Biome

The document describes various biomes, including the Amazon Forest, Serengeti Plain, Death Valley, Denali National Park, and Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, highlighting their unique characteristics and ecosystems. It also discusses the Philippines as a tropical rainforest biome, emphasizing its diverse ecosystems, high rainfall, and importance for biodiversity. The essay concludes that the Philippines' geography supports its classification as a tropical rainforest, which is vital for oxygen production and climate control.

B. Essay

“Of the different terrestrial biomes discussed, where does

the Philippines fit in? What are its characteristics that
made you say that?”

The Philippines, a country located in the Southeast Asia, a

home of diverse range of ecosystem that support the wide array
of plants and animals. This country fits into the Tropical
Rainforest kind of biome because of its resemblance.

This country’s geographical location near the equator

creates heavy rains, high temperature, high humidity, and high
temperature throughout the year. The country’s abundance in
vegetation are commonly the source of people’s living. The
Philippines’ rainforest is also the habitation of wild plants and
animals.

The abundant rainfall supports the cultivation of the

vegetation in this country. This characteristics defined that
Philippines is fit for tropical rainforest biome, which are essential
for biodiversity and ecosystem.
To sum up, the country’s tropical rainforest plays a crucial
role by producing oxygen, controlling the climate, and supporting
the lives of the people. The country’s unique geography makes its
an ideal location or place for this biome.
