PREFACE to 10th Edition
First of all, I would like to thank all the students who place their trust in us and used the
previous edition(s) during their studies and encountered the exam of ICAP with optimum
confidence level alhumdoLILLAH.
Specifically speaking, this Edition has two value additions. Firstly it’s an update to the
previous edition to add latest circulars and updates to the syllabus. Moreover as there was a
new scheme in hand with some 11 new laws as well as the pattern of the paper shifted to
OPEN Book Style, this book is now revamped considering the need of students to cross link
the bare laws. A comprehensive Toolkit is added as a Volume-II that can help students
tracing and cross linking different concepts in the bare law book. Moreover some 200+
questions have been added chapter wise for practicing the OPEN Book approach. These
questions are either self-developed or a revamped version of the past papers so that students
may test their abilities at ICAP level testing
Primarily this book is designed, considering the needs and syllabus outline of ICAP – CFAP Paper
“Corporate Laws”; however the comprehensiveness of this book makes it also relevant for
equivalent papers of other qualifications such as ACMA, CCS, CPA(Pak), PIPFA and MBA with a
little or no divergence of the contents.
Although reasonable efforts have been put to make the book free from majority of the errors,
nevertheless absolute assurance is never possible due to inherent limitations in the process of
compilations, interpretation and presentations of the laws in easily understandable language.
