➤ (If) is a poem of four stanzas. The father provides his son with his advice.

He teaches him how to face life which is full of good and evil, Fortune and
misfortune.

➤ The father asks his son to be calm, brave and never to lose his temper He
asks him to have confidence in himself even when people mistr him. He asks
him to have the patience to listen to others if it is untrue. He advises his son
to follow an honest way of life.

Paraphrase:

goal he must not lose his nerve. But he must be brave enough to summon up
courage C and hold on by his strong will and determination.

Paraphrase:

the same time he shouldn't get too involved with them. The father advises
his to try to compensate for every minute of son hard feelings towards
others. If the son follows the above advice, he will own the whole world and
