4(a). How Can Aarong Build on Its Strengths and Core


Competencies?

Aarong is already a strong and trusted brand in Bangladesh. It helps local


artisans, sells quality handmade products, and follows fair trade rules. To
grow more in the future, Aarong can focus on the following simple but smart
ideas: (BRAC, 2023)

 Aarong is already known for trust and good quality. They have opened
shops in new areas like Noakhali and Cox’s Bazar. In the future, they
can open more branches in smaller towns or even in other countries. A
well-known brand helps people trust Aarong quickly when they go to
new places. (The Daily Star, 2025; Aarong, 2025)

 Aarong’s website and app are now much better, and they deliver
products to six countries. To stay ahead of others, they can make
online shopping even easier and faster. They can also use technology
like showing suggested items and checking what customers like. This
helps them serve both local and international customers in a better
way. (The Financial Express, 2024; Rahman & Rahman, 2021)

 The new Dhanmondi outlet is a great example — it has shopping areas,


art displays, and even a play zone for kids. Aarong can use this same
idea in other branches too. This makes shopping more fun and helps
customers feel more connected to the brand. (Aarong, 2025)

 Aarong already helps many rural women by giving them training and
jobs. If they train more people in other areas, they can make more
products and protect traditional skills. This also helps reduce poverty,

 By working with local or foreign designers, Aarong can mix traditional


and modern styles. This will bring in more young customers and make
