Introduction

Refrigeration is a technique that has developed over time and the

advance of civilization; as a result of the needs that society itself
it presents as technology and invention advance in different fields,
contributing to raising the standard of living of people.

In this project, calculations will be made to determine the required power for
condition a building with several offices, taking into account the location
geographic, which is of utmost importance because it determines the amount of
solar radiation that is projected onto the different walls and the ceiling of the building.
Currently, many people calculate the capacity of the air conditioner.
depending on the area of the place, unaware of the importance of relative humidity, the
material with which the building was constructed, the angle of incidence of the radiation
solar, among other factors that in one way or another have a great influence on the
determination of the equipment capacity.

1. Theoretical Framework.

What is air conditioning?

Air conditioning is now the best method to control the temperature of

a home, office, or industrial area. It involves cooling, cleaning, and circulating the air
controlled, according to the demands of the air-conditioned space.

The characteristics of the air that are controlled simultaneously are temperature,
humidity purity y distribution uniform in the enclosure.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

To reduce or maintain the temperature of an environment below the temperature of the

heat must be extracted from the space and transferred to another body whose temperature
is lower than that of the refrigerated space.

The process is a refrigerant substance that travels through a circuit with two points of
temperature exchange, one inside the space and the other outside.

At the indoor exchange point (evaporator), the refrigerant captures heat from
enclosure to air-condition and conduits it to the second outdoor exchange point
(condenser), where it is released.
Air Conditioning

Air conditioning is the process that allows for the creation and maintenance of certain conditions.
conditions of temperature, relative humidity and air purity in closed environments.
This process is usually applied to maintain a level of personal comfort.
It is also used in the industrial field to ensure the proper functioning of
devices or machines that operate in limited environmental conditions or to preserve
the development of some particular industrial fabrications, such as
welding, which produces significant amounts of heat that must be removed from
some way.

DOMESTIC REFRIGERATION

It represents a very significant part of the industry in refrigeration. It has a

relatively limited field of application and mainly deals with refrigerators and
domestic freezers for the preservation of food products at the household level
residential.

Commercial Refrigeration

Commercial refrigeration consists of the design, installation, and maintenance of

refrigeration devices used in: stores, warehouses, restaurants, and institutions.
The main function of these devices is for storage, display, processing and
expedition of articles/products of all types that are subject to deterioration
food products to ensure maximum performance and a long life for them
products [2]

INDUSTRIAL REFRIGERATION

Industrial refrigeration includes a wide range of applications such as: plants for
ice, large food packing plants, breweries, dairy farms, and plants
industries, such as oil refineries, chemical plants, etc., serve for the
processing and storage of products. Industrial refrigeration also includes
those applications that deal with the construction industry [2]

APPLICATIONS OF AIR CONDITIONING

Air conditioning improves the quality of life both in the home environment and in
the commercial sector has become a rapidly expanding market, especially in
case of large residential, commercial, and industrial complexes.

MAIN DEVICES WE FIND IN THE FIELD OF

COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL REFRIGERATION.
Refrigerated chambers.
Display refrigerated showcases for supermarkets.
Display refrigerated showcases for pastry shops, bars, ice cream parlors.
Used refrigerators in industrial kitchens, including the chambers of
ripening and fermentation.
Refrigerators for pharmaceutical products.
Blast chillers.

COMPRESSION REFRIGERATION SYSTEM.

The conventional cooling system and the most widely used in air conditioning is
the compression refrigeration system. When condensing, this gas emits latent heat
that before, when evaporating, had absorbed the same refrigerant to a level of
lower temperature. Mechanical energy is used to maintain this cycle,
generally through electrical energy.

In addition, the refrigerants used today belong to the group of chlorofluorocarbons.

carbons, which on one hand damage the ozone layer and on the other hand contribute to the effect

RESSION.

When a force is applied to a surface, the effect produced depends on the size of
this surface. This means that they distribute the weight of the man over their large
surface in such a way that its weight per unit of snow surface is less.

Sensible heat.

It is the heat that causes a substance to increase its temperature. The sensible heat.
causes an increase or decrease in temperature while latent heat
produce a change of state (liquid, vapor or solid).

CONDENSATION.

It is a state change produced by the extraction of heat (cooling) where the

gases turn into liquid state.

EVAPORATION.

State change produced by the introduction of heat (heating) to a liquid

so that it turns to steam.
Conclusion

With the present project we can observe that to determine the thermal capacity
From the local, various factors influenced that were in one way or another of great importance.
