The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the four founding
departments of Puducherry Technological University (Erstwhile Pondicherry
Engineering College). In the past three decades, the department has produced more
than 1000 undergraduates, hundreds of postgraduates and more than 65 Ph.Ds. Our
students are spread across the world and most of them are occupying eminent
positions in Industries, R &D centres and Universities/Colleges. Our Alumni bring their
knowledge back to their alma mater through guest lectures, technical meets, and
motivational talks.
