Reporting Relationship Reports to: 1 Engineer or 3 Engineer
 Direct reports: n/a
Top 5  Assist in bunkering and storing operations
 Assist in the general upkeep of the technical spaces
 Make proper use of personal protective equipment in performance of
duties and attends fire and boat drills and other safety drills and safety
meetings
 Become familiar with various technical plant arrangements, location of
spares, tools, equipment, fire fighting and safety equipment and its
proper use
 Perform cleaning, maintenance, chipping and painting of technical
space machinery, equipment, spaces and bilges as directed by the
supervisor
Job Responsibilities  Familiar with terms used in the technical spaces where assigned and
knows the names of machinery and equipment relevant to assigned
duties
 Participate in personal and ship safety programs onboard
 Exert effort to maximize the efficiency/effectiveness of Engineering
Department team
 Follow the muster list and special instructions by the Master through the
Chief Engineer
Required/Desired: Experience,  Six months to one year experience on cruise or passenger vessels
Qualifications, Education, Licenses preferred
 Engineering cadet or other ship experience at sea considered
 Flexible in day-to-day activities
