Overall Impact & Presentation – 20%

Prizes: Certificate & token for the Best Science Room (Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up).

2. Edible Science Experiments

Description: Students will conduct fun, safe, and edible experiments that demonstrate basic scientific principles
while being enjoyable to taste.

Participants: Grades 1–12 (grouped by level).

Sample Experiments per Level:

Grades 1–3

Making rock candy (crystallization).

Edible slime (non-toxic polymers using marshmallows or gummy bears).

Grades 4–6

Baking soda & vinegar cupcakes (chemical reaction for fluffiness).

Invisible ink with lemon juice on cookies (acid reaction).

Grades 7–9

Density rainbow drink (liquid density with juices/syrup).

Edible pH indicators using red cabbage juice in drinks.

Grades 10–12

Ice cream in a bag (freezing point depression).

Edible DNA model using candies and licorice (molecular biology).
