ABSTRACT
Field attachment program enhances the trainee to put knowledge taught
in class into practice to promote skills for proper management in the farm.
The program was conducted for a period of two month, during the
attachment, I acquired useful skills and knowledge through practical
experience such a vaccination program, docking, health management
practices, writing permit forms, meat inspection, dehorning, small
surgeries, record keeping, A.I application and many others. During the
period, challenges faced include; inadequate working tools and
equipment, weather such as high rainfall interrupted working schedule
and activities and lastly working long hours. I recommended that the
working hours for attaches reduced from 10 to 8 hours, in addition, the
farm management to provide enough working tools which was accepted
and managed appropriately by the management
