ACHIEVEMENTS

Installation Project of HV 220 kV substation (ABU Zabad Substation):

Overseeing and preparing the site, ensuring safety and proper foundations and earthing system •
inspecting switchgear components for damage during transportation • performing pre-commissioning
procedures • assembling and mounting components according to guidelines and engineering drawings •
check interlocking and safety systems, complying with relevant standards • carry out insulation tests,
Electrical wiring checks, and commissioning • Ensure correct operation of protection relays, metering
devices, and control circuits • generate comprehensive documentation and commissioning reports •
Conduct final inspections and hand over the installed switchgear to the client or authorities.
Installation Project of (220/110/33 kV, 100 MVA) Power Transformer (MSH Substation): • Overseeing
and ensuring the site is well-prepared, including the foundations and grounding system • Inspecting the
transformer carefully after handling it • Lifting and positioning the transformer with expertise •
Assembling and mounting components like radiators, TR bushings, conservator tanks, transformer
breather, and mechanical protections with precision • Installing power connections on the HV/LV/TV
sides, grounding wires, and earthing transformer cables with accuracy • Vacuuming and filling the
transformer with oil diligently • Performing pre-commissioning procedures such as insulation resistance
test, dissipation factor test (Tan δ), transformer turns ratio test (TTR), polarity test, winding resistance
test, open/short circuit test, and Dyn OLTC scan with proficiency • Carrying out electrical wiring checks,
temperature meters calibration, and mechanical protection checks (oil/winding temperature relay test,
Buchholz relay test, pressure relief valve test) with confidence • Ensure correct operation of protection
relays • Commissioning and putting the transformer into service with full assurance.
Installation Project of (220/33/11 kV, 60 MVA) Power Transformer (UMR Substation): Overseeing and
preparing the site (foundations and grounding system) • inspecting the transformer after handling • Lifting
and positioning the transformer • assembling and mounting components (Radiators, TR Bushings,
Conservator Tanks, Transformer Breather, Mechanical Protections) Install power connections on the
HV/LV/TV sides, grounding wires, earthing transformer cables • Transformer Vacuuming and oil Filling •
Performing pre-commissioning procedures • carry out Insulation Resistance Test, Dissipation factor test
(Tan δ), Transformer Turns Ratio test (TTR), Polarity Test, Winding resistance test, Open/Short Circuit Test,
Dyn OLTC scan mentioned electrical wiring checks, temperature meters calibration, mechanical protection
checks (Oil/winding Temperature relay test, Buchholz relay test, Pressure relief valve test) • Ensure correct
operation of protection relays • commissioning and put into service.
I have been the executive and representative for several installation, testing, maintenance, and
commissioning issues such as • Power Transformers installation, testing, and maintenance • GIS & AIS
Switchgear installation and testing (BB, CT, VT, CB, DS, ES, Surge Arresters) • Testing and commissioning
of MV/LV motors • Overhead crane busbars installation • rehabilitation of Boiler Feed Pump (BFP) motors
• rehabilitation of cooling water pumps (CW) motors • rehabilitation of KNPS crane • rehabilitation and
services for emergency diesel generator • PM for Substation Auxiliaries • Maintenance and Testing of
HV/MV circuit breakers • OLTC Maintenance • Retrofitting and adjusting of AIS isolators • Testing and
commissioning of UPS systems, batteries and chargers • Diesel generator automation • HVAC
Maintenance • VFD
I attend fault analysis meetings at LDC to resolve issues related to protection and operations.
I am familiar with the most common switchgear (ABB, LS, Schneider, Siemens, Merlin Gerin, and
others).
I am familiar with testing kits: (CPC100, TESTRANO600, FRANEO800, CBA2000, TORKEL840, CT Analyzer,
Megger DLRO10, Megger S1-568, PFT high voltage tester, OTS oil dielectric tester, ODEN primary current
injection, 15KV Digital Surge Tester, Earth resistance tester, IR Thermal Cam, DIGIVOLT Voltmeter Stick).
