you out.

Psalms 93:1 – 2 & 5

1
The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty;
the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength;
indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.
2
Your throne was established long ago;
you are from all eternity.
5
Your statutes, LORD, stand firm;
holiness adorns your house
for endless days.

REFLECTION:

In this chapter, I learned that God values faithfulness and the

continuation of something we start to the finish line. I learned this the hard
way, knowing that I’m the type of person who is always good at starting
something but bad at completing it. This passage taught me that intent
alone wasn’t enough, that I must act in obedience. I learned that Integrity
matters to the Lord, not just in words but in action as well.

In Psalms, it taught me that even when we wander, God stays firm. Just
like when Israel was lost, God waited patiently for them to get what God
promised them to claim. I realized that even when I falter, God’s vision for
me is firm. His purpose for me is already made, all I need to do is obey and
trust Him until the finish line.

PRAYER:

Lord, I praise Your holy name, I adore Your vision for Your people. I entrust my
fate to You. Thank you for the realization that when I was lost, you stood firm
and waited patiently. I pray that you guide me to where I should be. I pray
that you can help me navigate so I don’t lose my path. Lord, I pray that you
open my eyes to see what I lack. Help me be the best version of myself to
claim the blessing you promised me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Deuteronomy 29 – 30 & Psalm 114

Deuteronomy 30:19
19
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I
have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so
that you and your children may live

REFLECTION:

God gave us the freedom to choose. He didn’t force us; He pursued us to

what was right.

1. LIFE IS A DAILY CHOICE

- Every day, when we wake up, we have the choice of what to do
afterward. We can either go to Facebook or Twitter, or pray. This is the
freedom that God gave us.
2. GOD DOESN’T FORCE US
- God gave us freedom; that’s why we should know what to do for Him.
Instead of forcing us, God invites us to choose what leads to
righteousness, holiness, and peace.
3. OUR CHOICES AFFECT OTHERS AND US
- Even though God gave us freedom to choose for ourselves, He warned
us that selecting the wrong option can lead to death and a curse. Not
only in our lives, but in our future generation. Choosing life means
more than just avoiding sin, it means choosing to be faithful, to do
God’s purpose for us.

PRAYER:

Lord, You are my path. You are my holy one. Lord, thank you for guiding me
to what is right. Lord, help me choose what is right. Teach me to pick
righteousness so that my future generation will lead into life and blessing. I
pray that I can fulfill Your purpose for me. Amen.

Joshua 1 & Psalm 120

Joshua 1:9
9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be
afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you
wherever you go.”

Psalm 120:1
1
I call on the LORD in my distress,
and he answers me.

REFLECTION:

Today, I learned that God wants me to be strong, even if I am afraid. As

a student, I always feel pressure, like when I have so much schoolwork or
feel I’m not doing enough. But in this verse, God said I don’t need to be
scared. He is always with me.

Joshua is also a new leader. Sometimes I think that maybe he is

nervous too. But God said to him to be strong and brave. I believe that God is
also telling me that even if I don’t know what I’m doing sometimes, God will
help me as long as I obey Him and follow what is right.

Like what I’ve said, there are times when I felt the pressure and
heaviness of not being able to graduate on time. Looking at my social media,
I saw a few of my classmates posting their graduation pictures. I felt the
burden of not being one of them. In times of distress, I knew that God knows
what he holds for my future. Psalms 120:1 is a powerful verse that captured
my heart. This verse put my heart at ease knowing that God is already in
control of my career, that He let things happen this way because He has
something in store for my future.

PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for not leaving me. Even when I’m afraid or confused,
You still love me. Please help me to be strong and brave, like what You told
Joshua. Sometimes I feel like I’m not enough or I don’t do good. But I trust
You, Lord. I know You will guide me. Help me to keep going and not give up.
Help me to follow You always. sniThank You, Lord, because when I talk to
You, You always listen. Please help me to be the person You want me to be.
In Jesus’ name, Amen

1 Samuel 26-27 & Proverbs 17

REFLECTION:

Napaisip ako, paano ko kaya magagamit yung talent ko to serve God

and to bless others? Minsan kasi, nahihiya pa rin ako to share the Word of
God or to use my skills para sa ministry, kasi iniisip ko, baka hindi enough
yung kaya kong ibigay or baka magkamali lang ako. Pero narealize ko na
kung ibibigay ko naman kay Lord yung best ko, kahit maliit, gagamitin Niya
yun.

As a person, lagi kong iniisip na “kaya ko ba talaga mag-serve?” or

“may impact ba talaga ako sa ibang tao?” Pero itong verse sa Proverbs,
parang sabi ni Lord, “Anak, gamitin mo kung ano meron ka. As you bless
others, ako bahala mag-bless sayo.” Kaya starting today, kahit maliit pa lang,
I’ll try to be more confident to share His Word and serve through my talents
kasi I know para kay Lord, hindi para sa sarili ko.

PRAYER:

Palakasin
Mo po yung loob ko para gamitin yung talent ko to serve You, kahit sa simple
way. Huwag Niyo pong hayaan na paghanap ako ng validation sa ibang tao,
but mas maging eager lang po ako to glorify You. Teach me to be generous
with my time, talent, and even words para ma-refresh ko rin yung ibang tao.
Salamat po kasi alam kong Ikaw ang bahala sa lahat. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
