PREFACE
    Traders are continuously surrounded
by false opinions and misleading theories
about the causes of the market movements
by newspapers, media, market “experts”
and universities. That is just hype. The
truth is that the economists and the so
called market strategists know nothing
about what really moves the markets: for
the real causes we must search elsewhere,
we must investigate the nature of repeating
cycles and their effects upon human
beings. Time cycles, that’s the magic
word. Modern theories of finance based
on a supposedly random behavior of the
market have produced pricing models that
failed miserably at the test of the market
when periodical crises wiped out entire
risk management and trading desks in the
most sophisticated investments banks.
Highly leveraged hedge funds have
periodically exploited the “inefficiencies”
of the market (i.e. repeating patterns,
correlations, seasonality) producing
above average returns for months or years
before crashing as the rest of the less
skilled trading crowd: the same
mathematical and statistical models that
can send a rocket into the orbit of another
planet most of the time are useless for
predicting the time cycles and the
fear/greed dynamics that effect human
psychology, the business cycle and the
markets. Clearly there are time cycles at
work in the market that are not easily
recognized and often ignored or
misinterpreted despite the advances in our
knowledge of time series behavior and
dynamics and despite the theoretical
beauty of our modern physics of
vibrations. If our modern science is not of
great help in predicting the future as far as
the financial markets are concerned,
maybe we should turn our attention
elsewhere and focus on some other tools
for studying time cycles and predicting
repeating patters. In this book we look for
answers in the lost knowledge of the
ancients concerning astronomical cycles
and their effect on human activities and
productivity. Many great traders and
forecasters like Gann, Bayer, Benner,
Marechal pioneered this field in the first
half of the last century but their teachings
are now often misunderstood and reduced
to marketing slogans for worthless
advisory services. If the astronomical
knowledge of the ancients could really
provide us with an edge in understanding
the repeating natures of time cycles than
such valuable information would clearly
not be divulged and kept secret: the good
news is that such knowledge has to be
considered accessible since people like
Gann and Bayer obtained it after many
years of study. Following the examples of
such traders I started my own personal
and original study of ancient texts and
monuments searching for clues about the
laws governing time cycles: most of the
times such clues are hidden behind
modern translations and modern
interpretation of the ancients’ symbolic
and analogical language and therefore we
will never be able to fully understand it
because of cultural differences. My
knowledge of Latin and ancient Greek was
of great help in order to decipher some
parts of ancient texts dealing with the
nature of time cycles while my experience
as a trader provided my with some ideas
about how to apply the information I found
to practical matters such as forecasting
stock prices: as a result of my efforts I
greatly improved my knowledge of the
financial markets and my trading skills.
Now my technical indicators provide me
with warnings about trend changes
inferred from price and volume readings
while my knowledge of astronomical
cycles provides me with warnings about
trend changes accordingly to the laws of
time cycles: using both information
together the odds of success in trading are
greatly increased. Far from being the
“holy grail” to forecast time cycles and
from revealing “trading secrets” this book
is intended to provide the readers with
ideas and examples about some
applications of the ancients’ knowledge of
time cycles to the modern financial
markets. The potential for this field of
research is huge and I sincerely hope that
the readers of “Wall Street Watchman”
will find here some inspiration for their
own research and development efforts
toward a better understanding of the
financial markets.

            CHAPTER 1
We will start our quest looking for
the symbol of cyclicality itself and we
will start by showing how the Bible and
some Biblical apocryphal books
incorporate the scientific and symbolic
knowledge o f . The ancient Hebrew
k n e w , having learnt it by either the
Babylonians or by the Egyptians a
thousand year before the Greeks officially
rediscovered it. The Hebrew text of the
Book of Jubilee was written
approximately 160 BCE, it was translated
into Greek and possibly Syriac and later
lost until the Dead Sea Scrolls were
found: the ancients used to call the Book
of Jubilees as The Book of the Divisions
of the Times, it contains 50 chapters and
claims to be a revelation to Moses by the
Angel of the Presence. The Book of
Jubilee makes a veiled reference to
right in the core of the account of the
creation story as if it was meaning that life
itself was created accordingly to the laws
and concept of cyclicality.
There (were) two and twenty heads of
mankind from Adam to Jacob, and two
and twenty kinds of work were made
until the seventh day; this is blessed and
holy; and the former also is blessed and
holy; and this one serves with that one
for sanctification and blessing.
     Book Of Jubilees Chapter 2-23
Two and twenty kinds of work were
made until the seventh day: 22/7 is the
rational symbol of used by the architects
of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The number
2 2 numerologically is the symbol of
creation and represents the principle of
differentiation through history and space,
while the number 7 is the perfect number
and the symbol of the divine. as ratio of
22/7 is therefore the ideal symbol for the
creation as our Lord God creates the
World manifesting his presence in history,
time and in all the things that He created.
The concept of (in its 22/7 form) is
found in the beginning and also at the end
of time: in the Revelation of John (the last
book of the Bible) there are 22 chapters
and the number 7 is the most used number
in the Revelation: the seven golden lamp-
stands (Rv 1,12-20), the mystery of the
seven stars (Rv 1,16-20), the seven seals
(Rv 7 and 8), the seven letters addressed
to the seven churches (Rv 2 and 3), the
seven trumpets (Rv 8,6 and 11,15), the
seven thunders (Rv 10,3-4), the seven
kings (Rv 17,9), the seven heads of the
Beast (Rv 13,1), the seven plagues of the
seven bowls (Rv 15,5).
We can read in Rev 1:8 that “I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
ending, saith the Lord, which is, and
which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty”.
There is no such thing as a linear
time: there is a beginning and an end for
all the things under the sun in the mind of
G o d Almighty and accordingly to His
divine design.
can also be found hidden in the
Bible itself, rigth in the Book of Genesis:
as ratio of 22/7 is hidden in the
geometry of the Noah’s Ark whose
designer, we are told, was God Himself.
The measures for the Ark are given in
Gen. 6:15
And this is the fashion which thou
shalt make it of: The length of the ark
shall be three hundred cubits, the
breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height
of it thirty cubits. Gen. 6:15
We understand that the Ark was 300
cubits long and 50 cubits wide: the total
perimeter of its main deck was 700 cubits.
The measure of the perimeter of the deck
is not random: we believe that it covers
the antediluvian knowledge of in its
22/7 form. The ancient rope stretchers
used knotted cords to survey land and
foundations, one of the most common type
o f measuring cord was divided into 100
cubits marked by the use of knots, 7 such
cords would exactly measure the Noah’s
Ark perimeter. If seven such cords were
straighten they would represent the
diameter of a 2200 cubits circumference
(2200/700=22/7).
        Deluge from the Sistine Chapel
It is generally believed that the shape
of the Ark was that of a parallelepiped
300 cubits long 50 cubits wide and 30
cubits high, but while the translation from
Greek and Hebrew of Gen 6:15 is very
clear as far as the Ark measures are
concerned, the translation of Gen 6:16 is
very obscure as far as the shape of the Ark
is concerned. Although it may sound
strange because we are all very familiar
with the idea of the Ark looking like a big
parallelepiped, alternative interpretations
of the text can be proposed when Gen
6:16 is carefully examined.
Gen 6:16 You shall make a window for the ark,
and you shall finish it to a cubit from            above;
and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it
[with] lower, second, and third [decks].
    One alternative interpretation of Gen
6:16 was offered by the early Christian
anti-Nicene scholar and theologian
Origen (185–254 AD) who described the
No a h’s Ark as pyramidal in shape.
Origen’s second Homily on Genesis
suggests that the Ark was a pyramid with a
rectangular basis (300x50 cubits) and a
height of 30 cubits culminating in a top of
1 cubit. Origen’s Second Homily on
Genesis inspired Lorenzo Ghiberti’s third
panel of his Gates of Paradise (the bronze
doors of the Baptistery of the Florence
Florence). Ghiberti’s third panel of the
Gates of Paradise features Noah's ark,
shown with a pyramidal shape: in the
panel the ark is portrayed on Mt.Ararat
after the Flood with Noah and his family
landing among the surviving animals such
as lions, elephants and others.
Panel 3 of the “Gate of Paradise”
We have built a 3D model of the Ark
with a pyramidal shape using the Biblical
measures to provide the readers with an
exact view of how the Ark would look
like with such shape.
           Pyramidal Ark Model
     Pyramidal Ark Model from above
      Side view: Pyramidal Ark Model
This particular shape and geometry of
the Ark is particularly interesting because
it incorporates geometrical ratios that
points to the knowledge of . We must
focus our attention to the triangle ABC
(see picture below) whose sides’
measures can be easily found using the
Pythagoras’ theorem.
          The Noah’s Ark 3D model
The length of the pyramid base AC is
300 cubits
The length of the diagonal AB is
156.923 cubits
    The AB/AC ratio equals 0.523078494
or /6 (where =22/7)
We have shown how the design of the
Noah’s Ark incorporates the knowledge of
in its 22/7 form. Knowledge of has
been found later in post-diluvian times
incorporated in the design of the Great
Pyramid of Giza as well, whose semi-
perimeter equals 22/7 times its height, or,
in other words, by dividing the base by the
height we get the ratio /2. Both the
Egyptian value and the Biblical value of
is 3.142857 being equal to its rational
form 22/7 .
         The Great Pyramid 3d model
It has been suggested by other authors
that the Gematria value of verses 19-20 of
the Book of Isaiah make an implicit
reference to the great pyramid:
Isa 19:19 In that day shall there be
an altar to the Lord in the midst of the
land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border
thereof to the Lord.
Isa 19:20 And it shall be for a sign
and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts
in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry
unto the Lord.
Isaiah 19:19 has an Hebrew gematria
value of 1683 and Isaiah 19:20 has an
Hebrew gematria value of 3766, summing
together the Gematria value of the two
verses we obtain 5449. If we divide the
height of the great pyramid (using the
value of 138.75 meters or the pyramid
height as of today excluding the lost
pyramidion and including the effect of
erosion) by 5449 the result is 2.54
centimeters. Since one inch equals exactly
2.54 centimeters then it has been said that
t he Gematria value of Isaiah 19:19-20
equals the height of the great pyramid in
inches.
In this particular case, it may well be
just pure chance that the Gematria value of
the above mentioned verses Isa 19:19-20
equals the current height of the Pyramid,
originally the pyramid was higher so the
equation does not hold for the past.
Relying solely on gematria references and
numerical correspondences may lead to
fragile conclusions, but the study of the
numerical value of some Biblical
passages made together with additional
proofs or “witnesses” holds the key to a
full understanding of some hidden and
veiled references that have been lost in
translation.
                  Gematria
Gematria is a very ancient system of
assigning numerical value to a word, this
practice makes it possible to read words
and sentences as numbers by assigning
numerical instead of phonetic value to
each letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The
assumption behind this technique is that
numerical equivalence is not coincidental.
Since the world was created through
God's "speech," each letter represents a
different creative force. Gematria is also
used for Greek and in this case it is known
a s Isopsephia (study of the numerical
relations implicit in the Greek alphabet):
both Hebrew and Greek are intrinsically
alphanumeric, which means that the signs
used to denote letters also serve to
represent numbers.
A superficial exegesis of Chapter 7 of
the Book 1 Kings of the Bible is generally
used to affirm that was not known by the
authors of the Bible: the content of the
chapter deals with the furnishing of the
Temple of Solomon. Among the other
objects a laver is described and its
measures are often improperly quoted to
conclude that was not known by the
builders of the temple: we will prove the
opposite. The Temple of Solomon
described in the Bible was constructed
during the reign of King Salomon
(approximately between 970-930 BCE)
based on specific plans given to King
David, by God. The Temple was designed
to house the Ark of the Covenant: one of
the furnishings in the temple was a laver
to hold water for the priests to wash
before doing certain ceremonies
accordingly to God's requirements. This
laver was so large that it was called a
"sea".
“And he made a molten sea, ten
cubits from the one brim to the other: it
was round all about, and his height was
five cubits: and a line of thirty cubits did
compass it round about.
And under the brim of it round about
there were knops compassing it, ten in a
cubit, compassing the sea round about:
the knops were cast in two rows, when it
was cast.
It stood upon twelve oxen, three
looking toward the north, and three
looking toward the west, and three
looking toward the south, and three
looking toward the east: and the sea was
set above upon them, and all their hinder
parts were inward.
And it was an hand breadth thick,
and the brim thereof was wrought like
the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies:
it contained two thousand baths. 1 Kings
7:23-26
1 Kings 7:23 states that the molten sea
was “ten cubits from the one brim to the
other” and “a line of thirty cubits did
compass it round about;” . Since the
writer of 1 Kings 7:23 seems to imply a
value of 3 for (diameter 10 cubits and
circumference 30 cubits) it has been
concluded that the Hebrew did not know
the exact value of .
Molten Sea model as described in 1
               Kings 7:23-26
There is no room for chance or
mistakes in the Bible: every single word
has a specific meaning and a specific
position accordingly to a precise plan
reflecting the perfection of our Lord God’
s law. By analyzing the Gematria of 1
Kings 7:23 we will show that the author
knew precisely the value of but he
decided for some reasons to express it in
letters rather than in numbers. As we have
said Hebrew is a language intrinsically
alphanumeric hence every word must be
read than weighed and measured, only by
so doing it can be fully understood. The
Hebrew Biblical word for “measuring
line” is (qav H6957) whose gematria
value is 106 (this word is a world used
twenty one times in the Bible) while in 1
Kings 7:23 we can find it together with the
word (qaveh H6961) a variation that
is used only three times in the Bible
whose gematria value is 111.
“…a line (qav/qaveh) of thirty cubits
      did compass it round about…”
The author of 1 Kings 7:23 has made
an “adjustment” to the expected spelling
of line, the value of such adjustment is to
be find in the ratio of the gematria* value
of the original word and its variation:
111/106 This adjustment was not a
random one, the author was signaling
something important with his
spelling/lexical choice. If we follow the
author’s suggestion and proceed
examining this verse along this line of
reasoning we will find out that the ratio
o f 111/106 equals 1.047 and if we
“adjust” the ratio of 30/10 that we
examined earlier with 111/106 we get:
          (30/10)*(111/106)= 3.14
The author of 1 Kings 7:23 has
apparently provided us with the key to
unlock the code to find the real value of
in the molten sea measures (a more
detailed explanation of this exegesis can
be found on “On The Rabbinical Exegesis
of an Enhanced Biblical Value of ” by
Shlomo Edward G. Belaga). The molten
sea description also provides us with a
hint about the division of the ecliptic in 12
parts:
“It stood upon twelve oxen, three
looking toward the north, and three
looking toward the west, and three
looking toward the south, and three
looking toward the east”.
We will talk more about the key
subject of the division of the circle in the
next chapter.
    Another example that illustrates the
key role of and its symbolism in the
Bible can be found applying Gematria to
the Hebrew word used in the Bible for
“Almighty” (Shadday H7706) we
get 314 (300+4+10=314 or x 100).
Gen 17:1 And when Abram was
ninety years old and nine, the LORD
appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I
am the Almighty God; walk before me,
and be thou perfect.
Gen 28:3 And God Almighty bless
thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply
thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of
people;
Gen 35:11 And God said unto
him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and
multiply; a nation and a company of
nations shall be of thee, and kings shall
come out of thy loins;
We can go even further along this line
noting that Shadday (or 314 symbolizing
) is also symbolically and
numerologically related to the Gematria
value of the Hebrew Tetragrammaton (the
four letters of the Hebrew alphabet
representing the name of the God in the
Hebrew Bible). If we “square” the
gematria value of the word “Shadday”
number after number and we sum the
squares of the numbers the result equals
the gematria value of the Tetragrammaton.
           32+12+42 = 9+1+16= 26
We would also like to highlight that
the biblical word for Ark is "tebah"
(H8392) and it is used 26 times in the
Book of Genesis (the same Gematria
value of the Tetragrammaton). We believe
to have found ample evidence that was
well known by the ancients who
considered it intimately connected with
the idea of creation and life, a concept that
is very far from our modern mind whose
idea of time has been affected by the
notion of evolutionism and now it appears
to us a straight line rather than to a circle.
Leaving aside the important moral and
religious meanings and implications
associated with the concept of creation
and cyclicality, it will be enough for us to
acknowledge here that both the Egyptian
and the ancient Hebrew (possibly form
antediluvian times) knew very well and
its use as a measure of both time and
space. The concept of measuring in the
same way time and space is very
important for our study of time cycles
applied to the stock market: we all know
since the early years of school that is
used in geometry to “square the circle”,
now we will show how can be used to
“square both time and space in time cycles
analysis”. We will use in its rational
form of 22/7 as the ancient Egyptian and
Hebrew did but we will apply it to
measure stock market cycles: the
hypothesis is that can be used to find
turning points in the stock market because
it can forecast when a cyclical move will
balance itself in time and space (where
space is price). To perform such test we
will use daily prices of the S&P500 index
and we will draw trend lines from highs
and lows of its time series with slopes
(number of points per day) equal to or
to a fraction of . Such trend lines will
connect lower lows and higher highs in
the chart if the hypothesis is correct. For
other financial instruments the same
analysis can be repeated by simply
adapting the “space” scale (i.e. price
scale).
                 Example 1
We have drawn trendlines with a
slope of 0.523078494 points per day on
the daily chart of the S&P 500 index
where 0.523078494 equals /6 (where
=22/7), the same ratio incorporated by the
Pyramidal Ark.
T he s e trendlines seems to act as
potential turning points: whenever the
price touches them a short term trend
reversal takes places as if they
represented points in space and time
where the market reaches a predefined
target. It is critical to understand here that
these trendlines can be drawn EX ANTE,
they do not simply connect tops and
bottoms EX POST. When a market turns
we can draw one of these lines from that
turning points and we know EX ANTE
that the next time the market will touch that
line a reaction will occur.
                  Example 2
We have drawn trendlines with a
slope of 1.5714 points per day on the
daily chart of the S&P 500 index where
1.5714 equals /2 (where =22/7), the
same ratio incorporated by the Great
Pyramid of Giza.
    Once again these particular trendlines
act as potential turning points: whenever
the price touches them a short term trend
reversal takes places as if they
represented points in space and time
where the market reach a predefined
target. Once again these particular
trendlines are drawn EX ANTE, they do
not simply connects tops and bottoms EX
POST. When a market turns we can draw
one of these lines from that turning points
and we know EX ANTE that the next time
the market will touch that line a reaction
will occur.
                  Example 3
We have drawn trendlines with a
slope of 0.785714 points per day on the
daily chart of the S&P 500 index where
0.785714 equals /4 (where =22/7).
    Once again these particular trendlines
act as potential turning points: whenever
the price touches them a short term trend
reversal takes places as if they
represented points in space and time
where the market reach a predefined
target. Once again these particular
trendlines are drawn EX ANTE, they do
not simply connects tops and bottoms EX
POST.
This particular ratio /4 equals :
the relation between and is not by
chance, it is a mathematical relation that
was well known to the ancients (the Great
Pyramid of Giza incorporated both ratios).
                 Example 4
The next chart shows how the future
contract of the S&P500 index (a financial
instrument which is exchanged five days a
week for twenty four hours a day) shows a
tendency to make very short term trend
reversal every twenty-two hours: as we
have learnt 22 symbolizes the end of a
cycle and a number of completeness (the
twenty two kinds of works of creation).
                 Example 5:
Likewise 22 also the number 7 can
symbolize the end of a cycle and a number
of completeness: we have shown how the
market seems to reverse its short term
trend every 22 hours, we may look to
similar tendencies every 22 days, weeks,
months or every 7 hours, days, weeks…
the next chart shows the results of a
spectral analysis of the future contract on
the S&P 500 Index indicating a clear
presence of a 7 days cycle in the
particular dataset used. The readers may
try different combinations of the number
22 and 7 with different financial
instruments: very often cycles will be
found using 22 (numerator of as 22/7)
or 7 (denominator of as 22/7).
                   Example 6
The grid: we draw a grid composed
of rising and falling trendlines with slopes
22 points per 7 days or -22 points per 7
days like we did in the next chart, we
will find interesting turning points and
reactions points for the S&P 500 futures.
First we have found evidence of the
22/7 ratio significance for both time and
space measurements in the design of the
Noah’s Ark and in that of the Great
Pyramid of Giza as well, then we have
shown that almost every combination of
the numbers 22 and 7 as time intervals or
as price intervals can provide us with
special points in time and space
associated with reversal and turning
points in the market short term trend or
behavior. We will now continue to look
for hints about the laws governing time
cycles in the writings and monuments of
the ancients and we will use the stock
market as an empirical way to test the
reliability of our findings.
            CHAPTER 2
      The division of the Circle
It is commonly acknowledged that the
division of the circle in 360 degrees and
the division on the Zodiac in twelve
constellations of 30 degrees both
originated in Mesopotamia during the
Neo-Babylonian period as final
development and rationalization of an
earlier tradition dating back to the 2nd
millennium BC when constellations and
star names were recorded on clay tablets
for the first time in history. The first
formal constellations/stars lists appeared
i n Mesopotamia approximately during the
mid 12th century BC on circular astrolabes
(or circular star calendars).
       Fragment of a Circular Star
    Calendar from (BritishMuseum)
    Such “Circular Star Calendars” had
the function of identifying the stars rising
above the horizon each month and
recording the position of the stars
accordingly to a tripartite division of the
sky: the “path” of An (the Sumerian god
of the firmament), the “path” of Ki (the
Sumerian goddess of the earth) and the
“path” of Enlil (the Sumerian god of the
air). Each of the twelve months was
identified with 3 calendar stars (one rising
in the path of Ea, one in the path of Anu,
one in the path of Enlil) with the year
being marked by a total of 36 calendar
stars. These Babylonian “Circular Star
Calendars” were divided by 3 concentric
bands (marking the borders between the 3
stellar paths) and by 12 radial lines
(demarking the 12 months of the year) so
that 3 stars per month could be identified
on the circular calendar. The stars in the
path of Ea were those rising south of the
ecliptic and were located in the outer ring
of the circular stars calendar (one for each
of the twelve months), the stars in the path
of Anu were those rising on the region of
the sky in the proximity of the ecliptic and
were located in the middle ring of the
circular stars calendar (one for each of the
twelve months), the and stars in the path
o f Enlil were those rising north of the
ecliptic and were located in the inner ring
of the circular stars calendar (one for
each of the twelve months): the heliacal
rising of three stars on these three path
was marking each of the twelve months.
By making their instruments circular they
could also see which stars would be
setting or, more importantly as it was
easier to see, which stars were
culminating at dawn for any given month.
Each of the 36 stars marked one-third of
an ideal month (for a total of three stars
each month of 30 days).
          A 1934 reconstruction of a
Babylonian circular star calendar by the
   German Assyriologist Albert Schott.
Discovered in the library of King
Ashurbanipal (ruler of Assyria between
669-626 BC) the “Mul.Apin” series of
clay tablets dated 687 BC helped the
scholars to further improve our knowledge
of the Babylonian Astronomy. Mul.Apin
can be defined an astronomical
compendium including a list of 66 stars
and constellations and indications about
astronomical phenomena such as rising,
setting and culmination dates. The main
vision of the sky adopted in the Mul.Apin
follows the tradition of the Circular Star
Calendars using the tripartite division of
the Paths of Ea, Anu and Enlil since Mul-
Apin is known to be a reproduction of an
earlier text presumably written around
1000 BC which contains the full
description of the Mesopotamian
constellation dating to the late 2nd
millennium BC. The text runs to two
tablets divided in sections: section
number 2 of tablet number 1 contains a
sequential list of the heliacal rising dates
of 36 stars in a calendar comprised of 12
months of 30 days each. In the Mul.Apin
tablets the Zodiac is not yet divided into
twelve equal parts: the path of the Moon
is described as crossing Seventeen
/Eighteen constellation along the Ecliptic.
             The Mul.Apin Tablet
     The next significant improvement of
these ancient divisions of the circle in
twelve parts can be found on the
“Babylonian Astronomical Diaries”
(which cover the time between 650 BC
and 69 BC) : from 400 BC onward they
included measurements of planetary
positions in degrees, minutes and seconds
of arc relative to the standard 12 signs of
the Zodiac. The Babylonian hexadecimal
numeral system is credited with the
development of the usage of 60 seconds in
a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, and 360
(60×6) degrees in a circle. Between the
fifth and first centuries BC Babylonians
produced horoscopes dated to the birth of
an individual recording the position on the
Zodiac of seven planets at the time of birth
and containing invocations to the deities
represented by these seven planets and
statements concerning the life of the native
( 28 tables have been found and archived
in the British Museum). The vocabulary of
such horoscopes is the same as that of the
Astronomical Diaries. These “Babylonian
Horoscopes” were based on the classical
Babylonian sidereal Zodiac as developed
in the Astronomical Diaries. The zodiac
divided into twelve signs of 30° each was
transmitted from Babylon to Greece
probably during the Hellenistic period
through the works of Babylonian writers
such as Berossus (whose lost “History of
Babylonia” was dated approximately at
the beginning of the third century BC). The
Greek astronomer Hipparchus of Nicaea
(circa 190-120 BC) considered the
greatest astronomer of antiquity is widely
believed to have been deeply influenced
by Babylonian sources for the completion
of his astronomical works: he was the first
Greek known to divide the circle in 360
degrees of 60 arc minutes. Hipparchus
also compiled a star catalog around 135
BC which was adopted almost three
centuries later by Claudius Ptolemaeus
(Ptolemy) for the preparation of his
Almagest. The description of the Zodiac
in Ptolemy’s Almagest of the second
century AD divided into twelve sectors of
30 degrees is based on the model of the
Babylonian zodiacs developed in the fifth
century BC. The Babylonian influence
through the Hellenistic syncretism is also
evident in the Hellenistic in Ptolemaic
Egypt. The Dendera zodiac sculptured on
the ceiling of the hall of a chapel
dedicated to Osiris in the Hathor temple at
Dendera is dated approximately 50 BC
(although it may well be representing the
sky of a much earlier period ): it is the
first known depiction of the classical
zodiac of twelve signs.
        Denderah Zodiac reproduction
We have shown above how the
division of the Zodiac into twelve equal
signs and the division of the sky into a
circle of 360 degrees seems to be the final
development of an earlier Sumerian
tradition culminating with the “Babylonian
Astronomical Diaries” dated between 600
and 450 BC. This consensus chronology
for the development of the division of the
circle cannot explain the origin of some
Biblical verses pointing to the same
knowledge of the Zodiac in earlier
periods. The notion of a year divided into
12 months of 30 days (a 360 days per
year calendar related to the 360 degrees
of the circle) can be found in the Book of
Genesis. The description of the Flood
duration in the Book of Genesis uses a
360 days calendar.
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s
life, in the second month, the seventeenth
day of the month, the same day were all
the fountains of the great deep broken
up, and the windows of heaven were
opened. Gen 7:11
And the waters returned from off the
earth continually: and after the end of
the hundred and fifty days the waters
were abated. Gen 8:3
And the ark rested in the seventh
month, on the seventeenth day of the
month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
Gen 8:4
     According to Genesis the Flood
covered the land from the 17th of the 2nd
month to the 17th of the 7th month: a period
of 147 days using a lunar calendar but we
are also told that the waters were abated
after 150 days: this clearly implies that a
5-month period was composed of 150
days in the antediluvian calendar (a month
must then be composed of 30 days). We
have shown earlier how the Babylonian
“Circular Star Calendars” adopted a
similar division of the year in twelve
months of thirty days in the late second
millennium BC, however at that time in
Babylon the civil year was already
regulated by a lunisolar calendar using
various intercalary methods to track the
solar year and the seasons. One of the
main functions of the “Circular Star
Calendars” was indeed to help tracking
the amount of adjustment needed to align
the solar year with the lunar year. On the
contrary the Noah’s calendar looks like a
pure 360 days calendar in which the
months length does not track the moon
synodic cycle and in which the year length
does not track the solar cycle. This
enigmatic Noah’s calendar was likely
used well before the period of “Circular
Star Calendars” and its “echo” has
survived in Gen 8:3. The Bible itself
always adopts a lunisolar calendar similar
to the one used in Babylon, the only traces
of this 360 days calendar can be found in
the above verses of Genesis and in the
prophetic books of Daniel and Ezekiel.
    Another “echo” of such antediluvian
knowledge can be found in the Blessing of
Jacob (Gen 49:1-28) which provides us
with evidence that at each of the twelve
tribes of Israel were associated a specific
astronomical correspondence to a
constellation indicating the knowledge of
the twelve parts division of the zodiac.
The Blessing of Jacob of Genesis 49
begins with his first born son Reuben and
described as the Bull, the cardinal sign
holding the Spring Equinox and the
beginning of the year at the time of the
Blessing. Astronomically the Spring
Equinox remained in the Taurus
constellation (the Bull) from
approximately 4000BC to 1800BC and
later precessed in the Aries constellation
which held it for the following two
thousand years till the beginning of our
era.
Chart of the 12 constellation and the
             4 cardinal points
Now that we have learnt how the
twelve tribes of Israel can be associated
to the twelve constellations, we can make
some additional interesting observations.
In the second chapter of the Biblical Book
of Numbers (Num 2:1-31) the camp of the
twelve tribes of Israel is described. Such
description tells that the tribe of Judah
used to hold the East part of the camp: this
is a very important and interesting detail
since the tribe of Judah is associated with
the constellation of Lion and East is the
cardinal point associated with the Spring
Equinox. The age of the Spring Equinox in
Lion started approximately in 10,500 BC
(many thousands years before the
existence of the twelve tribes of Israel).
The same astronomical period is depicted
in the iconography of the Great Sphinx of
Giza, half Lion, and half Virgin. Why the
passage of the spring equinox in Lion was
so important for many different cultures is
a mystery and will likely remains a
mystery because these traditions points to
a period at least six thousands years
before the beginning of the civilization of
Mesopotamia and Egypt. The Bible seems
to contain hints of very ancient traditions
like the Noah’s use of a 360 days calendar
and the plant of the twelve tribes’ camp.
We now have some reasons to believe that
the division of the Zodiac in twelve parts
must not be credited to the Babylonians.
The writers of the Book of Genesis knew
it well before the Babylonian
Astronomical Diaries incorporating such
knowledge were written approximately
around 400BC. We may suggest that the
knowledge of the twelve parts Zodiac in
its current form was not originated in
Mesopotamia but introduced there during
the Babylonian captivity of the Hebrew
from 586 BC. In the Bible there are many
examples off cultural exchanges between
the Hebrew and the people of
Mesopotamia: after all it is written that
Abraham was from Ur of the Chaldeans
(Gen 11:28), that the prophet Daniel and
some others young Hebrew (Dan 1:1-4)
had the chance to learn the tongue and uses
of the Chaldeans during the period of their
captivity. We also read in the Bible (2
Kings 17:24-28) that the king of Assyria
transported groups of people from
Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and
Sepharvaim and resettled them in the
towns of Samaria, replacing the people of
Israel and he sent one of the exiled priests
from Samaria back to Israel to teach the
new residents the religious customs of the
God of the land (circa 720 BC). Our
readers must have realized by now the
centrality of the Bible to recover the lost
knowledge of our antediluvian ancestors:
but what do we know about the origin of
the Bible, when was it written?
So Moses wrote down this law and
gave it to the priests, who carried the
Ark of the Lord’s covenant, and to the
leaders of Israel. (Deut 31:9)
The Pentateuch is composed by the
Law taught to Moses by our Lord God on
Mount Sinai (probably around 1550 BC)
and by the history of Israel collected from
several books written by Moses himself
and Joshua. The Pentateuch was the Book
of the Law in the days of David and
Salomon who ordered the affairs of the
temple accordingly to the Law of this
Book. The main corpus of the Bible has
reached us in its current form mainly from
the traditional Hebrew Masoretic text, the
Greek Septuagint, the Samaritan
Pentateuch and the biblical manuscripts
f r o m Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls):
variation to the original text may have
occurred up to the fifth century BC.
Our research about the origin of the
division of the circle in 360 degrees
cannot forget to explore the Egyptian
tradition. The “astronomical ceilings” of
Egyptian tombs and sarcophagi show
division of the sky based on the system of
decans which may have something in
common with the system devised by the
Babylonians for their “circular star
calendars”. The Early Egyptian used to
divide the nighttime (and daytime) in
twelve hours: since the length of days and
night varies according to the seasons,
these hours had variable length. It is
unknown when the division of the night
hours became exactly twelve, we know
that in the period of the New Kingdom
there are a number of works describing
the passage of the Sun through the twelve
division of the Duat. Most tombs in the
Valley of the Kings (dated from the 16 th
to 11 th century BC) contain passages from
the Book of the Secret Chamber,
(“Amduat” : the earliest of all funerary
text) in which the sun god’s journey
through the twelve divisions of the
underworld (the twelve hours of the night
) is described. The burial chambers of
Tuthmosis III (1479–1426 BC, 18th
Dynasty) contain almost the complete
text. We also can find traces of the
division of the night into hours in the
Pyramid Texts (the oldest collection of
religious spells known to us from ancient
Egypt written on the walls of pyramids
dated between 2400-2300 BC). Utterance
251 and 320 mention night hours as being
reckoned by three stars. The division of
the night in twelve hours, the division of
the day in twelve hours and the division of
the years in 36 decans of 10 days (for a
total year count of 360 days) are all
related and all dated at least to the third
millennium BC.
The twelve forms of the Sun during
the twelve hours of the day from the
ceiling of the Hall of New Year in the
temple of Horus in Edfu (Ptolemaic
period)
It is interesting to look deeper into this
subject by examining the Egyptian system
o f Decans. The Egyptian Decans were
groups of stars heliacally rising above the
dawn horizon during intervals of ten days.
There were 36 decans defining a year of
360 days (36 X 10 = 360 days). Lists of
Decans initially appeared on Middle
Kingdom (2080 BC and 1640 BC) on
wooden coffin lids. These lists of decans
painted inside the coffin lids worked as
star clocks based on a mechanism of
recording the rising of decans (group of
stars) at 12 intervals during the night and
at 10 days intervals through the year
linking by so doing the measuring system
of the daily clock to the yearly calendar. A
star rising heliacally on one day begin to
rise a bit earlier day after day and to
appear a bit higher at dawn day after day
because of the earth’s movement along the
ecliptic, eventually after few days another
star becomes the morning star:
observation led to the finding of a
sequence of stars heliacally rising each 10
days which in turn led to the division of
the year into 36 decans (the stars selected
for each decan had a rising pattern similar
to that of Sirius which is invisible for 70
days each year at Egypt latitudes and also
had to be located just south of the
ecliptic). The star clocks painted inside
the coffin lids were a real stellar clock
working on the basis of the observation of
groups of stars behaving similarly: each
one of them had to be yearly visible in the
night sky for at least twelve decades, from
the time it indicated the 12th hour of the
night until it indicated the first hour of the
night. A star rising heliacally on the first
day of one decan could be thought as the
star marking the end of the night for that
day, hence the star marking the last hour of
the night. The same star 10 days later
would be rising well before the end of the
night: such time interval would be
considered 1 hour, eventually after 12
intervals of 10 (one season of 1/3 of the
3 6 decans) days the whole 12 hours
division of the nighttime would be
completed. Obviously these hours had not
the same length due to the earth movement
along the ecliptic defining the season and
the relative length of day and night.

wooden sarcophagus of Idy (Asyut, First
Intermediate Period) with a table of
twelve lines each referring to an hour of
the night. On the upper horizontal all the
decades of the Egyptian year are
mentioned.
Later during the New Kingdom (1545
– 1080BC) astronomical ceilings were
painted on the Egyptian Pharaohs’ tombs
listing the decanal stars and also the five
planets visible with the naked eye in a
more developed picture of the sky. Among
these astronomical ceilings a special
place is hold by the “Senenmut map”.
Senenmut was an 18th dynasty (1550-1292
BC) ancient Egyptian architect, the
astronomical drawings on the northern
half of ceiling of his tomb list some
astronomical events through which one
could date the sky approximately around
1534 BC. The southern half of the
“Senenmut map” contained a list of
decans derived from the paintings inside
the coffins lids of the Late Middle
Kingdom. On the map there is also a lunar
calendar represented by 12 large circles.
The astronomical ceiling of the tomb
               of Senenmut
The Egyptian star clocks were based
on decans dividing the year into thirty-six
periods of ten days (36x10=360) while
the Babylonian Circular Star calendars
employed a division of the sky in twelve
period of thirty days (12x30=360). The
Book of Genesis also shows how the
antediluvian patriarchs used a 360 days
calendar. Is it possible that these three
seemingly independent examples of circle
division in 360 degrees originated from a
unique common source rather than being
the result of cultural diffusion? The
Egyptian tradition, the Biblical tradition
and the Babylonian tradition may all be
“echoes” of a common lost knowledge
originated before the deluge.
   The Great Pyramid and Sphinx
The study of the units of measure of
space and time used in ancient Egypt and
mentioned in the Bible shows how
Geometry and Astronomy were deeply
interconnected in the sacred science of the
ancients. The division of the circle in 360
degrees was a measure of both time and
space. We will now try to understand how
and when such concept of measuring time
and space at the same time could have
been originated: as far as we know, the
oldest known unit of measure of space
was the Egyptian royal cubit
(representing a length of 0.523 to 0.525
meter since 2700BC ) which was
subdivided into 7 palms of 4 digits, a 28-
parts measure in total. The Old Egyptian
geometers could calculate the square root
of two from the value of the hypotenuse of
a cubit. In ancient Egypt rope stretchers
used knotted cords to survey land and
foundations, one type of measuring cord
was divided into 100 cubits which were
marked by the use of knots, another type of
cord was divided by 13 knots into 12
spaces of 1 cubit each, if such 12 knots
rope was pegged to the ground in the
dimensions of 3-4-5, a right triangle
would emerge enabling the Ancient
Egyptian builders to lay the foundations
for their buildings accurately. It is thought
that Pythagoras had a chance to closely
study the 3-4-5 triangle by observing the
rope stretchers at work during his travel
into Egypt.
Surveying of the land, scene from the
Tomb of Menna (New Kingdom 18th
dynasty circa 1400-1390 BC).
The cord was of great significance to
the Egyptians: a ritual ceremony called
“stretching of the cord ” was performed at
the laying of the foundations of temples
and other public buildings. We can find
traces of the importance of the “stretching
of the cord” in the Bible as well:
Where wast thou when I laid the
foundations of the earth? Declare, if
thou hast understanding. Who hath laid
the measures thereof, if thou knowest?
Or who hath stretched the line upon it?
Job 38:4-5
The line mentioned in this passage of
the Book of Job (one of the oldest books
of the Bible) is indeed a measuring cord
(from Hebrew word (qav H6957) and
from the Greek word in the
Septuagint text. We will focus on the 12
cubits cord: when this cord is looped as
full circle we find that its radius equals
1.91 cubits (exactly 1 meter or 1/100000th
of the quarter of the earth’s meridian).
    The proportionality ratio between the
Earth’s circumference and the 12 cubits
cord sheds some light Job 38:4-5 and
once again creates a link between the
Bible and the ancient Egyptians’
knowledge. The 12 cubits cord looped as
full circle had also some other very
interesting properties when we think of it
as a watch bezel: an arc of 1 cubit equals
1 hour and an arc of 1/36 of full circle
equals 1/3 cubit establishing an ideal link
between the measure of space (cubits) and
the measure of time
(decans).
The idea that time equals space is
something that reminds us of our modern
physics theories, a similar concept was
likely behind the ancient measuring
systems.
In the Gospel of Luke our Lord Jesus
says:
“And which of you by being anxious
can add a single cubit to his life’s span?
“If then you cannot do even a very little
thing, why are you anxious about other
matters?
(Luke 12:25-26).
A unit of measure of space such as the
cubit (in Greek in Hebrew
‘ammah) is used to indicate a measure of
time. Additional evidence of the link
between space, time, geometry and
astronomy in the Bible and in ancient
Egypt is provided by another important
chapter in the Book of Ecclesiastes:
To every [thing there is] a season,
and a time to every purpose under the
heaven: A time to be born, and a time to
die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck
up [that which is] planted; A time to kill,
and a time to heal; a time to break down,
and a time to build up; A time to weep,
and a time to laugh; a time to mourn,
and a time to dance; A time to cast away
stones, and a time to gather stones
together; a time to embrace, and a time
to refrain from embracing; A time to get,
and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a
time to cast away; A time to rend, and a
time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a
time to speak; A time to love, and a time
to hate; a time of war, and a time of
peace.
    Ecc 3:1-8
If we read carefully the above verses
we can find that the word “time” is used
28 times in the list of times in Ecc 3:2-8
and a total of 29 times if we include
verse Ecc 3:1 From the definition of cubit
we know that it was subdivided into 7
palms of 4 digits (28 parts in total) and
we also know that the Orbital period of
the Moon equals 27 days 7 h hours and
43 minutes while its Synodic period
equals 29 days 12 hours and 44 minutes:
we are suggesting here that the
subdivisions of the Royal Cubit, an unit
of measure of space, are closely related to
the phases of the moon and that the verses
of the Ecclesiastes contain a veiled
reference to the moon phases as well;
once again measures of space and time are
harmonically bonded together. The idea
that space equals time may help us to
better understand some parts of the Bible
in which traces of a lost science may be
left such as for example the description of
the Temple of Solomon which captured
the attention of Sir Isaac Netwon so much
that he devoted a long time and many
efforts in trying to study its geometry and
design. One final note about the division
of the circle in 12 parts: the square of 12
equals 144 or the measure in cubits of the
rampart of the celestial Jerusalem (Rv
21,17). In a circumference a 144 degrees
angle creates a reflex angle of 216
degrees (6x6x6 or the number of the Beast
of the Revelation, Rv 13,18). The number
144 times 1000 equals 144000 or the
number of elected of all the tribes of
Israel, marked of the seal of God (Rv 7,1).
The same number 144000 was the total
number of casing stones that formed the
outermost layer of the Great Pyramid.
Again the concept of the circle/cycle
being both a measure of time and space as
if geometry and astronomy once were two
sides of the same medal.
The equilateral triangle divides the
circle in three arcs which subtend an
         angle of 120 degrees.
The square divides the circle in four
arcs which subtend an angle of 90
            degrees.
The Hexagon divides the circle in six
arcs which subtend an angle of 60
            degrees.
The Dodecagon divides the circle in
twelve arcs which subtend an angle of 30
                degrees.
            CHAPTER 3
          Astronomical cycles
In this chapter we will analyze
cyclical phenomena using the divisions of
the circle developed by the ancients. We
will think of time and space as both
circular intrinsically connected: dividing
time cycles then will require the adoption
of the tools of both geometry and
astronomy. We will show a method to
discover astronomical cycles and
compare them to the stock market
behavior in order to find a correlation that
can be used for trading. Rather than
providing the readers with a mechanical
trading system or with “black-box” rules
we believe that showing the method with
few examples will prove to be more
useful for our readers who will learn how
to discover, study and understand by
themselves some laws of cyclicality
hidden in the apparently chaotic or
random stock market behavior.
             Sirius 70 days cycle
     The ancient Egyptians considered the
star Sirius (identified with the goddess
Isis) a giver of life for it always
reappeared above the horizon every year
at the time of the annual flooding of the
Nile. The ancient Egyptians considered
the period between the last visibility day
of Sirius and its first visibility day
(exactly 70 days separating the heliacal
setting an rising of Sirius) as a time of
death and rebirth connected to the passing
of Isis and Osiris through the Duat.
Egyptian funeral rites and ceremonies
followed this 70 days cycle: the death of a
pharaoh was followed by immediate
mummification and later by burial after
70 days from the death. We can find
indirect references to a 70 days cycle in
the Bible as well: the 70 ancients adoring
the idols. (Ezk 8,11), the 70 palm trees of
Elim (Ex 15,27), Jacob has fathering 70
children. (Ex 1,5), the 70 Hebrews who
entered with Jacob in Egypt (Gn 46,27),
the Egyptians criying the death of Jacob
for 70 days (Gn 50,3). There was a law
requiring that the Hebrew mothers went to
the temple of Jerusalem 70 days after the
arrival of a girl in order to offer a one
year old lamb and a turtledove or a young
pigeon. According to Saint Augustin the
number 70 is a symbol for the totality of
an evolution or, in other words, symbol of
an evolutionary cycle being completed.
Using this important small Sothic cycle of
70 days, we will try to find out if it has
any correlation with cycles of the
financial markets assuming that a stock
index average is a real time track record
of humans’ activity and productivity that
can be subject to cyclicality. In the next
chart of the Dow Jones Industrials
Average we draw a sine wave of 70 days
periods (counting calendar days not
trading days): the vertical lines in the
chart are spaced 35 days or 50% of the 70
days periods represented by the sine
curves (below the chart from peak to
peak). At first sight we can easily say
without any statistical analysis that there
is almost no correlation between such
cycle and the stock market turning points:
with the cycle centered on March 6, 2009
low, there is some correlation with
bottoms and tops before March 6 but
really no correlation with bottoms and
tops after March 6.
70 days cycle and the US stock
                   market
     By making additional studies and
research about this particular cycle, we
found out that by adjusting the invisibility
period of Sirius for NYC longitude and
latitude (after all Wall Street is in New
York and not in Egypt) the number of days
representing the journey of Sirius “into the
underworld” is 86 rather than 70 days
(this period is sixteen days longer than in
Egypt due to the change in latitude
between the two different places): for
example in 2009 the Sirius last visibility
day in NYC was May 18 and the first
visibility day was August 12 (see chart
below). Making the proper adjustments to
our cycle we will take a quick look on the
Dow Industrial to verify if we can track an
86 days cycle (Sirius visibility cycle
adjusted for NY coordinates). Without the
need of any complex algorithm, we can
see at naked eye in the next charts how
equally spaced intervals of 86 calendar
days have a very interesting correlation
with significant turning points in the Dow
Jones Industrial Average. Note in the chart
below how the vertical lines are spaced
43 days or 50% of the 86 days periods
represented by the full sine curves
measured from peak to peak.
86 days cycle during 2009 (centered
           on March 6, 2009 low)
I believe this is a very interesting
result that deserves more attention and
study by our readers and that may prove to
be useful in improving our forecasting
abilities. The next chart shows the same
cycle (still centered on March 6, 2009)
going back to year 2007 and still showing
some interesting correlation with the
market swings although with a couple of
days difference between the exact market
turning date and the cycle date. The
choice of the center date to calculate the
cycle dates seems to play an important
role on the reliability of this approach:
only important tops or lows should be
selected to center the cycle and then
calculate the projected dates.

          on March 6, 2009 low)
The chart in the next page shows the
visibility phenomena of the star Sirius for
year 2009 for an observer in New York:
such calculations require the use of an
astronomical software package and some
care by the users to make sure that the
data, settings and parameters utilized to
obtain the results are all coherent. A
preliminary study of some basic
astronomy and of basic notions about the
celestial coordinate system used for
mapping positions on the celestial sphere
may be required before adventuring into
the computation of astronomical cycles:
even if modern software is very user
friendly some theoretical background is
really required.

            Mercury 115 days cycle
Mercury is the innermost and smallest
planet in the Solar System with an orbital
period of 88 days and an average synodic
period of 115.88 days (this average is
calculated from an inferior conjunction of
Mercury with the sun to the next) that may
range from a minimum of 105 to a
maximum of 129 days. An inferior
conjunction occurs when two planets lie
in a line on the same side of the Sun
appearing conjunct from an observer
located on the Earth, on the contrary an
observer located on Mercury would see
the Earth in apparent “opposition” to the
Sun.
      Geometry of inferior and superior
              conjunctions
    During each cycle Mercury forms
another type of conjunction with the Sun
called superior conjunction (when
Mercury is on the opposite side of the Sun
as seen from the Earth). Some other
interesting astronomical data about
Mercury: its solar day lasts about 176
Earth days being about twice as long as its
own orbital period and hence creating an
“orbital resonance” with a 2:1 ratio, the
same ratio of the basic musical interval
called Octave. Mercury orbit exhibits a
particular harmonic relationship with
other heavenly bodies: Mercury synodic
period equals 3/2 Φ2 times the Moon
synodic period, Mercury orbital period
equals 2Φ times the Moon orbital period,
the Earth orbital period equals Mercury
synodic period times 22/7 + 7 days.
Considering that the orbit of Mercury
exhibits “harmonic rhythms” with the
orbits of the Moon and of the Earth we
will make the assumption that its periods
and cycles may display some interesting
correlation with the human affairs and we
will test such assumption: we will
investigate any evidence of such
correlation using again the stock market as
a proxy for human activity. Our readers
may be interested to know that a market
forecaster called George Bayer in the
Thirties made some similar studies
involving Mercury (see bibliography).
Before venturing in our stock market
correlation analysis it is worth mentioning
some of the lore about the planet Mercury.
The ancients, including the Sumerians, the
Babylonians, the Egyptians and the Maya
all observed and closely tracked the
cycles of Mercury. The earliest known
recorded observations of Mercury are
from the Mul.Apin tablets. In mythology
Mercury was the Roman God of
commerce and travel and it was
associated to the Greek God Hermes, the
messenger of the Gods. In esoteric
literature Mercury is often called the Son
of Wisdom, the Watchman of the Sun. An
analogy between the Greek god Hermes
and the Egyptian Thoth may also be made
on the basis of their mythological
functions and attributes. Mercury’s
geocentric movement along the ecliptic
looks like a dance with the sun: it swings
like a pendulum never getting too far
ahead of or behind the Sun with a
maximum angular separation of just 28
degrees that makes the observation of this
planet quite difficult due to its close
proximity with the sun. Mercury orbits the
Sun at a speed different from the Earth’s
speed, such difference creates periods of
apparent backward movement of Mercury
as it circles the Sun: three times a year
Mercury appears to slow down, station
(stop), and reverse direction as seen from
the Earth.
     Geocentric view of Mercury orbit
    Angular separation between Mercury
and the Sun always lower than 28
                  degrees
Now we will focus on the time cycle
that tracks the approximately 115 average
days synodic cycle of Mercury which
begins with its inferior conjunction with
the Sun:
1-Before the beginning of our cycle
Mercury apparent geocentric motion
slows down as it gets closer to the Sun, at
some point it gets so close that it can no
more be seen from the Earth (2007-06-
14)*. After disappearing from sigth,
Mercury’s apparent motion continues to
slow down till the planet becomes
stationary and turns retrograde (2007-06-
15)
2-Mercury keeps getting closer to the
Sun till it reaches Inferior Conjunction
with it (2007-06-28) Seen from the Earth,
during the conjunction the planet passes
slightly North or South of the Sun and in
rare occasions it can pass directly in front
of the Sun (an event known as transit)
    3-Mercury apparent motion turns
Stationary to Direct
*please find inside the brackets an
example for this cycle with the summer
of 2007 dates
    Following inferior conjunction,
Mercury moves forward, its apparent
motion turns stationary to direct (2007-07-
09) and it speeds ahead of the Sun
emerging in the dawn sky as ‘morning
star’ (2007-07-18).
    4-As Mercury moves further away
from the Sun (its solar elongation slowly
increases westwards) eventually it
reaches its greatest western elongation
(2007-07-20). At this stage, depending
upon the observer’s latitude, it rises more
or less up to an hour before sunrise;
     5-After greatest western elongation,
Mercury slows down and begins to move
back in towards the Sun (its solar
elongation slowly decreases). Mercury
then disappears from morning view
(2007-08-06) and get closer to the Sun
till it reaches a Superior Conjunction
(2007-08-15 ).
     6- Mercury re-emerges in the
evening sky as ‘evening star’ (2007-08-
24) setting shortly after the Sun and
moving further away from it day after day
(solar elongation increasing eastwards).
Depending upon the observer’s latitude,
Mercury sets more or less an hour after
the sun eventually reaching evening max
elongation (2008-09-29) and beginning to
slow down again.
    7-Mercury keeps slowing down and
its apparent motion turns Stationary to
Retrograde (2007-10-11) allowing the
Sun to catch up again and to sink Mercury
into the evening twilight (2007-10-
18). Soon afterwards Mercury reaches the
Inferior Conjunction once again with the
Sun (2007-10-23) completing the cycle
and beginning a new one. (In this example
the total Cycle duration from 2007-06-28
to 2007-10-23 is 113 days or a couple of
days shorter than the average cycle
duration).

To test the correlation between the
115 days cycle of Mercury and the stock
market, once again we choose a
significant market top or bottom counting
forward and backward for 115 calendar
days: in the chart below we centered the
beginning of the 115 days cycle with the
stock market low of March 6, 2009. It
looks like the 115 days Mercury cycle has
a significant impact on the market,
identifying important turning point such as,
among others, the October 2007 top, the
July 2007 low and the September 2008
top.
I would like to emphasize an important
point: there are many cycles affecting the
stock markets, their effect is additive,
which means the cycles of opposite nature
and same amplitude cancel each other
while cycles of same nature and different
amplitude reinforce each others. It is a
wise choice to track more than one cycle
and try to choose cycles that reinforce
each other in order to obtain a cluster of
signals that would make a potential turning
date more important being the results of
different overlapping and self reinforcing
cycles. For example the 86 days cycle of
Sirius is similar for duration to the very
strong and important 91 days sun cycle
(the sun seasonal cycle based on
equinoxes and solstices): the time window
between 86 to 93 days from important
tops of bottoms has high chances to be
correlated with market turning points.
Another example: the 115 days Mercury
cycle is closely related to the 120 days
cycle (which is based on the ancient
Egyptian division of the year into 3
seasons): the time window between 113
and 122 days from important tops of
bottoms has high chances to be correlated
with market turning points. In order to add
some statistical evidence to the above
findings for the most skeptics among our
readers, we have run a computerized
spectral analysis routine to find a
statistical confirmation of the 86 days and
115 days cycles. Using a random 10 years
long sample of Dow Jones Industrial
Index daily closing prices, spectral
analysis (Fourier covariance algorithm
with Bartlett window function) seems to
confirm the existence of such cycles
among others (see chart below).
    The scientific approach of studying
cycles exclusively with statistical and
quantitative instruments is a rigorous way
of working indeed, but it should not be
trusted blindly in our opinion. Spectral
analysis and time series analysis are too
much depended on samples, model
assumptions and other factors, which is
why we think it is advisable to use such
tools only as confirmation instruments,
after all the ancients managed to unlock
the secrets of the cyclical laws of the
universe without computerized models:
our brain sometimes can process
information with more creativity and
flexibility than computers.
              Earth rotation cycle
The Earth’s rotation period around its
own axis is 86,400 seconds or 24 hours.
This period is called mean solar day: it
requires that the Sun returns to the
meridian at the end of the period, the Earth
orbital motion around the Sun at an
average speed of 30 km/s affects the
length of this period since the apparent
position of the sun moves forward during
the rotation period. The sidereal day
(approximately 86,164 seconds or 23h
56m) is shorter than the solar day because
its duration is counted relative to the fixed
stars and is not affected by the Earth
orbital motion around the Sun. We will
focus on the mean solar day of nominal 24
hours to deal with intraday cycles: it
represent the shortest cycle that I consider
precious for a day trader, there are shorter
cycles in nature but I have not found to
date a way to use them for trading
purposes. Previously in chapter 2 we
studied the origin of the 360 degrees scale
and the historical relevance of the
geometric division of the circle through
the inscription of regular polygons: we
will use such notions to learn how to
master the 24 hour cycle for intraday
trading. First of all we need to adjust our
charts to this particular cycle using 4
minutes bars (rather than the commonly
used 5 or 10 minutes bars) because the
earth rotating on its axis in 86,400
seconds completes 1 degree of its circle
in 4 minutes. Also we need to focus on 24
hours and therefore we need to include the
overnight session in our charts. We are
interested in the division of the circle by
the numbers 3 and 4 representing
respectively 120 degrees or 8 hours and
90 degrees or 6 hours and also in the
division of the circle in half operated by
the number 2 which creates periods of 12
hours or angles of 180 degrees.
8 hours interval or 120 degrees of
        Earth rotation
6 hours interval or 90 degrees of
              Earth rotation
A 6 hours period or 90 degrees angle
represents a ratio of 6/24 or ¼ of the
Earth rotation cycle, a 12 hours period or
180 degrees angle represents a ratio of
12/24 or ½ of the Earth rotation cycle, a 8
hours period or 120 degrees angle
represents a ratio of 8/24 or 1/3 of the
Earth rotation cycle, a 24 hours period or
360 degrees angle represents a ratio of
24/24 or a full Earth rotation cycle. The
6/8/12/24 hours intervals create
vibrations in space-time affecting prices
at the extremes of such intervals. You can
find these cycles at work every day, it is
very simple, you just need to get your eyes
trained to do so. Some examples in the
next charts will make it easier to figure
out how these cycles works.

               Equation of time
The Equation of Time represents the
difference between apparent solar time
(time as indicated by a sundial) and mean
solar time (i.e. time as indicated by your
watch) in a given place at the same time.
Such difference is almost zero on average
during a year but apparent time can be
ahead (fast) by as much as 16 min 33 s
(around 3 November), or behind (slow)
by as much as 14 min 6 s (around 12
February). The difference between mean
solar time and apparent solar time is an
effect of the obliquity of the ecliptic and
of the eccentricity of the Earth’s orbit. By
observing the stock market behavior when
the equation of time equals zero or is at
extreme levels during the year, we have
noticed that often the stock market change
trend (at least dhort term) around such
dates as showed in the next chart. This
may not be a terrific trading system but it
helps to understand how astronomical
cycles do affect human behavior.

              Mars orbital speed
So far we have reviewed some short
term cycles that seem to show a
correlation with stock market movements,
these cycles are based most of the times
on the apparent motion of planets and stars
as seen from the Earth: the geocentric
point of view. The geocentric system is
the same utilized in the Bible to describe
the apparent motion of the heavenly
bodies. This time we are going to use the
heliocentric movement of Mars rather than
its geocentic one. Mars daily heliocentric
speed shows a perfect harmonic behavior
to the important ratio of /6: Mars takes
an average 0.524 day period to complete
one degree of its orbit around the Sun.
We should remember from the exegesis of
Genesis 6 (see Chapter 1) that the Noah’s
pyramidal ark geometry incorporated the
important / 6 ratio or 0.5238 (where
=22/7) in its design. There seems to be a
correlation between the “ / 6 speed” of
Mars and the stock market movements.
The charts in the next page show
trendlines connecting important tops and
bottoms of the S&P 500 index, they are
drawn “ex ante” with a fixed slope of
0.524 points per day (lower chart) and
with a variable slope reflecting the real
variable speed of Mars (top chart) around
its average value of 0.524 days per degree
(in the stock market example 0.524 day
per point). The results are surprising: the
Mars “speed lines” are real effective
trendlines providing the stock market with
significant dynamic supports and
resistances “ex ante”.

            CHAPTER 4
         Trading with intraday
           planetary lines
In the last example of the previous
chapter we have briefly mentioned the
concept of “planetary speed lines” that
can be drawn in stock market charts as if
they were common trendlines: we will try
to explain the theory and the methodology
behind the idea of converting the points of
an index or the ticks of a bond or the
dollars of a stock price into a quantity that
can be correlated with the movements of
planets and stars. In chapter 2 we have
introduced the concept of space being
equal to time as far as the ancient
measuring system was concerned: we will
see now how to apply this concept to
intraday trading using astronomical cycles
and intraday planetary lines. The
astronomical cycles we are referring to
are the orbital periods of the planets of the
solar system and the orbital period of the
moon as well. We will be using
geocentric ecliptical longitudes calculated
for observers in New York City (or in the
trading place we are dealing in): these
longitudinal data can be obtained from
common ephemerides or from computer
programs designed for the task. We will
also make use of harmonics of such
longitudes based on the most important
division of the circle. The concept is quite
complicated and needs to be learnt
gradually, for this reason we will explain
it step by step by way of examples and
comments.
    1-Create a database of geocentric
ecliptical longitudinal values for the
planets you want to analyze and for the
time frame you are working with. In the
table below for example we use hourly
values of Mercury, Venus and Mars
geocentric longitudinal position for
observers located in New York.
Geocentric Ecliptical Hourly
   Longitude Table
    2-Create a database of higher
harmonics of the geocentric ecliptical
longitudinal values for the planets you
want to analyze and for the time frame you
are working with. In the table below for
example we use hourly values of Mercury,
Venus and Mars longitudinal position. For
the first harmonic (table H1 below) we
add 360 degrees to the original
longitudinal value, for the second
harmonic we add 2 times 360 degrees and
so on (see tables below).
First Harmonic Longitude
Second Harmonic Longitude
          Third Harmonic Longitude
    Caculating these harmonic values is
the way we use to convert planetary
longitudinal degrees into quantities that
have a scale closer to the price scale of
the financial instruments we are dealing
with. The idea behind this methodology is
that a planetary longitude of 345 will have
a “sound” similar to that of a planetary
longitude of 360+345 :this is a concept
similar to the theory behind the musical
octaves, another piece of theory that our
readers may want to study in its basic
form to better understand the examples
found in this book concerning the theory of
harmony.
3-Now we can draw these harmonic
values as overlay on our chart: in the
example below we have drawn the ES
future contract with the third harmonic
values of the geocentric longitudes of
Mars, Mercury and Venus as overlays. By
so doing we can “see” in the chart
“where a planet is” in time and space on a
financial chart with time on the x-axis and
price on the y-axis.
          ES future hourly chart with
  Mercury, Venus and Mars longitudes
       expressed as planetary prices
It is like drawing a graphical map of
the planetary position in the sky with the
equivalent value in index points (a
planetary price). If we repeat the same
procedure for the other planets we get a
full picture of the sky expressed in
planetary prices as in the next chart.
ES future hourly chart with all the
    planets and the moon.
4-Now we need to take the database
of all the geocentric ecliptical longitudinal
values and their harmonics and create new
lines equally spaced (15 points apart from
the original lines). By so doing we have
divided the planetary cycles in 24 uniform
sub cycles applying the theory we learnt in
chapter 2 about the division of the circle.
An example of the visual result of such
procedure can be seen in the next chart.
ES future hourly chart with all the
planets the moon and their harmonic sub
                  cycles.
The analogy with the theory of music
can be highlighted once again here: by
drawing lines equally spaced between
each other dividing the circle of the
ecliptic in 24 sectors we have made the
same operation that is performed when a
musical scale is divided into notes
accordingly to specific intervals.
Zoom in: detail of ES future hourly
chart with all the planets the moon and
          the harmonic sub cycles.
Basically we have obtained within a
unique simple chart the visual
representation of the very complex
concept of musical harmony and of the
very complex concept of space = time:
when the SPX price touches one of the
planetary lines, it is in harmonic relation
to that particular planet both in time (at the
moment when the price touches the
planetary line) and in space (at the
level/price where the contact takes place).
When the SPX touches/crosses two or
more lines at the same time it creates a
harmonic geometrical configuration with
more heavenly bodies. Why is all this so
important? Because these harmonic
configurations between prices and the
planets usually are the catalyst for change
or acceleration of trends because of a
phenomenon similar to resonance. All this
will be easier to be understood once again
with some practical trading examples,
charts and comments.
It is worth mentioning that the pioneer
of such an original and innovative
approach to trading was Mr. WD Gann
who, in the first half of the last century,
developed and utilized a complex wheel
that he called “master 360 chart” to track
the planets and market moments at the
same time by converting prices into 360
degrees and vice versa.
Example of WD Gann wheel of 360
Next we will try to examine the use of
the planetary lines as intraday trading tool
examining few examples with some
charts.
                 Example 1
    On December 1 2009 at 13.24 GMT
the Moon transited 150 degrees away
from Pluto: the Moon line crossed the
Pluto line at 1112.50 and the ES future
traded at 1112.50 right at that time (follow
the arrow and the circle in the chart)
triggering an harmonic “resonance” that
produced a short term reversal of trend.
                  Example 2
    On November 27 2009 at 02:08 the
Moon transited 90 degrees away from
Pluto and at 02:20 180 degrees away from
Saturn when it also crossed the Mercury
line: this harmonic configuration kicked
off with the ES bottoming at 1067 and
resonated later in the day at 1083 acting as
a resistance and once again by midday at
1098 at the top of the day. The most
significant trading levels of the day were
those resonating to the initial geometric
configuration in the sky that was touched
when the ES bottomed.
                 Example 3
    On October 16 2009 at 01:55 the
Moon conjoined Saturn at 1093.5 and the
ES futures traded right there right at the
moment of the planetary aspect, the
resulting “resonance” stopped the uptrend
of the index which started to trade lower
and bottomed right on the next Saturn
harmonic level below at 1078.
                  Example 4
In the month of November 2009 the ES
future contract traded inside a rising
channel 30 points wide whose top, mid
and bottom trendlines were the Moon
planetary harmonic lines. In this case the
Moon levels acted as key supports and
resistances for a month-long rising trend.
    The effectiveness of these planetary
trendlines as support and resistance levels
should be clearer after these examples;
once again we have shown how planetary
cycles seem to be correlated to the human
affairs. The main difficulty of using this
techniques for trading is related to the
existence of many planetary cycles and
many harmonic levels, so it is impossible
to know ex ante which one will “resonate”
with the market producing top or bottoms,
however, a trained eye, can workout
important information by using this tool
that can be of great help, among other
instruments, in timing the market.
          CHAPTER 5
      Wall Street Numerology
    The Buttonwood Agreement, which
took place on May 17, 1792 started the
New York Stock & Exchange Board
(better known as New York Stock
Exchange, NYSE).
              The Button Wood
This agreement was signed by twenty-
four stock brokers outside of 68 Wall
Street New York under a buttonwood tree
at midday with the Sun conjunct to the
Pleiades' chief star Alcyone culminating
in the sky of New York. There is a hidden
symbolism behind the choice of this
particular place and date for founding the
NYSE and its has to do with
Freemasonry: the Button Wood is a
sycamore tree, such tree was revered by
the ancient Egyptians as a celestial form
of Nut, the sky goddess. As far as the
timing of the Buttonwood Agreement is
concerned we think that it was not chosen
randomly: it could have something to do
with the role played by the Pleiades in the
Freemasons’ pagan religio/ideology. The
Pleiades are in the constellation of
Taurus/ the Bull (the brokers’ slang
definition of “bull market” for a rising
market may find there its origin):
astrologically Taurus is the constellation
associated with material possessions,
ownership, and money. One of the
Pleiades was a wife of Ares, the Greek
Mars. The number of brokers signing the
Buttonwood Agreement was twenty-four
like the number of hours in a solar day and
the Hebrew gematria for NYSE is 365
which equals the Egyptian Sothic year.
These numerological references are not
there by chance: among the founders of
NYSE there were Masons and the timing
of the Button Wood agreement was
carefully chosen.

    Historically the Taurus/Bull
iconography has played a central role in
pagan religious and the Biblical episode
of the “molted calf” reminds us of the
idolatry idea associated with this symbol.
Exo 32:4 And he received them at
their hand, and fashioned it with a
graving tool, after he had made it a
molten calf: and they said, These be thy
gods, O Israel, which brought thee up
out of the land of Egypt.
     “The molten caf” Cosimo Rosselli
                    1481
We believe to have found a long term
time cycle that seems to create harmonic
resonance with the movements of the
NYSE that may well be connect with the
pagan origin of its founding: the discovery
was made by studying the time intervals
between some of the most important tops
and crisis in the history of Wall Street:
à 1929 Market top and panic: it
happened 136 years after the foundation of
the NYSE. In base 60 the 136t h year can
be thought similar to two hours and
sixteen minutes 2:16: the number 216
equals or 6x6x6 in the decimal scale.
à 2008 Market top and panic: it
happened 216 years (or 6x6x6 years) after
the foundation of the NYSE.
If we examine the duration of the last
Wall Street Panic of 2008 we will find
interestingly that from the top of October
11, 2007 to the bottom of March 9, 2009
passed 515 days or 0.66*780 or two
thirds of the Mars synodic period. We
will examine in the next chapter how Mars
is associated with the concept of “evil”
and “sin” in all the ancient cultures.
There is even more: if we examine the
extreme price levels (top price and bottom
price) of the last Wall Street Panic of
2008 (we use the most important index
tracking the movements of the US stock
market: S&P500 index) we will find
interestingly that they show the same
signature: the bottom was 666 while the
top was 1576 or 26:16’ in base 60 where
26:16’ equals 1 day 2 hours and 16
minutes (the number 216 or 6x6x6 again
reappearing in another shape/scale).

It looks like the NYSE periodically
experiences a panic which is
numerologically tied to the number 6x6x6
and from time to time displays rise and
fall patters reflecting the movements of
Mars (symbol of evil) in space and time.
What does all this mean? The stock
exchange is not evil by itself but it can be
thought as a symbol of greed, it’s the
virtual place where man devotes himself
to the god of money loosing his
“humanity” while looking for profits at all
costs in an arena where only “the fittest”
survive.
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy
or sell, save he that had the mark, or the

           CHAPTER 6
                   Mars
The Greeks used a circle with an
arrow positioned diagonally upwards as
symbol for Mars the red planet of the
solar system.
The arrow in the symbol of Mars
symbolizes a spear or a sword, both
elements of the traditional iconography of
Mars. In Greece Mars was associated
with Ares, the Greek god of War and
Pestilence, as well as in many other
ancient cultures. The cult of Mars was
imported in Greece form Scythia where
Mars was worshipped in the form of a
sword, to which not only horses and other
cattle, but men also were sacrificed.
Spears and sword were made of iron
which soon inherited and shared the
symbol for Mars. In ancient Mesopotamia
the planet Mars was associated with the
d e mo n/ go d Nergal, lord of the
Underworld and symbol of war and terror.
The same symbol used for Mars and Iron
is also used to indicate Man.
Mars' Sword in a sculpture at the
                  Louvre
    We have found numerous gematria
references in the Bible associating the
planet Mars with negative concepts such
as “sin”, “violence”, “pestilence”: we
believe that this kind of symbolism was
not originally present in the Bible but that
it is the result of some kind of editing
process that probably took place during
the period of the Babylonian exile under
the cultural influence of the Mesopotamian
traditions. The same thing can probably be
said for the use of Gematria: we believe
that the practice of associating symbolic
meanings to the words’ alphanumeric
value is the result of similar cultural
influences of that period. The easy
assimilation of the negative reputation of
the planet Mars in the Hebrew culture was
the result of external circumstances that
favored the spreading of such tradition
inside Israel:
    -Mars was worshipped by the
Phoenicians in the form of the god
Baal-Melkart of Tyrus, a cult that was
temporarly imported in Israel and created
one of the most severe religious struggles
in the history of Israel when king Ahab
and his wife the Phoenician princess
Jezebel allowed the worship of Baal.
-Mars was the mythological father of
the founder of the much hated Roman
Empire that destroyed the Second temple.
In Hebrew the planet Mars was and it
is still called (Meadim) a word
sharing the same etymological root with
Esau/Edom the red, brother and enemy of
Jacob/Israel. Looking further into the
Hebrew etymology of Meadim/Mars we
can see how it shares the same root of
other important words through which
some interesting symbolical associations
can be made:
     Hebrew

                    DAM BLOO

                   ADAM ADAM
                  ADAMAH GROUN
                   ADOM RED
Red is the color of blood (through
hemoglobin which is a iron-containing
biomolecule) and this color is routed also
into the name “Adam” as well as in the
name “Mars”: the Hebrew call Mars as
(Meadim) a word which is deeply
permeated by the color red like the planet
Mars itself which looks red because of its
oxidized iron rich surface. Red is the
color of war and violence as much as
killing is associated with blood. Adam,
Man, Meadim and blood: each of these
words has in common the meaning of
"red”; dam is the "red" blood, adamah is
the "red" ground, Adam is the "red" man,
Meadim is the “red” planet. There are
some other words that expose the “evil”
reputation of Mars in the Hebrew culture:
     Hebrew Transliteration Transl

                                     RED

                                  EARTH
                  ADAMDAM REDD
    The Hebrew word (adamdam)
is used only 6 times in 6 verses of the
Bible, it means “reddish” and it is used in
chapter 13 (a number associated with sin)
of the Book of Leviticus in describing the
color of the spots of leprosy. The ancient
Jews looked upon leprosy as a peculiar
disease sent to man by God. It was
recognized as a mark of the displeasure of
God for some great sin committed and it
was considered a dreadful moral disease.
In the Septuagint the word “leprosy” in
Greek is λεπρα (lebra) whose gematria
value is 216 (an evil number being
equivalent to 6x6x6). In Greece, the planet
Mars was identified with Ares ( Ἄρης
probably from ἀρή, the Ionic form of the
Doric ἀρά meaning “curse, imprecation")
the god of war and pestilence. The
Hebrew word (Admah) indicates
one of the five ancient city in the
SiddimValley along with Sodom and
Gomorrah: all destroyed by God for their
sins (Genesis 19).
If we looked for a Greek homophone
of the Hebrew “adamah” we would
find out that the word ἀδαμάς means
“hard iron”, we have already shown how
the chemical element iron shares the same
symbol of Man and Mars, but there is
more, we know that oxidized iron have the
same color of Adam, Mars and human
blood (which contains iron) and we also
know that the molecular shape of Iron,
whose atomic number is 26, is a cube.
       Molecular structure of iron
   Mars perigee (Mars closest approach
to Earth) is an astronomical event with a
26 months cycle.
    The name Mars/Meadim is never
directly mentioned in the Bible but it can
be found by way of gematria reference
almost every time the Bible speak of the
devil, probably the most explicit example
of this concept can be found in the Book of
Revelations:
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was
cast out, that old serpent, called the
Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the
whole world: he was cast out into the
earth, and his angels were cast out with
him.
The word used in the LXX for serpent
is the Greek word οφις whose gematria
value is a direct link to Mars being equal
to exactly 780 or the number of days in the
synodic period of Mars.
     Serpent=    = Mars:
        780 gematria
    Elsewhere the association between
Mars and Evil is less explicit but still
traceable once the code is understood:
And the son of an Israelitish woman,
whose father was an Egyptian went out
among the children of Israel and this son
of the Israelitish woman and a man of
Israel strove together in the camp; And
the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed
the name of the LORD, and cursed. And
they brought him unto Moses: (and his
mother's name was Shelomith, the
daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)
Lev 24:10-11
    Shelomith, (whose gematria value is
780 and equals the Mars Synodic period)
is daughter of Dibri (whose gematria
value is 216 or 6x6x6 the devil’s number).

And thou shalt speak unto the
children of Israel, saying, Whosoever
curseth his God shall bear his sin. And
he that blasphemeth the name of the
LORD, he shall surely be put to death,
and all the congregation shall certainly
stone him: as well the stranger, as he
that is born in the land, when he
blasphemeth the name of the LORD,
shall be put to death. Lev 24:15-16
The gematria value of Lev 24:15 plus
the gematria value of Lev 24:16 equals
6263 (2772+3491) which is exactly the
same number of days in 8 synodic periods
of Mars.
    After the “Shelomith discovery” (i.e.
Shelomith gematria value 780 being
equal to the Mars Synodic period) we
also discovered that in the Bible there is a
similar word sharing and hiding the same
meaning. The Hebrew word for thirty and
thirtieth is “shelowshiym” whose
gematria number is 686 (the orbital period
of Mars).

                 noun
The word “shelowshiym” is used 13
times in the Book of Numbers chapter 7.
The Numerological meaning of the number
13 is linked to suffering and death. For the
cabalist, the number 13 is the meaning of
the Snake, the dragon, Satan and the
murderer. The thirteenth chapter of the
Revelation is reserved to the Antichrist
and to the Beast. In 13th psalm, it is
written: "The fool has said in his heart,
there is no God". In chapter thirteen of the
Gospel of Saint John, during the Last
supper Jesus declares that one of the
disciples will betray him. And in the same
chapter after the announcement of the
treason of Judas, Jesus prophesies the
Peter's denial.
    à Shelomith ( ) with

period) àassociated with blasphemy
    à Shelowshiym ( ) with
gematria 686 equals to Mars orbital
period) àassociated with treason
But there is more: the Hebrew word
Shelowshiym is used thirteen times in
Numbers 7: one time for each of twelve
days’ offerings of a one silver charger
weighing of an hundred and thirty shekels,
(12x130=1560 or twice the Mars sinodyc
period) and one time in a separated list of
the total offerings.
We may also remember that Adam
became father when he was 130 years old:
Gen 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred
and thirty (shelowshiym) years and begat
a son in his own likeness, after his
image; and called his name Seth:
and we may also remember that Adam
died when he was 930 years old.
Gen 5:5 And all the days that Adam
lived were nine hundred and thirty
(shelowshiym ) years: and he died.
One sixth of Mars synodical period is
exactly 130 days, remember what we have
been saying in chapter 2 about the hexagon
and about /6 in relation to Mars. The fact
that the biblical name Adam in Hebrew
shares the same symbol and etymological
link of the planet Mars/Meadim lead us to
make an important discovery related to the
genealogy of Adam of Genesis 5 which
may prove that the knowledge of the
heliocentric nature of our planetary system
was well known to the writer of Genesis.
The fact that the Bible uses a
geocentric point of view mislead most of
the scholars and readers (if not all of
them) to assume that the ancients did not
know that the Earth orbits the Sun along
with the other planets of the solar system.
We believe the ancients knew very well
the real structure of our solar system and
that “echoes” of such knowledge can still
be found in the Bible. We will try to
prove this point by examining some key
passages of the Bible that in our opinion
will undoubtedly reveal such knowledge:
we will focus in particularly to the
genealogy of the antediluvian patriarchs as
described by chapter five of the book of
Genesis.
And Adam lived an hundred and
thirty years, and begat a son in his own
likeness, after his image; and called his
name Seth: And the days of Adam after
he had begotten Seth were eight hundred
years: and he begat sons and daughters:
And all the days that Adam lived were
nine hundred and thirty years: and he
died. And Seth lived an hundred and five
years, and begat Enos: And Seth lived
after he begat Enos eight hundred and
seven years, and begat sons and
daughters: And all the days of Seth were
nine hundred and twelve years: and he
died. And Enos lived ninety years, and
begat Cainan: And Enos lived after he
begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen
years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Enos were nine
hundred and five years: and he died. And
Cainan lived seventy years, and begat
Mahalaleel: And Cainan lived after he
b e g a t Mahalaleel eight hundred and
forty years, and begat sons and
daughters: And all the days of Cainan
were nine hundred and ten years: and
he died. And Mahalaleel lived sixty and
five years, and begat Jared: And
Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared
eight hundred and thirty years, and
begat sons and daughters: And all the
days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred
ninety and five years: and he died. And
Jared lived an hundred sixty and two
years, and he begat Enoch: And Jared
lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred
years, and begat sons and daughters:
And all the days of Jared were nine
hundred sixty and two years: and he
died. And Enoch lived sixty and five
years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch
walked with God after he begat
Methuselah three hundred years, and
begat sons and daughters: And all the
days of Enoch were three hundred sixty
and five years: And Enoch walked with
God: and he was not; for God took him.
And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty
and seven years, and begat Lamech: And
Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech
seven hundred eighty and two years, and
begat sons and daughters: And all the
days of Methuselah were nine hundred
sixty and nine years: and he died. And
Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two
years, and begat a son: And he called his
name Noah, saying, This same shall
comfort us concerning our work and toil
of our hands, because of the ground
which the LORD hath cursed. And
Lamech lived after he begat Noah five
hundred ninety and five years, and begat
sons and daughters: And all the days of
Lamech were seven hundred seventy and
seven years: and he died. And Noah
was five hundred years old: and Noah
begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
From Genesis 9.29 we learn that Noah
lived nine hundred and fifty years : “And
all the days of Noah were nine hundred
and fifty years: and he died.”
Now we have all the relevant data to
build a Genealogy table of the first ten
antediluvian patriarchs:
We will focus on the totals of the
above table: number 8575, number 1556
and number 7019: applying the principle
enounced in Num 14:34 to these numbers
(counting them as if they were days) we
will try to show that 8575 days, 1556 days
and 7019 days are specific values that
have been chosen carefully by the authors
of the biblical genealogy of Adam and we
will show that the ancients’ knowledge of
the heliocentric nature of the solar system
is probably hidden behind those values.
    N u m 14:34 According to the
number of the days in which you spied
out the land, forty days, for each day you
shall bear your guilt one year, [namely]
forty years, and you shall know My
rejection.
The Fall depicted in the Sistine
                 Chapel
The period of 8575 days equals
exactly eleven synodic periods of Mars
(with a 99.9% accuracy rate using the
modern average figure for the synodic
period of Mars) and the period 1556 days
equals exactly two synodic periods of
Mars (with a 99.9% accuracy rate using
the modern average figure for the synodic
period of Mars). The numerological
meaning of 11 is associated to the idea of
transgression of the law because it
exceeds of one unit number ten, which is
the number of the Ten Commandments,
symbol of law and order. The psalm 11
(Vulgate numbering) is about the
punishment of the wicked. This symbolism
is particularly accurate to describe the
role of Adam in the Genesis as the author
of the original sin. To date, to our
knowledge, nobody has ever offered a
similar interpretation of Genesis 5 but
there is much more: Mars is the fifth
planet (counting heliocentrically from the
Sun and including the Moon) and its
synodic period is described right in
chapter 5 of Genesis. Could the authors of
Genesis 5 know that the Sun was at the
centre of the solar system and that Mars
was the fifth planet? We think they knew it
(at least 3500 years before Copernicus):
chapter 5 of Genesis contains also the
description of the orbital period of Mars
as we will show soon. If we sum the
entire life of the Patriarchs from Adam to
Jared we obtain 5514 which equals in
days to exactly 8 average orbital periods
of Mars (with a 99.7% accuracy using the
modern average figure for its sidereal
period). The number eight in numerology
expresses the concept of perfection and
infinity (in mathematics the symbol of the
infinity is represented by an 8 laid down):
the number 8 of perfection here is
associated with the orbital period of Mars
while the number 11 representing
imperfection is associated with the
synodical period of Mars.
Why are we counting the Patriarchs
till Jared excluding the others? Enoch’s
life of “365 days” reminds us of the
tropical year as we usually associate this
number to the apparent motion of the sun
along the ecliptic; it looks like the authors
wanted to provide us with a clue: stop to
count at Enoch (representing the Sun) if
you want to find the orbital period (the
time a planet needs to orbit the sun) rather
than the synodic period. From our analysis
we found hidden in Genesis 5 the synodic
period of Mars (actually eleven periods, a
number symbol of sin and imperfection a
number also associated to Adam) and we
also found hidden in Genesis 5 the orbital
period of Mars (actually eigth periods, a
number symbol of perfection) associated
with Enoch, the only right one among the
wicked generations before Noah,
suggesting that the ancient writers of
Genesis knew that Mars orbits the sun
while its synodic period is only a
geocentric apparent motion.
The Holy Bible is not an astronomy
text, it is the revelation of God’s Law. All
the astronomical and gematria reference
that we found could be the result of editing
of the original text during the Babylonian
exile: sure an exegetical problem worth of
further attention by scholars more
equipped than us for such a difficult study.

             APPENDIX
    MARTIAN CALENDAR: ORIGIN
     OF SACRED CALENDARS
    The ancients, in many different
cultures and parts of the world, used two
different calendars: a civil calendar and a
sacred calendar. The civil calendar was
intended to keep track of the sun path
along the ecliptic or of the moon path or
both (lunisolar calendar): different
intercalary systems were developed to
keep the civil calendar of 365 days or 364
or 354 days aligned with the seasons,
equinoxes. The sacred calendars on the
contrary did not use intercalary systems
and aligned with the civil calendar only
on longer time frames within longer term
counts or cycles. We believe that the civil
calendars were employed only for
practical purposes (planting and
harvesting at the proper tropical seasons)
and that the sacred calendars hold the key
to understand the origins of the division of
time employed by the ancients. We suggest
that the 260 days sacred calendar of the
Maya and the 360 days sacred calendar of
the Bible are both based on the Martian
synodical cycle.
First we need to examine the division
(“months”) adopted by the Mayan
calendar and by the Biblical calendar:
Biblical division of the sacred year:
360=12x30
Mayan division of the sacred year:
260=13x20 Tzolk'in
We can now observe how the 780
da ys synodical period of Mars can be
divided using the same factors:
    780=13x60=780=26*30=13x2x30=780
The Maya also used another time
interval called “Tun” with the same length
of the Biblical one:
    360=18x20 Tun
We have noticed how the division
factors of the Mayan and Biblical
calendars can be both “tuned” to the
Martian synodic period; therefore it is
possible to imagine a cycle synchronizing
the two calendars with the Martian
synodic period:
          360x13=780*6=260*18
     Accordingly to this cycle, every
thirteen biblical years and every eighteen
Mayan Tzolkin Mars will complete six
synodical periods and it will be Morning
star on the same day in both calendars!
The Mars table from the Dresden
                  Codex
From the last chapter of this book we
remind briefly here the “Shelomith
discovery”:
   à Shelomith ( ) with
gematria 780 equals to Mars synodical
period) àassociated with blasphemy
    à Shelowshiym ( ) with
gematria 686 equals to Mars orbital
period
The word “shelowshiym” is used 13
times in the Bible Book of Numbers
chapter 7. The numerological meaning of
the number 13 is linked to suffering and
death. For the cabalist, the number 13 is
the Snake, the dragon, Satan and the
murderer. For the Maya the number 13
was sacred and their “long Count” was
based on 13 Baktun periods. Now we
need to read carefully the following verse:
Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that
hath understanding count the
number of the beast: for it is
the number of a man; and his
number is Six hundred
threescore and six.
Revelation 13:18
    Revelation 13:18 is the verse
revealing the mark of the beast: 666. The
number 13 (number of the chapter and
number of Satan) when multiplied by 18
(number of the verse and number of Satan
6+6+6) equals to the number 234. If we
compare the number 234 with the synodic
period of Mars we can observe that:
    13x18=234
    780/234=3.33333
    (780*2)/234=6.6666
If we sum 234 with its “mirror”
number (the same number read from right
to left) we get 666.
    234+432=666
    Another witness to our discovery:
Dan 9:26 And after threescore and
two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but
not for himself: and the people of the
prince that shall come shall destroy the
city and the sanctuary; and the end
thereof shall be with a flood, and unto
the end of the war desolations are
determined.
    9x26=234=18x13
If we follow Thirteen times Eighteen
(or 6+6+6) in the Bible we still arrive
here:
    360x13=780*6=260*18
    Now another simple equation:
    360x13=780*6
    (12x30)x13=(26*30)*6
    (12x30)x13x2=(26*30)*6x2
    (12x30)x26=(26*30)*12
    12x30x26=26*30*12
    Every 26 biblical year Mars
completes 12 synodic periods and is
morning star on the same day: with this
cycle the Mars period and the Biblical
calendar are divided with the same
factors.
    Another “witness”:
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah,
The end of all flesh is come before me;
for the earth is filled with violence
through them; and, behold, I will destroy
them with the earth.
    6*13=78= Average numbers of days
during Mars retrograde period and basic
unit of the Mars table in the Dresden
Codex.
There are more “witnesses” but we
will only show two more:
Eze 4:5 For I have laid upon
thee the years of their iniquity,
according to the number of the days,
three hundred and ninety days : so shalt
thou bear the iniquity of the house of
Israel.
    13x30=390=780/2=260*3/2
Lev 13:18 The flesh also, in which,
even in the skin thereof, was a boil, and
is healed,
Leviticus is the third book of the
Bible, in this case we can therefore use
the following equation 3x13x18=702days
or the number of days of Mars direct
motion in one synodic cycle. The gematria
value of Lev13:18 is 1559 or two times
the number of days in the synodic cycle of
mars with 9.999% accuracy.
When the Hebrew started to use a
lunisolar calendar based on the Metonic
cycle, the use and origin of the 360 days
calendar may have been lost. We think that
the 360 days calendar used in the Bible
before the flood was based on the cycles
of Mars as well as the Mayan calendar. It
should not be a surprise that the Maya
Long Count of 1,876,000 days (Kins) is an
exact multiple of the Mars synodic period:
Mars is Morning Star exactly 2400 times
within the Maya Long Count and this time
frame also equals exactly a 5200 Biblical
years interval.
The pre-flood period is described by
the Bible as an the age of wickedness
when the Earth was filled with violence
and men were corrupted and idolatrous, it
may be suggested that those wicked
generations worshipped Mars and used a
calendar based on the numbers 13 and 18
that was based on the observation of Mars
as morning star, such calendar needed not
to catch up with the Earth seasons being
not aligned to the equinoxes, its main
function was to track the movement of
Mars as seen from Earth. Migration to
Central America in Pre-Columbian times
may explain the adoption of such calendar
by the Olmecs.

We believe that the scholars’ “Venus-
bias” when dealing with the study of the
Mesoamerican Pre-Columbian
civilizations may have something to do
with the fact that so far nobody as
suggested a theory such as the one we
have presented here on the origin of these
ancient calendrical systems. An example
of the “Venus-bias” is the relative lack of
literature about the Mars table of the
Dresden Codex: a table dealing with the
movements of Mars and often dismissed
as an oddity. We cannot really believe
how no scholar has so far suggested a link
of the Mars table with the Enochian 364-
day calendar since this quantity can be
found both in the Book of Enoch and in the
Dresden Codex. It is usually said that
among all the Mayan codices there is
“only” the Mars table of the “Dresden
Codex” dealing with Mars, but we must
also remember that there are only an
handful of codices left after the burning of
the Mayan books by the “conquistadores”
and that almost all the written documents
of the Mayan culture are lost forever. We
think that more evidence about the role of
Mars in the Mesoamerican religion system
can be found studying the Olmec tradition,
from which later Mesoamerican cultures
such as the Mayan onedeveloped. Most of
the Olmec tradition was lost with their
mysterious fall/decline and the following
cultures that developed later were left
only with partial traces of the original
cultural matrix. Probably the Mars cult
was one of these ancient traditions only
partially absorbedand adopted by the
Maya.

              Dresden Codex
By far, the best example of how the
Olmec used to track the movements of
Mars can be found in the Pre-Columbian
stela “L a Moyarra”. The following
astronomical interpretation and reading of
such stela has never been proposed before
as far as we know. La Mojarra Stela was
discovered near the village of La Mojarra
in 1986 in the Mexican state of Veracruz:
it was inscribed with 465 glyphs arranged
in 21 columns. The writing on it is
commonly called by scholars as
Epic-Olmec (a writing system different
from the other Mesoamerican systems
such as the Maya, Zapotec or Aztec). As
far as the decipherment of the text was
concerned, in 1993 two researchers (John
Justeson and Terrence Kaufman)
published a paper in the journey Science
describing the partial decipherment that
they have arrived using a primitive form
of a small language family called Mixe-
Zoquean as guide. The main assumption of
these researchers was that the Olmec
spoke a Mixe-Zoquean language and that
they transmitted their rituals to the people
who subsequently inhabited the same
geographical area. The Justeson/Kaufman
decipherment was disputed for example
by researchers such as Stephen Houston
and Michael Coe. A consensus among
scholars has not been found yet. I will
assume that their work is valid and I will
use their translation of the text (Justeson,
John S., and Terence Kaufman (2001)
“Epi-Olmec Hieroglyphic Writing and
Texts”). Although the writings system of
the stela was different than the Mayan, it
used the “Long Count” (this calendric
system was originally developed by the
Olmec culture and inherited by the Maya)
so that the dating of the events described
was easier.

   warrior-king called with the epithet
 "HarvesterMountain Lord". 2nd century
                   CE
The text of the Stele consists of 34
glyphs, most of which appear on the front
of the monument in a 21-column text
carved above the figure of a warrior-king.
The main frontal text includes two long-
count dates equivalent to May 1, 143 A.D.
and June 23, 156 A.D. (these dates are
timed by astronomical observation as we
will examine later). This text tells the
story of a warrior's rise to kingship
through the suppression of a rebellion or
an insurrection by an usurper (probably
his brother in law) who was imprisoned
and later probably sacrificed on the
occasion of the king’s ascension
cerimony. The warrior-king is called by
Kaufman-Justenson as the “Harvester
Mountain Lord", this epithet may have to
do with the "harvest" of the land with
respect to some crop or, more likely, with
bloody human sacrifices and slaughter of
the enemies (Human sacrifices were a
common practice in many Mesoamerican
pre-Columbian-cultures). The “Harvester
Mountain Lord" rose to kingship on the
exact day of the heliacal rising of Mars in
La Mojarra wearing a falcon/hawk mask
(something that reminds us of the Egyptian
falcon god Horus which was identified
with Mars and was associated to the
ascension of the Pharaohs). Using the
Long Count dates appearing on the stele
and the translation of Justeson/Kaufman
we know that the rebellion took place on
May 1st of 143 AD, a Solar eclipse Day
with Mars culminating right at the time of
the Eclipse on that morning on the La
Mojarra horizon (the association of Mars
with a Solar Eclipse and the appearance
of an usurpator is a also theme that can be
found in Late Babylonian Omens) and
with Venus invisible below the horizon.
The execution of the traitor took place
thirteen years later after a long
imprisonment on the day of the ascension
ceremony of the “Harvester Mountain
Lord” being September 19th 157 AD or
exactly the day of the appearance of Mars
as Morning Star (first day of visibility) on
t h e L a Mojarra horizon with Venus
culminating at the same time. Clearly the
timing of these events is not random, it is
associated and correlated with the
position of Mars in the sky. Traditional
scholars are too much focused on the role
of Venus on the Mesoamerican cultures
and they have incredibly failed to spot or
simply dismissed the key role played by
Mars in this event as described by the
stele. It should not be forgot that the
warrior king ascension is celebrated with
the king wearing a falcon mask/custom, a
clear iconographic reference to Mars
using the Egyptian Horus analogy.

    La Mojarra Mexico, horizon: Sun
and Moon rising on September 19, 157
           AD at 6:00 am
The L a Mojarra Stele proves that a
Mesoamerican Pre-Columbian Culture
that preceded the Maya culture by many
centuries has similar cults, beliefs and
iconography as the ancient Egyptian
concerning Mars and its identification
with the King as Warrior-God/King. A
detailed exposition of the Horus-Mars
associaton can be found in the book
“Martian Metamorphoses” by Ev
Cochrane (see bibliography). Another
important characteristic of all the cults of
Mars as a warrior-god is the human
sacrifice: this practice that could be found
in Phoenicia, in almost all Meso-America
and in Egypt as well (hundred of people
have been found buried alongside the
Horus-Pharaohs in the tombs of the first
dynasty). The text of the La Mojarra Stela
contains some references to the practice of
“bloodletting” accordingly to the
Justeson/Kaufman translation and some
other version are more explicit linking the
King ascension ceremony with a human
sacrifice ritual. Even the most skeptical
readers must admit that the analogies
found in so many different cultures are
impressing and the case of a common
cultural source must be accepted or at
least taken seriously into consideration.
