Description Parallel-switching of transformers
All regulators are in a position to control several parallel ope-
rating transformers on one bus bar without any additional in-

Cross Linking/Parallel Operation Interfaces RS485
The cross linking of several regulators to a system is essen- Each REG-DTM regulator has a double interface E-LAN as
tial for parallel operation on transformers. Parallel operating standard. It is used for the connection via bus of each regulator
programs such as ∆I sinϕ, ∆I sinϕ (S), ∆I, Master Follower and monitoring unit to a voltage regulator system.
and Master Slave can only be realised via system bus (E-LAN).
This enables each group members of a parallel operation to E-LAN (Energy-Local Area Network)
communicate easily with each other without any further characteristics
components such as operational sets etc. • 255 subscribers can be addressed
For a parallel operation which works like the ∆cosϕ principle • multimaster structure
a connection to the subscribers is not necessary and usually • integrated repeater function
not possible due to far distances. • open ring, bus or combination of bus and ring
• protocol based on SDLC/HDLC-frames
• transmission rate 62.5 or 125 kbit / s
Serial Interfaces • telegram length 10 ... 30 Bytes
Interface RS 232 • average throughput about 100 telegrams / s
REG-DTM disposes of two serial interfaces RS 232 (COM1,
COM2). Access to COM1 is on the front of the instrument and COM3
COM2 can be reached via connector block. For the connection of < 15 interface components (BIN-D,
COM2 is used for the connection of the voltage regulator ANA-D) in any combination with the regulator REG-DTM.
