Jose Rizal is the most admirable and remarkable Filipino for me. He fought even though he knew that his
life would be the price. He persisted in his fight until the last day of his life for the Filipino people.
Because of his approach to the struggle, I realized that we don't need violence in fighting; we can fight
peacefully, yet it can have a significant impact on our opponent. He fought through writing without the
need for bloodshed. It contributes to my personal growth as a child before and as a teen now that when
there are conflicts, we don't need to create chaos or scandal; we should use our intellect and remain
calm. Similarly, from the story of his mother about the firefly approaching the flame despite knowing it
will get burned, Rizal adopted that mentality. It also contributes to mine. I take risks even though I have
no certainty about what will happen or the outcome of what I'm doing. We need to fight for what we
want for our life, for our goal, and for other people specially for our family. I always take a risk for them.
Rizal's way of living his life is admirable. While he may not be admirable in how he loved, the way he
dedicated his time to the Filipinos is such a thing that no one can do it again.

Christianity plays a pivotal role in shaping my Filipino identity. My spiritual beliefs not only influence my
personal connection with God but also contribute significantly to my sense of belonging within a
community. Through specific religious practices, I foster a deep bond with both God and fellow
community members, establishing a foundation for communication based on shared values and spiritual
beliefs. As Christians, these common beliefs not only affirm our individual identities but also collectively
maintain and strengthen our identity as Filipinos. Our faith becomes a unifying thread that intertwines
with our cultural fabric, enriching our sense of being part of a larger Filipino community bonded by
shared spirituality. Christianity shapes our identity, how we will live our life and how we will apply those
values and beliefs. By that it shapes our identity as a filipino that has a uniform way of living.
