EARTHS - DESCRIPTION
The following diagram shows the various earths on the car.The associated circuits are shown for each earth.
This makes it easy to identify the earthed circuits on an individual line: faults and failures are therefore easier to locate in the
case of problems that affect more than one function: for example, oxidation of an earth may put several circuits and numerous
functions out of service simultaneously.

EARTHS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The earths present on the vehicle, categorised according to their relationship with the various wires, are as follows.
Radiator wiring:
- battery earth, C01 A
Front wiring:
- left front earth, C10
- right front earth, C11
- ABS front earth (on left corner), C12
- earth on engine, C40
Dashboard wiring:
- passenger side facia earth, C20 A, C20 B
- Air Bag system earth, C50 A
Rear wiring:
- driver's dashboard earth, C 15
- left rear earth, C30
- right rear earth, C31
- heated rear windscreen earth, C32
- Air Bag system earth, C50 B
Battery negative wiring:
- battery earth on engine (on gearbox), C02
- battery earth on bodyshell, C03 A, C03 B
Engine wiring:
- earth on engine, C40 B (petrol engine only)
HIFI amplifier wiring:
- earth for amplifier, C56
Air conditioning wiring:
- air conditioning unit earth, C16
