Lesson Plan for Meeting with Native Teacher
Note: All the contents have been taught before. Almost all
Date: Friday, 15/8/2025 students have mastered them. Meeting with Foreign Teacher is

1 Greeting & Conversation -T greets SS, interacts with SS as in the conversation, and tries

name’s… sentences as in the conversation, asking students about the

I’m fine, thank you. Students will response the content in the flash card. Then, T say
10- -How old are you? again the sentence in the cards, ask SS repeat after T.
15m I’m (4,5,6,7,…) years -T asks all students stand up and stay in the two lines, face-to-

*Note: there are only 5 or 6 pairs.
-T asks SS to come back their seats and it down. Change to the
next activity.
2 Family Family, grandma, -T shows the flash cards (or PowerPoint slides), one-by-one,
grandpa, Mum, Dad, asking “Who’s that?”. Students will response the content in the
(Father/Mother), flash card (slide). Then, T say again the words in the cards, ask
5- brother, sister, baby SS repeat after T.
10m * Game: Find the people/things behind the upside-down cards.
+ There are a “word” side and a “blank/white” side in each card.
T will turn over the “word” sides of all cards facing the floor,
straight in one line.
+ T calls students to stand in one line, parallel with the card line.
+ T reads out loud the word, one word only for each time. SS
choose the card, open it. If any student can guess the right card
with the word, T will touch the hand to his or her hand as praise.
Then, the SS come back their seats.
+ One time, T calls 4 or five SS. Then, change other SS for the
other time. Try to let all SS have the chance to get involved in
the game.
=> After about 6 times, T changes the next activity.
*Song: Family Finger Elephants (SS listen)
3 ABC A=>Z -T reviews 26 letters, using flash cards (available) or writing the
alphabet letters on the board by himself/herself. Ask SS one-by-one in the
5- order. T says each letter, SS repeat after. Then, T points/shows
10m any letter, not in order; SS try to remember and repeat the letter.
-T lets SS listen to ABC song (one time, song is available). After
that, T asks SS to stand up, stay in one line and sing ABC song
without music.
When the song ends, T asks SS to go back their seats.
=>T changes the next activity.
4 Toys ball, net, doll, teddy,
car, van, kite, box, -T shows the flash cards (or PowerPoint slides), one-by-one,
5- umbrella asking “What is it?/What’s this?” Students will response the
10m School bag, book, pencil, content in the flash card (slide). Then, T say again the words in
things chair, table, window the cards, ask SS repeat after T.
* Game: Clap the board
+ T sticks all cards on the board (all prepared).
+ T asks all SS stand up and stay in two lines.
+T says each word out loud; two SS try to find the flash card and
touch their hand to the word they think it’s right. If any student
can guess the right card with the word, T will touch the hand to
his or her hand as praise. Then, the SS come back at the end of
their line and wait for the next turn.
+ One time, T calls 2 SS. Then, change other two SS for the
other time. Try to let all SS have the chance to get involved in
the game.
=> After about 3 times for the whole lines, T changes the next
activity.
5 Colors red, green, yellow, -T reviews 10 colors, using flash cards (available) or color
blue, orange, purple, papers. Ask SS one-by-one in order. T says each color, SS
5- pink, black, white, repeat after. Then, T points/shows any colors; SS try to
10m brown remember and repeat the colors.
-T lets SS listen to Colors song (one time, song is available)
and sing along with music.
- When the song ends, T sticks all the color flash cards on the
board, asks each student to go the board, points the colors and
say out loud the word in each card. Call all SS to practice.
=>T changes the next activity.
6 Food food, apple, egg, fish, -T shows the flash cards (or PowerPoint slides), one-by-one,
jam, pizza, yogurt, asking “What is it?/What’s this?” Students will response the
5- sandwich, banana, content in the flash card (slide). Then, T say again the words in
10m orange, biscuit the cards, ask SS repeat after T.

Try to let all SS have the chance to get involved in the game.
=> After about 6 times, T changes the next activity.
7 Body & Head, shoulder, knee, -T reviews words, using flash cards (available) or drawing the
face toe, eyes, mouth, body parts on the board by himself/herself, or show the
ears, nose, arm, Powerpoint slides. Ask SS to repeat one-by-one. T says each
hand, leg word SS repeat after. Then, T points/shows any word; SS try to
5- remember and repeat the word.
10m -T lets SS listen to “Head, Shoulder, Knee and Toes” song
(one time, song is available). After that, T asks SS to stand up,
stay in one line and sing HSK&T song and act without music,
moving from slow to fast speeds.
When the song ends, T asks SS to go back their seats.
=>T changes the next activity.
8 Animals bird, cat, dog, duck, T shows the flash cards (or PowerPoint slides), one-by-one,
lion, rabbit, zebra, asking “What is it?/What’s this?” Students will response the
5- goat, lion, tiger, content in the flash card (slide). Then, T says again the words in
10m the cards, ask SS repeat after T.
* Game: Clap the board
Try to let all SS have the chance to get involved in the game.
=> After about 3 times for the whole lines, T changes the next
activity.
9 Numbers 1=>10 -T reviews words of, using flash cards (available) or writing the
numbers on the board by himself/herself. Ask SS repeat the
5- numbers one-by-one in order 1-10. T says each number, SS
10m repeat after. Then, T points/shows any number, backward or not
in any order; SS try to remember and repeat the number.
-T lets SS listen to “1-10 numbers” song and/or “Ten Little
Indians” song (one time, song is available). After that, T asks
SS to repeat the numbers again.
=>T changes the next activity.
10 Clothes shirt, T-shirt, skirt, -T shows the flash cards (or PowerPoint slides), one-by-one,
trousers, dress, hat, asking “What is it?/What’s this?/Who’s that?” Students will
5m shoes, response the content in the flash card (slide). Then, T say again
Other boy, girl, moon, sun, the words in the cards, ask SS repeat after T.
vocabulary queen, * Game: Find the things/people behind the upside-down cards.
Try to let all SS have the chance to get involved in the game.
=> After about 6 times, T changes the next activity.
Relax song, gift-giving and saying * Song: “If you’re happy” song
goodbye, group photos - T& SS listen, sing and act following the song.
-T says something with SS, especially his/her feelings.
Vietnamese teacher will help translate when necessary.
- Gift giving, T gives and takes photo with each student.

*** Note: The meeting is purposeful for SS to have chance to communicate with foreigners. Therefore, T can
be flexible to organize the information exchange directly between T and SS by questions and answers, in
combination with other fun games designed by the teacher himself or herself. PRACTICE and FUN is
important!.
