Work / study
“Do you work or are you a student?”
I work as a Math tutor
Work:
1. What kind of work do you do?
I worked as a math tutor during my four years of college, and
this part-time job provided significant financial support. As a
math tutor, I help students understand math concepts and
improve their problem-solving skills. I tailor lessons to their
needs and provide guidance to build their confidence and
academic success.
2. What do you find most interesting about your work?
What I find most interesting is seeing students have "aha"
moments when they finally grasp a challenging concept. It’s
rewarding to watch their confidence grow as they improve.
3. Which is more important for you, the people you work with or
the work you do?
Both are important, but I prioritize the people I work with.
Helping students succeed and seeing their progress is what
makes the work meaningful for me.
4. Do you work best in the morning or the afternoon?
I work best in the morning because my mind is fresh and
focused, allowing me to plan and teach effectively. It’s a great
time to tackle challenging topics with energy and clarity.
5. Would you like to change the place you work?
I’m comfortable with where I work now, but I’m always open to
exploring places that offer new challenges or experiences to
enhance my teaching.
6. Do you prefer to work at home or in the workplace?
I prefer working in the workplace because it provides a
dedicated environment for teaching and better interaction with
students. It also helps separate work from home life.

I am living in HCMC, a bustling and vibrant metropolis in
Vietnam.
2. Can you describe the place where you live?
The city is known for its lively streets, modern skyscrapers, and
rich cultural heritage. There’s a mix of traditional markets, such
as Ben Thanh Market, and contemporary shopping malls, along
with a wide range of street food and delicious local dishes. The
weather is warm and humid year-round, and the city’s energy
never seems to slow down.
3. What do you like most about your neighbourhood?
What I like most about my neighborhood is the friendly and
supportive people around me. It feels like a close-knit
community where neighbors help each other and share a sense
of belonging.
4. Would you recommend your neighbourhood to others?
Yes, I would definitely recommend my neighborhood. It’s a
vibrant and welcoming place with friendly people, great local
food, and everything you need within reach.
5. What would you like to change about where you live?
I would like to see more green spaces and parks in my area to
provide a calm, relaxing environment and improve the overall
quality of life for residents.

I live in an apartment. It’s convenient and offers easy access to
everything I need, like shops and public transport, while still
providing a comfortable living space.

No, I don’t often cary coins with me. Most of the time, I prefer
