Order of Adjectives
It is very common to use more than one
adjective before a noun in a sentence.
Remember, when we use more than one
adjective before a noun we need to put
them in a right order ,according to their
type.
That’s why in this lesson, we’re going to
discuss about ORDER OF ADJECTIVES.
How to order adjectives
Which adjective goes first? Did that sound
right? These are just some of the questions
that arise when ordering adjectives in
English. Although it can be tricky, there are
some fun and engaging activities we can
provide our students with that will help
them master the order of adjectives.
In many languages, adjectives denoting
attributes usually occur in a specific order.
When using adjectives in a series, you often
follow this sequence.
Qua Qua Size Age Sha Colo Mat
ntity lity pe r erial

num opin
ber ion
Five Bea Larg New Rou Yello Woo
utifu e nd w den

For Example:
1. I love that really big old green
antique car that my father gave me.
2. Mother received two golden South
Sea pearls from Dad.

Group Activity
Group
Activites
Family Feud (Adjectives Edition)
Mechanics:
We will be having 2 groups
The first two groups ( 1 and 2 ) and the last
two groups (3 and 4) will be competing with
each other by guessing the words in each
given category.
1. You will choose one representative in
each group and they are the one to guess
the word behind the board.
2. The one who guess the right word will
choose if they will "PLAY" or "PASS". Play
means they are going to continue to get the
possible words, and pass if they want the
other team to answer.
3. If play and you got 3 wrong answers
means the other team can steal and get
your whole points.
3. The winning teams will again compete
with each other and the winner will then
proceed to the final game.
Final Game
In a minute, you will be given 4 phrases,
and you are going to arrange the given
describing words (jumbled) in the correct
order of adjectives.
