The Blessings of Science

We live in an age of science, and modern life is unimaginable without it. Science has blessed us
with numerous inventions that have made life easy and comfortable. Mobile phones, computers,
and the internet have brought the world within our reach through instant communication.

In cities, the gifts of science are visible everywhere. We depend daily on mobiles, electricity,
computers, and the internet. Houses and streets are lit, industries run, and entertainment like
cinema, radio, and television are possible because of science. Machines and medicines also
help to purify water for safe use.

Medical science has lessened human sufferings. Penicillin, x-ray, ECG, ultrasound, and other
discoveries save lives and ensure better treatment. Doctors now rely on modern scientific
methods in every step of their work.

Science has also widened education and agriculture. Printing, books, and the internet spread
knowledge, while tractors, power tillers, pumps, and new techniques increase food production.
Trains, planes, buses, rockets, and steamers have revolutionized communication by saving time
and removing distance.

However, science is not a mere blessing. Sometimes it becomes a curse. It becomes a curse
during war. Some destructive weapons are used in killing people. People also use the
inventions of science for different kinds of evil purposes.

The inventions of science are no doubt a blessing for us. It has done a lot for the development
of human civilization. We are mostly dependent on the inventions of modern science in our
everyday life.
