Descriptive: A Stormy Night
The night was dark, and the air hung heavy with silence. Suddenly, a low rumble rolled across the
sky, followed by a blinding flash of lightning. Within seconds, the heavens opened, releasing torrents
of rain that hammered the iron roof like a thousand drummers.
The wind howled, rattling the windows and bending trees like fragile twigs. Thunder cracked, shaking
the house to its foundations. Fear crept over me as the lights flickered and died, plunging us into
darkness. My siblings huddled close, their faces pale.
Yet, amid the chaos, I noticed something beautiful: the lightning painted the clouds in silver, and the
rain washed the earth with a refreshing scent. Though frightening, the storm reminded me of
nature’s untamed power and beauty.
