ACCOUNTANCY TEST

BRS

On 31st March 2024, the cash book of M/s Sharma Traders showed an overdraft of ₹
15,250. You are required to prepare a Bank Reconciliation Statement as on that date

presented for payment on 1st April 2024.
3. Bank charges of ₹ 250 and interest on overdraft of ₹ 400 were debited by the
bank, but the bank statement showed these entries as ₹ 250 and ₹ 400
respectively, while the accountant incorrectly recorded them as ₹ 520 and ₹ 40
in the cash book.
4. A customer deposited ₹ 2,000 directly into the bank account, but this was
omitted from the cash book.

correctly entered in the passbook, but in the cash book, the accountant
incorrectly recorded it as a payment made by the firm.
6. The debit side of the bank column in the cash book was overcast by ₹ 1,000.
