INTRODUCTION
As we mentioned earlier, the name ABC implies or means
a "beginning". In this case, it refers to the imparting of the doctrines.
basics of Christianity, to provide a well-founded and solid foundation
to the newly converted.

THE ABC: DISCIPLESHIP
Here you will find the basic teachings you need to know
about your Christian walk. Just like a child when they are born
still cannot eat any type of food, the Christian
"newborn" still cannot understand many of the truths
divine. Here you can begin to learn about ABUNDANT LIFE
what Jesus has promised you.

1st -Your Public Decision of
Follow Christ
A.- YOU LET OTHERS KNOW YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST
1. You must share this blessing. Romans 10:9-10; Matthew 10:32-33
The longer you take, the worse it will be.
B.- YOU WILL PROVOKE TWO TYPES OF REACTIONS
The needy will come to seek more of Jesus in your life.
Some will turn against you
They will mock you or chase you.
Mateo 5:10-12
Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
If we endure, we will also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us.
There is a reason for all this opposition: You are white
of the devil
But you have the power to overcome in Christ Jesus
John 10:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Your behavior as a child of God
Romanos 12:14-16
Mateo 5:44-47
2nd - Born Again
A.- YOU ARE A SON OF GOD
The human race is a creation of God. We all belong to the lineage of
Adam, therefore, the blood of our ancestors runs through our veins.
first parents. Thus, man and woman, we come from
to be creatures of God.
Now, what happens to those who believe and receive?
Jesus in their lives? Let's look at the text of John 1:12.
We are told that such ones are granted the 'power', that is,
the dominion or power to be constituted as children of God. That is,
Being children of God is a concession that we can receive.
after becoming creatures and that is only acquired if
we believe and receive Jesus Christ.
B.- YOU ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT
The Gospel of John teaches us in chapter 1, verse 12 that
the children of God are not begotten of man, but of
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but
of God.
So, what kind of birth is he talking about?
evangelist John? Without a doubt, he speaks to us about the New Birth of
Spirit, as Jesus taught in John 3:5-8.
Being born of the Spirit is the greatest of miracles. And as a miracle
what it is, it has no rational explanation. However, it is
essential to enter the kingdom of God and therefore to form
part of the family of God whose Father is God.
C.- YOU HAVE A NEW LIFE
Being reborn is not changing religion, nor does it have to
see with a new 'lifestyle'. It is something much deeper and
Transcendent. Being born again is starting a new life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 teaches us that in Christ everything begins anew.
new. The past no longer has power over our present;
we have the opportunity to start a new phase within
our existence: 'the old things have passed away... all things are made new'
new.
D.- YOU HAVE NEW PASSIONS AND DESIRES
Having Christ represents a radical change in our entire
way of thinking, speaking, and acting. Our desires and passions
They have been transformed. (See Ephesians 4:24,25 compare with
Colossians 3:5-10; Ephesians 4:22
Our goal in life is no longer to please ourselves.
ourselves, rather, it will be about pleasing the Spirit. It is
to say, to Jesus who comes to be our Savior and Lord.
But to conclude this teaching, it is important that
let's understand that being born again has an implication
necessary, without which we could not carry out a life of
faithfulness to the Lord Jesus Christ. Only a new heart makes
possible a New Life. Ezekiel 11:19-20.
3rd - Your life of prayer with God
A.- YOUR PRAYER IS COMMUNION WITH GOD
Through prayer, we communicate with God.
If you practice it daily, you will know what God's will is for you.
B.- SATAN HAS AS HIS OBJECTIVE THAT YOU DO NOT PRAY
Your prayer life is the area most attacked by the devil. He knows that if
If you manage to remove her from your life, you may be overcome by temptation.
2. When you practice prayer, you will have the following results:
You are full of Faith
It makes you advance in the Kingdom of God
It makes you advance over the kingdom of darkness
C.- PRAYER IS THE SOURCE OF POWER FOR THE CHRISTIAN
The more you practice the life of prayer, the more power.
there will be in your life. If you abandon prayer, you will stop
to depend on God and you will rely on your own
forces and, therefore, in self-sufficiency.
D.- HOW CAN YOU START PRACTICING PRAYER?
Start with 15 minutes a day. With your growth
Cristiano, you will realize that you need to say more to God.
and you will want to spend more time with Him.
Try to have a usual place to spend your time.
daily prayer
Share everything that happens to you during the day with Him.
Remember that no matter where you are, He is with you.
E.- DIFFERENT TYPES OF SENTENCES
1. The confession prayer. 1 John 1:19 and Deuteronomy 32:36
It is to obtain God's favor for the forgiveness of the
sins. It is the moment to share with God in which
you have failed and show your remorse. God forgives and
restores.
2. The prayer of request. Mark 11:24; Matthew 21:22
Upon becoming children of God, He becomes our
Father and Friend. When you are in need of something you can
ask for it to be able to receive it from Him. You will discover that
God is for you a good Father, generous and a faithful friend.
3. The prayer of praise and worship. Luke 24:50-53; Acts 16:22-25
It is to experience one of the most excellent moments of communion with God.
Through this type of prayer, we can thank God and
recognize its wonders with our life. In this time the Spirit
Saint manifests powerfully and the heavens open above
our life and family.
5. The Intercession Prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1
It is when we invest our time in praying for others and not
so much for our needs. The goal is to pray for the
family, friends..
6. The prayer with others, in unity. Matthew 18:19; Acts 4:23-24
It's about when we gather with other believers and we
we kneel down to pray. Undoubtedly, the hand of God moves.
at this time.
7. Prayer in the Spirit. Romans 8:26-27
Sometimes we may find ourselves not knowing how to pray.
a good time to let the Holy Spirit
intercede for you.
F.- YOUR PRAYER MOMENTS
You will always face urgent things to
You must determine to leave the urgent.
TO DO THE IMPORTANT. Dare and you will see your
life changes.
G.- YOUR ENEMIES OF PRAYER
A dirty heart
Incorrect motives and lack of honest desires
Lack of praise
Lack of forgiveness in our relationship with others
Being far from the will of God
Praying with complaint or negatively
Lack of sincerity with God in prayer
Lack of silence and stillness in prayer
Inconstancy
Not having a clear answer that we expect
Lack of faith that God will respond in prayer
4th - Start reading the Bible
A.- THE BIBLE IS A LETTER OF LOVE FROM GOD FOR YOU
Through the daily reading of this letter you can

has with men and, above all, for your life.
But at the same time you will discover how much love God
has with you.

The devil will try to make you excuses.
I don't have time
I am too tired
When I read it, it makes me sleepy.
I don't remember what I read.
I don't understand it.
My family calls me a fanatic.
We must rebuke every attack of Satan and ask the Lord to

Acts 4:19-20
5. Don't rush to speak. Speak with tenderness and
understanding. Do not accuse and try to emphasize on the
love of God and His forgiveness. Something that will help you to be more
effective in your testimony is that you know how to listen
6th - You need to be full of
Holy Spirit
The New Birth is the essential experience for
our life is conditioned so that we can receive the
Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
All the necessary preparation for Baptism in the Spirit
Saint proclaims Peter in Acts 2:38 and Acts 3:19
REPENTANCE AND FORGIVENESS OF SINS
A.- THE PROMISED BAPTISM
a.IN THE OLD TESTAMENT. Among other texts, perhaps the most
known shall be that of Joel 2:28-32
b.JUAN THE BAPTIST. The Baptist announced that he baptized in water, but
that Jesus would baptize in the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:11; Luke 3:16;
I baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
c.JESUS. Jesus announced the outpouring of power as an experience
essential for the disciples. Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8
B.- BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT IS A NECESSITY
In the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit descended upon
some specific men to train them with a power
special, supernatural, that allowed them to carry out the work
commissioned by God. (Ex.: Samson, Judges 14:6; David
1 Samuel 16:13
Without that training, they could never have been faithful to God and
fulfill the assigned mission.
Now, that anointing is not just for some in particular; it is for
all who are called by the Lord (Acts 2:39). That is to say
that this anointing will be poured out on all people or
nation...ABOVE ALL FLESH (Acts 2:17).
Baptism in the Holy Spirit IS NOT OPTIONAL, IT IS A
NEED. Thus affirms the apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:18: Be
filled with the Spirit (more literal translation: 'be continuously')
full). But above all, it is the same Lord Jesus Christ who
he orders his disciples to wait for the Baptism in
the Holy Spirit before starting his missionary work (Acts
1:8).
So, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is essential for
the personal victory over temptation and an evangelization
powerful.
C.- HOW CAN YOU RECEIVE BAPTISM IN THE SPIRIT
SAINT?
Loving the Promise of the Spirit and not just the result.
b.Asking it from the Heavenly Father (Luke 11:13)
c.Showing remorse for sin (Acts 2:38,39)
d. Obeying God (Acts 5:32)
e. Insisting on prayer as a priority (Luke 11:8)
D.- THE RESULTS OF BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The continuous presence of the Spirit in us and not just with us
(John 14:17)
b. Speaking in new tongues Acts 2:1-4, 16-21; 10:44-48; 19:1-7
c. Receive gifts of the Spirit Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:17-18
d. Receive the abundant fruit of the Spirit Galatians 5:22
e. Receive power (Acts 1:8)
7th - Your church membership
God's plan for the redemption of the human race goes through the
formation of a people, which is a large family, which comes to be
the prolongation of Jesus' work on earth. That people or
the family is made up of millions of redeemed believers
which is the body, the visible presence of Jesus; it is
say, that yes
Christ continues to act, and he will do so through his body, which is the
Church.
A.- WHAT IS THE CHURCH?
In our cultural context, the concept of 'church' has to
seen in most cases with a religious building. Not
however, the Church, comes to be laekklesiaque means
assembly of those who are called. In this case, those who are
called by God to form His People.
In the New Testament, when the word "church" appears.
primarily has to do with two meanings:
a. THE LOCAL CHURCH. The group of believers that makes up a
congregation in a specific place; for example: Acts 13:1;
1 Corinthians 14:23
b. THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH. It is the global composite of believers.
of all the earth; for example: Ephesians 5:23. At this point it is advisable
mention Christ is the founder of the Church and that no religion in
the world has the right to self-proclaim itself as 'church'
universal". Matthew 16:18
The New Testament has three ways
fundamentals of illustrating what IS the
Church
The Bride of Christ. Represents the communion and union of God with his
For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
The Temple of God. In ancient times, God dwelled in the Tabernacle or in
the Temple of Jerusalem. Now, God has established to be present by
his Spirit in the Church where he is worshiped and adored by
in the midst of the believers. Ephesians 2:21,22; 1 Corinthians 3:16,17
It is the Body of Christ. This illustration reminds us of the Church as
a living organism and not like an organization. The human body is
an organism made up of different members that are
functioning with a shared life and making them dependent
one another. Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18
B.-TO BE A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH
We have talked about the difference between Local Church and Church
Universal. The Universal Church is the group of believers from all
the world and all the denominations that make up the
body of Christ, but at the same time, the Universal Church is
composed of various Local Churches everywhere in
planet that organize and work to fulfill the
purpose entrusted by the Lord.
The membership of the Universal Church belongs to the Lord, it is
the one who adds "every day to the church those who are to be saved."
Acts 2:48
Now, for the membership of the Local Church, a few are required
requirements that guarantee us that a person is clear
his decision for Christ and that moreover, his testimony, does not leave
place to the least possible doubt. For this reason, basically, the
requirements for a person to initially be part of the
Local Church will become two:
a. Clear recognition that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Lord of his
life. Acts 16:31
Submission to baptism as a public testimony of his faith in Christ.
Normally, baptism is accompanied by a verbal confession of
Romans 10:9,10; Acts 16:31-32; Mark 16:16
C.- YOUR FUNCTIONS AS A MEMBER OF THE BODY OF CHRIST
The success of a Local Church will depend on the fact that the
members who are being added to it do so
understanding their mission within the Corps. Everyone has
different characteristics and all will be placed in places
different; the members of a church are many and different
1 Corinthians 12:20, 11.
Having said that, we will mention some of the functions
practices and necessities of the members of a Local Church:
a. Share the Gospel with others who do not yet know the Lord.
Matthew 28:19-20. Especially, the main objective is the
evangelization of our family members.
b. Care and dependence on the other members of the church. 1st
1 Corinthians 12:25.
c.Assistance and participation in meetings Ephesians 1:10; Hebrews 10:25
d. Offering our gifts in the service of the church. Galatians 5:13; Ephesians
6:6,7
To support the church with our tithes and offerings 2 Corinthians 9:6-
Malachi 3:10
To offer God our life as a constant, daily living sacrifice
Romans 12:1,2
g. Care for and obey the pastors Hebrews 13:7,17
8th - You are God's steward
It is of utmost importance that, from the beginning of our
conversion, let's understand what it means to totally GIVE IN to
Christ. To surrender means to submit without any reservation our
life completely to Christ; that is, all our plans, what
we are what we own. Only when we have made a
total surrender to Christ is when we will never have any
problem with DELIVERING TO US, and that means giving and giving ourselves to
ourselves.
A.- GOD IS THE OWNER AND WE ARE HIS STEWARDS
The Bible declares: 'The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world
and those who dwell in it" Psalm 24:1. We are not the
owners of the Universe, we are merely the administrators. The
The Lord is the owner of our life, of everything material and
immaterial, of what is on earth and in the sky...of everything
how much we can possess: our family, our money,
our possessions, our capabilities.
As administrators, our job is to manage
well and take care of what is His. We have the obligation to be faithful.
in this stewardship.
Being stewards doesn't mean we can't enjoy the
things that are of Him. Rather, it turns out to be quite the opposite,
as the Word of God teaches us (1 Timothy 6:17).
The principle of stewardship consists of understanding to whom
everything we are and have belongs to Him, the Lord,
he may dispose of it whenever he wishes. As the king said
...everything is yours, and we give you from what we have received from your hand.
(Read 2 Chronicles 29:10-14).
B.- TITHES AND OFFERINGS IN THE BIBLE
God's plan for the Church involves the principle of tithing and
the offering. It is not possible for the church to advance without the
members of the churches learn to give from what is the Lord's.
It is not advisable, because it is not God's plan, that the
governments financially support churches; God wants
that the members themselves give from their own
support the church to which he/she belongs.
It would be impossible, given that we are in a society that
money voucher for any type of company, that we could
support missionaries, conduct evangelization campaigns, have
temples, support the ministers, carry out programs
Social...; without a doubt, tithes and offerings are necessary.
In the Primitive Church.
The first believers, right after their conversion, arranged
all their goods at the service of the church. "they had in common
all things; and they sold their properties and their goods, and it
they distributed to everyone according to each one's needs...and none
He claimed that nothing he owned was his, but that they had all the
"things in common" (Acts 2:44, 45; 4:32)
As the church grew, the needs became
they occurred and all kinds of offerings were necessary to cover the
needs of the needy and for the advancement of the gospel.
For example, the church of Macedonia was an example of this.
Corintios 8:1-4.
The Teaching of the Tithe.
The tithe is the minimum we can give to God. It had and has
as a principle the support of the house of God. (Read Malachi)
3:10
Some teach that tithing is a teaching from the Old
Will and that it is no longer necessary to fulfill because
We are not under Jewish law. This argument is not
valid for two fundamental reasons:
Jesus never spoke against tithing, nor did he advise to stop giving it.
The believers of the nascent church not only did not practice the
tithing, but they gave much more in order to see the work fulfilled
God.
The tithe, as the word itself indicates,
it is 10%. Therefore, our contribution
the minimum to the church is 10% of everything that
we enter. Of every thousand pesetas, one hundred are
we give to the Lord.
It is important that we have this as a priority and not
let's wait for all our accounts to be settled before
start practicing it. We must remember that the first fruits are
from God, and not what we have left over from the month. Undoubtedly, there is a great
blessing when we honor God with our first fruits
Proverbs 3:9,10.
The Privilege of Giving.
Offering and tithing are not an obligation for the Christian, nor
at least it is a rule for church membership. Without
embargo, it is a great privilege.
When we do it as a privilege, then we will do it.
cheerfully, generously and we will be sowing
prosperity for the church and for our own finances. Not
We must not forget that we are talking about principles.
spiritual and not mathematical 2 Corinthians 9:5-8
C.- PROMISES FOR THE PERSON WHO GIVES IN FAITH
1. If you are generous, God prospers you Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians
9:6
God promises you 30, 60, and 100 times more in this life.
Mark 10:30; Philippians 4:19. God will always provide for you.
despite the economic problems of this world,
our own country. He will always sustain us.
You are making treasures for yourself in heaven. Matthew
6:19-20; Philippians 4:17-19
Beyond your calculations, you will be blessed. Malachi 3:10;
Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.
5.God will rebuke the devourer for you Malachi 3:11
Your needs will always be met Psalm 37:19
25-26; 34:9-10
My God will supply all that you lack according to his
riches in glory
in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19
9th - Your decision to be baptized
There are many traditions that manipulate or nullify the
commandments that are from God. Many of those traditions
surround the Baptism. Jesus warned about this to the
scribes and Pharisees of your time: 'you have invalidated the
the commandment of God by your tradition" (Matthew 15:6). From
there we must address the teaching on Baptism
being open to much of our traditionalism remaining
evidenced as something distant from what Jesus and the Scriptures have for us
they teach.
In this brief and sufficient study, we will observe the foundations.
biblical and the reason for Baptism in the Church.
A.- WHAT DOES BAPTISM MEAN?
a) The meaning of the word
The first thing we need to know is that the New Testament was
written in Greek. Therefore, the meaning of the words
they clarify the meaning of the doctrine on baptism.
The word for baptism is baptizo. It means 'to immerse'.
dive underneath, immersion. This fits with the
Paul's teaching comparing baptism to a burial;
buried with him in baptism (Colossians 2:12) For
we are buried together with him for death by the
"baptism" (Romans 6:4).
b) The Jewish custom.
Moreover, baptism in the time of the New Testament always
it was understood by immersion. In fact, baptism by
immersion was part of the existing ceremonialism so that
the proselytes (the candidates to become Jewish) came to form
part of the Jewish people; the meaning was cleanliness,
purification. Precisely, it was this model of baptism that
John the Baptist was practicing. (Matthew 3:5,6)
c) The practice of Jesus and his disciples.
The baptism of Jesus. Mark 1:9, 10: "...was baptized by John in the
Jordan. And then, when he was coming up from the water, he saw the heavens open...
The baptism of the Ethiopian Eunuch. Acts 8:38,39: "...they went down
both into the water,...and he baptized him. When they came up out of the water.
B.- WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BAPTIZED?
After conversion, we must understand Baptism as
the most important step in our walk with Christ.
Certainly, we know that baptism does not save, but refusing it,
except for justified causes, I would call into question our
salvation, since Jesus affirmed that "he who believes and is
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mark 16:16). The truth is that the
understanding the meaning of baptism will help us to give it the
importance that such a ceremony deserves.
Being baptized means a full identification with the
death of Jesus. We are buried in his death. Our old
nature dies with Christ (Romans 6:3,4,6)
b. Baptism reminds us that we have been raised with Christ to
to walk in newness of life. Upon coming out of the waters, we symbolize the beginning
of the new life in Christ (Romans 6:4,5; Colossians 2:12)
As it is a public act, we come to express to the world our
testimony of faith in Him, the change that has occurred within us and our
firm decision to follow him every day. (Matthew 10:32,33)
It is a manifest step that reaffirms us more in the unity of the Body of
Christ, who is the Church. That is to say, that through baptism we determine
to commit ourselves to the unity with the family of God. (Galatians 3:27,28)
It is a triumph over the power of darkness. In the spiritual world, it
has produced a defeat of Satan. The baptism therefore, would come to
to be a symbolic confession that brings us victory (Colossians 2:12-
15)
C.- Why should you be baptized?
By understanding the meaning of baptism and its
transcendence, this gives us an important reason why
we must be baptized. A refusal can only come to
consequence of the fear or insecurity of following Jesus.
But the main reason why we should be baptized is
because it is a command from Jesus, Matthew 28:18, 19 '...go, and make...
disciples... baptizing them." Therefore, baptism is not something
what we seek to please ourselves or to
meet some requirements to become members of a
a specific Christian community. At the same time, to doubt the
Baptism is to doubt his command. Moreover, we put into question
our love for Christ if we do not obey the commandment of
be baptized. "He who has my commandments and keeps them,
"He is the one who loves me" (John 14:21). Peter, after the speech.
of Pentecost, leaves no room for doubt regarding the fact that
It is a commandment: "... Let each of you be baptized..."
Acts 2:38.
First of all, the reason for this is clear.
Church membership is not advisable for those who do not take the step.
of baptism. So we would say that baptism can very well be
the 'external seal of our conversion'. At the same time, this
teaching rejects the doctrine of infant baptism because it does not
to have no biblical basis or logical foundations since it is necessary the
to accept baptism intelligently and because it is not a
essential mechanism of salvation, as taught by the church
Roman Catholic.

10th - The Last Supper
The Last Supper is the celebration that allows us to remember the
sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, the Covenant that he established with his
people and our commitment to fidelity towards Him and towards His
Church.
Baptism introduces us to that identity with the church, now,
the Holy Supper allows us to continue in that identity, that is to say, in
that communion.
A.- IT WAS A COMMON PRACTICE IN THE EARLY CHURCH
Next, we will see when it was celebrated and who participated.
they participated in this celebration.
a. When was it celebrated? It was part of a feast. That is, a meal.
among the believers who made them gather and eat together to finish
with the celebration of the Institution of the Lord's Supper. (1 Cor. 11:17-

first day of the week. (Acts 20:7,11)

a practice of the Church, that is, of the believers. Therefore, the

B.- THE MEANING OF THE HOLY SUPPER
The fundamental meaning of the Last Supper revolves around two
ideas:
Celebration and Communion.
Celebration. According to 1 Corinthians 11:24,25, the apostle
Pablo tells us that he received the command from Jesus to
do it in memory of Him. That is, to make memory
It is to remember and therefore it is a celebration.
What are we celebrating? Three fundamental things:
His death for us
The forgiveness of our sins
His second coming
Our communion, as a church.
This teaching is important. No

Together we eat his body. Matthew 26:26. Let us remember that
this has a double meaning. On one hand, it speaks to us about the
body of Christ sacrificed on the cross. And on the other hand,
We understand that the body of Christ is also the Church.
Together we drink his blood. Matthew 26:28. Evidently,
the blood of Jesus is what cleanses us from all our sins
sins and comes to be the sign of the New Covenant. The
communion with his blood, comes to signify that every time
that when we participate in the Holy Supper, we must ensure
that we remain clean to stay within the
Covenant, that is, in its Communion.
In summary, Jesus spoke to us about the communion represented by
through His Body and His Blood. He told us that we should
to eat and drink from Him. By doing so, we are wanting to say that
we totally believe in Him (Jn.6:47 compare with vs. 53,54). And
of course, whoever remains in Him is the one who participates in the

he who abides in Him, comes to abide in His communion, already
to be in communion is to be united.
