Dear Alumni,

Greetings from your Alma Mater!

Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Punyaslok from the 1989 batch, specialized in Marketing
and Systems. Our batch of 56 students was a highly cohesive group. I have a total of 33 years of work
experience, 18 years of corporate experience in marketing and consulting. I have done my PhD from
IIT, Kharagpur, shifted to academics, joined XIMB as a faculty in the Marketing Area 10 years back.

I was introduced to the faculty alumni committee in 2022 and had the honour of becoming the
Chairperson of the Alumni Committee in 2023.

Over the past 8-9 years, there had been little activity, but since then, we have taken significant steps
forward, including:

1. Launching an Online Interactive Orientation Program for freshers, connecting them with
both national and international alumni through Alma Connect.
2. Organizing a professional homecoming for the Silver Jubilee batch.
3. Strengthening the Alumni Association by streamlining accounts and updating the
Memorandum of Association.
4. Updating and validating the alumni database to ensure accuracy.
5. Planning for a transparent and efficient election process for the upcoming alumni
elections.
6. Reviving Sanidhya and fostering connections within the community.
7. Reinstating Unnayan, our alumni e-magazine.

The support from alumni has been invaluable—whether through mentoring students, providing
feedback, or offering encouragement. We are deeply grateful for your continued involvement and
commitment to XIM.

As we move forward, I encourage all of you to reach new heights. Like many leading institutions, we
believe an active and engaged alumni community is essential to our success.

We invite you to contribute your time and resources, whether through teaching, research, or guest
lectures. When you find the opportunity, please visit the campus. While many things have changed,
there are still countless reminders that will transport you back to your time at XIM. The bond you
share with XIM is unique and everlasting.

A special thanks to the Mumbai Chapter especially the elected coordinators for spearheading the
revival of ‘Sanidhya’: the XIMB trademark for connecting hearts.

Wishing you and your family the very best. May God bless you all.

Warm regards,

Prof. Punyaslok Dhall
