Story telling- the researchers will give some questions to the participants for them to
share and tell a story regarding to their lived experiences in managing their social
pension.
1. Can you tell me a bit about what its like being a senior citizen in your community and
how does this change your perspective in life?
2. Can you describe one particular moment in managing your social pension made a
significant impact in your life, either positive or negative? Share a story with use,
focusing on your feelings and experiences.
3. Think about a recent challenge you faced in managing your social pension. Tell me a
story on how you overcome it or if not, how it made you feel?
4. Walk me through your typical process in managing your social pension. Tell me a story
about how you decide what to spend on and how you make it sure to last it within a
month.
5. Do you have any strategies for stretching your social pension to last long? Tell me a
story about how you came up with these strategies and how did they work on you.
Photo-elicitation- the researchers will provide photographs in an interview for the
participants to identify the factors that contribute to satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the
amount of social pension, if the participants did not understand the photo given, the
researcher will give question regarding to the photo and after that the researcher will ask
them to share their thoughts and experience about the images.

Self -reflection Journal- The researchers will provide a journal for the participants. The
researchers will ask them to write about their daily experiences when receiving their
social pension and how did they manage it for specific period. Encourage them to reflect
especially to their thoughts, feelings and challenges.
