DAY ONE
We decided to do a trip to Liverpool. We have always been interested in Liverpool because
of the series Peaky Blinders, which was filmed in the city and surroundings, and Lorenzo's
favorite football team is Liverpool FC, so he wants to go to the Anfield stadium.
While we were learning about the history of Liverpool, we discovered that since 1190 the
place was known by the name of Liuerpul, which in English means pond or inlet with muddy
water, and then the title of city was attributed after the Industrial Revolution to it in 1880.

On April 17, we are taking a Ryanair flight, and we are each paying €74.00!!!!!
The fly leaves at 9:50 A.M and lands at 11:40 A.M. We booked at the ESKDALE B&B for 98
$ for the night, which is near the Hunt Cross underground station on the Northern Line.

After arriving at B&B, we’ll probably go to The Cowshed Liverpool for lunch, where I
absolutely want to eat the scouse (a meat-based dish with a side of potatoes and
vegetables)

After lunch we will probably go on foot to the Liverpool Cathedral in neo-gothic architectural
style, which is the largest church in the country and the eighth in the world. The architect
was Giles Gilbert Scott, and when he projected the cathedral, he was only 22!!!!!!!!

In the evening we’ll go to Tate Liverpool, an art gallery in Liverpool, which contains
arts from the 1500s to nowadays. Tate is a chain of art galleries that has several
locations in all the UK. The lorenzo’s favorite work is Mountain by Ugo Rondinone,
and he can't wait to see it.

We’ll probably be tired, so we will call an uber.

Day two

In the morning, for sure, we are going to order the typical english breakfast, which
includes back bacon, sausages, eggs, tomatoes, fried mushrooms, black
pudding, beans, and toast, but I will exclude mushrooms because I can't stand them.

We are going to the Anfield Stadium by taxi, so we could save a bit of time. The visit
to the museum, which contains the trophies won by the team and the jersey of the
best players, starts at 11 A.M., therefore, we’ll have to be on time. The visit should
last about an hour and a half, so we will probably eat some burgers or hot dogs, and
then we’ll go to the Beatles Story Museum by bus (27).

The museum is full of objects, such as John Lennon's glasses, Ringo's drums, and
George's first guitar, as well as recreations of key locations such as The Casbah
Coffee Club, the Cavern Club and Abbey Road Studios.

I would also like to see the bronze group created by the sculptor Andy Edwards,
which was placed on the seafront, a few steps from the center. It portrays the Fab
Four as they were captured in a photo from 1963, at the dawn of their career, not far
from there. It has no title: "There is no need," explained the author. "You don't need
an explanation, and you didn't even need to use any trick or portray them with their
instruments. It's a monument to a moment, and that moment began in Liverpool."

In the evening, we’ll go to Chinatown, which is the city's historic Chinese

neighborhood. The neighborhood appears to be the oldest Chinese enclave in
Europe, and street names are transcribed in both English and Chinese.

We’ll see the typical paifang, which was donated by the city of Shanghai in 2000,
with which Liverpool has signed a twinning agreement. The arch is the highest
outside the chinese territory and it reaches 13,5 m.

The Chinese neighborhood is near the underground station of Merseyrail, so we’ll

probably return to Esklade B&B by underground.

DAY THREE

The third and last day we are going to do a trip out of town to the Lake District, one
of the most beautiful and evocative areas of England. We will leave early in the
morning by a shuttle to enjoy the tranquility of the lakes and mountains. The Lake
District is famous for its stunning scenery, walking trails, and picturesque villages.
We will stop at Windermere, which is the largest lake in the area, where we could
take a walk or even a boat ride.

After exploring Windermere, we’ll go to Grasmere, the town that inspired the poet
William Wordsworth. Here, we'll visit his home, where he spent much of his life, and
stop at the Grasmere Gingerbread Shop to try the local specialty like the spicy-sweet
cross between a biscuit and cake called gingerbread.

In the afternoon, if we still have energy, we will venture along one of the many trails,
such as Helm Crag, which offers a spectacular view of the valley below. Before
returning to Liverpool, we will stop in one of the typical local pubs to enjoy a
traditional dinner based on Cumberland Sausage with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
and for dessert, a Sticky Toffee Pudding.

Then, because we have the flight at 5 A.M., we are going to sleep early.
