CHAPTER 1

The revelation of Jesus Christ

1The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to
to manifest to his servants the things which must happen
soon; and he declared it by sending it through his angel to
your servant Juan,

Revelation

The book of Revelation is precisely what its name

A revelation. Of what? It is the revelation of
our beloved Lord Jesus Christ for his people,
especially for those who are part of the last
generation. Those who remain standing just
before his second coming.

It shows us the development of the redemption plan and its

outcome. The connection that exists between what Christ
what is being done in the heavenly sanctuary and what the
the inhabitants of the earth will be doing here and the
final decisions that each individual must make before
of the execution of divine judgments.

Who gives this revelation? It is given by our God

same: Jehovah, who in His infinite love gives Himself to
to know humanity through Jesus Christ.
John 14:9
9
Jesus said to him: How long have I been with you?
you all, and you haven’t known me, Philip? The one who has me
he who has seen me has seen the Father; how then can you say:
Show us the Father?

And in that knowledge we must acquire, the Father

gives time and opportunity to every human being to
that we can turn back from our bad ways and
accept Christ as Lord and Savior of our
lives.

Ephesians 1:17 to 23
7that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father
of glory, grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in
his knowledge,
18enlightening the eyes of your understanding, to
that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, and
what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the
saints
19and what is the supereminent greatness of his power to
with us who believe, according to the operation of
power of his strength,
20which operated in Christ, raising him from the dead and
sitting at his right hand in the heavenly places,
21above all principality and authority and power and lordship, and
above all name that is named, not only in this century,
but also in the coming one;
22andsubjected all things under his feet, and gave it for
head above all things to the church,
23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all things

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.
but is patient with us, not wanting anyone to
perish, but that all come to repentance

As this first verse of Revelation rightly says, these things, the

described in this book must happen, and will happen soon. Therefore
throughout the book, different warnings are developed given by

secret to his servants the prophets.

Lord, who will not prophesy?

Here Juan is used as a spokesperson to convey these

solemn news of a soon coming trial, not only
for the Gentiles but also for the house of Jehovah.

In His immense love, our good God has promised not to

do nothing without having revealed it beforehand. But the
Announcing it does not mean that everyone will accept it.

Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words
of this prophecy, and keep the things written in it;
because the time is near.

It is of vital importance that the Church of Christ can

understand the prophecies that were made for your
time. Satan will do everything possible to prevent it from

correctly understood.

For this reason, there is a special blessing from God for

everyone who reads and hears the words of this prophecy.
But here it clearly says, not only to the one who reads and hears them, but to
the one who keeps the things written in them. The promise

Greetings to the seven churches
4 Juan, to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace and peace
to you, who is and who was and who is to come, and of
the seven spirits that are before his throne;

The message I had received was of such importance

Juan who was to be sent to each church. To All the
churches.
Today the same thing happens. This message that Juan has received.
it has a double application: Although it was written in that
era and distributed to the churches located in Asia, their
the most important application is for the weather
present. And your message must be sent to each church
of the current situation.

As we know, the number 7 indicates completeness. Some

examples:

Genesis 2:1 Completeness in creation

Joshua 6:13 to 15 Completeness to conquer
So he went down and dipped himself in the
Completeness of Jordan seven
obedience times, as the man of God had said; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Leviticus 8:11 and

- 33, 14:9, 51 Completeness in the consecration
and the purification
Deut. 28:7 Completeness of victory
Those who were full have Completeness
hired themselves of

for bread, and those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children is forlorn.

And it is here in this text of Revelation that

we understand that this message must go through each
church and fully giving oneself in order to awaken to a
a town that can be ready for the reunion
with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you and Peace

There are thirteen references in the Bible to the terms 'grace and
"peace" together; below we mention the verses
in which the senders of these wishes are:

Romans 1:7 - To all that be in Rome,

in different geographical places in the writing of their

The seven spirits of God

As for "the seven spirits of God" it has been

misunderstood in general when not,
made all kinds of speculations to reach a
logical explanation. But as often happens, the truth is
simpler than it seems. Jehovah does not possess seven
spirits coexisting with themselves. We do not believe in

any reference that states something similar. Some have
given seven characteristics to God and conclude by saying
that each of them constitutes one of these seven
spirits.

The truth is that the Lord sends to each of the churches

his spirit. The spirit is the same but the churches are not.
Each church lives in a different context and has
different needs. That is why each one is
sent a message according to what is needed. Each one in
in particular, in order to be ready for the reunion with
Jesus Christ.
In the same book of Revelation, we are explained a little
more about this topic, in 4:5 it says '(...) before the throne
there were seven lamps of fire, which are the seven
spirits of God

Here it is clarified to us that the seven spirits mentioned

it is the seven lamps of fire that burned before the
throne. Let's read a little more to understand what it is about
is talking...
In Zechariah 4:2-3 we can read:
2And he said to me: What do you see? And I answered: I have looked, and behold

a candelabrum made entirely of gold, with a container on top, and

its seven lamps on the chandelier, and seven tubes
for the lamps that are above him;
Verse 10 says: (...) "These seven are the eyes of
Jehovah, who runs throughout the earth. And in verse 6 it says:

explaining to Zacharias the meaning of the two olive trees
(we will see it later)
Here we have an interesting fact: These seven are
the eyes of the Lord. (and it's not that He literally possesses
seven eyes clear it is) but rather that its presence is everywhere
the earth. There is not a single detail of the redemption plan
that escapes from his gaze. The Father and the Son become
presents filling the churches with their presence. This
it can be seen from the activity of the same sanctuary
celestial in which both actively participate.
That's why we see that there is a message for each church.
specific. In each stage, the children of God have had
to face different difficulties and phases of error.
But God has made provision of counsel and reserves of
His Spirit to be poured out to every Church that wants to hear
and obey.
Hebrews 4:13
13And there is nothing created that is not manifest in its
presence; rather all things are naked and
open to the eyes of the one we have to give
account.

dead, and the sovereign of the kings of the earth. To whom
he loved us, and washed us from our sins with his blood,

In the previous verse, we saw something about the seven.

lamps and we know that one of the elements of
the sanctuary is the candlestick. Moreover, the text we read from
Hebrews speaks to us about 'having to give account'. We see
that little by little we are being introduced into the sanctuary
celestial so that we can understand its functioning and the
that Christ is doing there for his people from all the
ages and for us right now.

Here Christ is mentioned as the 'faithful witness and

true”, let's take a little look at this:
Hebrews 4:15 tells us: "For we do not have a high priest...
priest who cannot empathize with our
weaknesses, but one who was tempted in every way according to
our likeness, but without sin.
And this is our witness now in heaven, a witness
faithful, one who has gone through the same trials as
we went through and felt the same
weaknesses as well. One who can empathize with
us and give us the necessary help to overcome the
sin. It is through the intercession of Christ, and only through
Christ, how can human beings obtain strength and
training to abandon all sin. For whoever already
has experienced living in our flesh and has overcome in
every point is now who provides us all the help
necessary in order to achieve the same victory as
he has obtained.

Hebrews 4:16 tells us:“Let us get closer, then,

confidently to the throne of grace, to receive
mercy and find grace for timely help.

For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins; who can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.

Because every high priest taken from among the

men is constituted in favor of men in what
to God it refers, in order to present offerings and
sacrifices for sins;
2sothat it shows patience with the ignorant and
missing, since he is also surrounded by
weakness

In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him.

7And Christ, in the days of his flesh, offering prayers and supplications

supplications with great outcry and tears to the one who could deliver him
from death, was heard because of his reverent fear.
8And although he was a Son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.

obedience
9and having been perfected, he became the author of
eternal salvation for all who obey Him;
Here we see a Christ that can be "put in our
place" for it has already been in our own
circumstances. And what better Comforter than He who
understands exactly what we are going through and that
knows exactly what we need to move forward.

And we complete the idea of what Christ is doing now...

For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, which was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence.

24Because Christ did not enter the sanctuary made by hand,

figure of the true, but in the sky itself for
to present ourselves now before God;

We see the plan of salvation for humanity reflected in

the scheme of the heavenly sanctuary and what both the Father
like the Son is doing for each one of us
there.
From here we can say with perfect precision that
And this is eternal life

Knowing the sanctuary and its operation will
help us discern many deceptions and falsehoods that
they have wanted to infiltrate the people of God to

The 'firstborn of the dead'

Colossians 1:18:
18and he is the head of the body, which is the church, he who is

the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, to

that in everything he might have the preeminence;

And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind because of your evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable before him.

21And to you too, who were in another time

strangers and enemies in your mind, doing bad
works, now it has reconciled you
22in his flesh, through death, to
present yourselves holy and blameless and irreproachable before
of him;
Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

28whom we proclaim, admonishing every man, and

teaching every man in all wisdom, in order to
to present everyone perfect in Christ Jesus;

He washed us from all sin

We are not going to explain each concept in detail for each
verse, even though it would be good to do so, we are going to go to a
observation based on what has been previously read.

In Colossians it says that the believer must arrive

to be holy and blameless before him
and perfect in Christ Jesus

...to him who has

he loved us and washed us from our sins with his blood

Now, the question would be if something washed can

stay clean. And the answer would be: it depends on
how much care is taken not to get dirty.

Christ has washed us with his blood and desires that

let's stay clean but not for ourselves
we can. That is why he asks us to strip ourselves of
our garments and we dress ourselves in theirs.

1 John 1:9
9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness

Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

18Come now, says the Lord, and let us reason together: if

your sins were like scarlet, like snow
they shall be made white; if they are red like crimson,
they will come to be like white wool.
Acts 3:19

19Sorepent and turn, so that they may be

your sins are erased; so that they may come from the
presence of the Lord times of refreshing,

Christ has the power to forgive our sins, from

He forgives the lost, but his desire in us goes further.
beyond forgiving loose sins: he is willing to
carry out a complete transformation of the whole being:
He is willing to cleanse us of all evil. But
clearly, it is us who must take the
decision to let him work and produce that change. Christ
it does not force our will, but if we let it, through
from his spirit he will show us each aspect and
character trait that we must place at your feet to be
modified until their image is perfectly
reflected in each one of us.

Just as Satan is forming his own image in

those who surrender to their will through sin
deliberate and disobedience, Christ is also
forming a town that is capable of reflecting
purely its image, over which it will be possible to see with
clarity of his character. This people is who will receive the
the final outpouring of his spirit like late rain and
it will not only strengthen him to withstand what is to come
the earth but it will fully ripen the harvest
so that the message that reaches everyone goes
accompanied by power and wonderful results.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 says:

And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely;

and that your whole being, spirit, soul, and body, be
preserved irreproachable for the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ.

The sovereign of the kings of the earth

We found two references to Christ as King of kings.

and Lord of lords in the Apocalypse, which say:
Apocalypse 17:14 "They will fight against the Lamb, and the
The Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords and
King of kings; and those who are with him are called and
chosen and faithful.

He has written this name: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF

and made us kings and priests to God, His Father; to Him
glory and empire for ages of ages. Amen.

Here we see that the worship of Jehovah is highlighted for

part of them, who not only recognize him as their
God, but they join the entire universe in worshiping
the only King of heaven for all eternity.

There will be a group of human beings who, through Christ

will be converted into kings and priests for God. Kings
because they will represent the kingdom of heaven here in the
earth, and priests since they will be able to "intercede" so that
others are part of this same reign as well
through the transmission of the message of the gospel of
salvation.

Revelation 5:10:

and has made us kings and priests for our God, and
we will reign over the earth

That is why Christ is 'King of kings' not because he reigns over

every earthly king chosen by man
(besides that, of course) but because he himself has
chosen "kings", who in turn are governed by him
same for its representation in this land.

This town has a message, the message that Christ gave to it.
has transmitted and cannot silence. A message from
love and of admonition. A message of preparation and
of decision.

And they are compelled by the spirit of Christ to give it with

promptness, as each soul is so valuable in the eyes
of God who must receive all the opportunities
necessary to make an informed decision in favor or
against this message and even more when it is
closing the story of this world of sin.
The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
9The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some.
they have for delay, but rather they are patient with

let everyone proceed to repentance.
There will be a people on earth who will carry out in a loud voice the
message of giving glory to Jehová as the only and sovereign
God above all 'gods.'

Each individual that makes up Christ has

transformed into king and priest for his Father.

Reverence God and give Him glory, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.
7saying with a loud voice: Fear God, and give Him glory,
for the hour of his judgment has come; and worship him who
what the sky and the earth did, the sea and the sources of the
waters.
And in Revelation 5:12 it says:
12theysaid with a loud voice: The Lamb that was slain is
worthy of taking power, riches, wisdom, the
strength, honor, glory and praise.
Revelation 4:11

some will do it for shame and eternal destruction.
No one will cease to worship Christ as Lord of lords and
King of kings, as the just God who has manifested Himself
time and again for the salvation of his soul even if there are none
decided in your favor.
Revelation 5:13
13And to all that is created in the sky, and above the

earth, and beneath the earth, and in the sea, and to all the
things that are in them, I heard it said: To the one who is seated in

8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, says the Lord,
the one who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

Here in this text Christ is shown in all his

divinity. We see him as God of all times,
both past and present and future. Here it says 'the one who
Yes, that which was and that which is to come" let us note that it is mentioned
first the present tense. For we only
we rely on this time to make decisions.

God has no temporal limitation, He is not governed by

concepts of measuring time like beings
humans. We have called "past"
"present" and "future" to elapsed times based on
a temporal reference point according to which it
we measure and if we change that reference as well
It changes our conception of these terms. Therefore
they are only a relative way of expressing the passage
of time in our human life where everything is
tangible or measurable and therefore time as well
we have adapted to our understanding.

God is eternal, He is everlasting, exists forever and

forever. He can "move" in time because for
he has no temporal limitation. Even so, God knows that
we only have the 'present' and it invites us to
recognize him as the Almighty today.
For he says, 'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
2Because it says:
In acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold
now the acceptable time; here now is the day of
salvation.
Hebrews 3:15
15meanwhile it is said:

If you hear his voice today,

Do not harden your hearts...

I, Juan, your brother, and your co-participant in the
tribulation, in the kingdom and in the patience of Jesus Christ,
I was on the island called Patmos, because of the
word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Here Juan describes himself as a co-participant.

our in the kingdom of Jesus Christ just as we have already
mentioned earlier; and it does so from the position
as a brother, emphasizing that all those who
we share this mission and this same faith, we are children
from the same Father and therefore brothers of each other
others.
John 1:12
12But to all who received him, to those who believe in
his name, gave them the power to become children of God;
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
14Forall who are led by the Spirit of
God, these are children of God.
Juan also highlights two characteristics that they have in
common the children of God of all ages and that, by
supposedly, it will have mainly the latest generation
also

They will suffer tribulation

They will patiently keep their faith in Jesus

Tribulation

Whenever God has kept a people uplifted

to highlight the truth present in each era, it has been
also raised an opposing force in parallel
both of the visible world and the invisible one, to
neutralize those messages and divert, counteract and
destroy all good influence produced by them. This
has made (and will make) every true child of God suffer
of tribulation because of their faith.

In the patience of Jesus Christ

The word 'patience' related to the saints appears

seven times in the apocalypse. It appears as a
distinctive characteristic of the siblings of some of
the churches and also in the context of persecution and
tribulations (Rev. 2:3 - Rev. 3:10 - Rev. 13:10)

Apo. 2:2,3 as a characteristic of the church

Apo. 2:19 as a characteristic also of the
church of Thyatira
Revelation 3:10 and also of Philadelphia

Revelation 14:12: Here is the patience of the saints,

those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of
Jesus.

This word also appears in other books of the Bible.

and we are going to put only a few verses to
better understand the matter:
For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
36because patience is necessary, for what
having done the will of God, you may obtain the
promise.
James 1:3
3knowing that the testing of your faith produces

patience.
James 1:4
4But have the patience for your complete work, so that

be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 5:7-8
7Therefore, brothers, be patient until the coming

of the Lord. Behold how the farmer waits for the precious
fruit of the earth, waiting patiently until

so that it can be perfect and complete and ready for the
ready coming of the Lord.

The testimony of Jesus Christ

Juan was imprisoned on the island of Patmos for having the

testimony of Jesus Christ and preach it. Also everything
those who are part of the remnant people of God in
the end of times and has this same testimony will be
capture of fury and attacks from Satan. Just as
so were the Christians of other times who
they raised the pure standard of truth without mixture.

Revelation 12:17
17Then the dragon was filled with rage against the woman; and
he went to make war against the rest of the descendants
of her, those who keep the commandments of God and
they have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind

of me a great voice like a trumpet

The day of the Lord

To understand a little what this expression refers to

let's search in
2 Peter 3:10
10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night
night; in which the heavens will pass with great
noise, and the burning elements will be destroyed, and
the earth and the works that are in it will be burned.
Here we can understand then that it is
referring to the second coming of Christ to the earth
to seek the redeemed.

But what will happen before the appearance of our

Lord in the clouds?
2 Thessalonians 2:2-4
2that you do not let yourselves be easily swayed from your way of
think, neither be troubled, nor by spirit, nor by word,
Not by letter as if it were ours, in the sense that
The day of the Lord is near.
3Letno one deceive you in any way; for he will not come
unless the apostasy comes first, and the
man of sin, the son of perdition,
4which opposes and rises against everything that is
calls God or is an object of worship; so much so that he sits in the
temple of God as God, pretending to be God.
Pablo describes some things that must happen in the
religious plan before Christ comes back to find us and
warns of a very bold work of deception that is
will develop in which Satan will place in
the functioning of a whole religious system to exalt itself
himself instead of Christ.

and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet

Here John is taken in vision by God to the scenes of

the second coming of Christ to the earth and at the moment
I need to start contemplating the scene.
a powerful voice captivated her attention that
resonates behind you

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last.
last. Write in a book what you see, and send it to the
seven churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus, Smyrna,
Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea.

The Alpha and the Omega:

Alpha is the first letter of the Greek alphabet and omega the last.
last. May Christ identify with these two letters
it means that before Him there is no one, nor will there be
nor after Him.

In Revelation 1:8, as we have seen, Christ says that He is

It also appears in Rev. 21:6 in the context of the conclusion.

of the grace period and the second coming of Christ
And in Revelation 22:13 it says, 'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the'

beginning and the end, the first and the last also in the
context of his/her soon return.

Also in Rev. 1:11.–Rev. 1:17 (the first and the last)

Juan then hears the voice of Jesus, who tells him that
Write the messages for each of the seven churches.
These messages are descriptions made by a God
who knows the condition of his people. Here Juan stops
side what was about to see in front of you and no longer describes
that scene (for now) but take these messages and
he writes them in the way he receives them. Each one of
these letters contain very interesting parameters that
we will be studying.

Just before his coming, and based on everything

What will be happening in the religious realm, Christ desires
that all the Churches that make up their people
listen to the strong voice of warning to obtain the
salvation. But this is not only a reality for the end
of time but the interest of our loving Father
that every human being of all ages may be saved,
for which this same message to the churches has been
valid for the history of Christianity throughout
all its development.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me; and
I turned back and saw seven golden candlesticks,

Then Juan turns around to see who he was talking to,

and when turning around, he sees not only This one but an entire

scene around her that begins to describe

Seven golden candlesticks:

What do these candlesticks represent? The verse from Revelation.
(...) and the seven candlesticks that you have seen are
the seven churches.

He who once walked this land in form

A human being being a light to their peers said, 'I am'
the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in
darkness, but will have the light of life." John 8:12

Christ is now in the heavenly sanctuary in the midst of

the Churches imparting their own spirit to them, like the
oil that burns in the candle holders, so that the light that
from them radiates to the world guide the steps of those who
they are in darkness towards the path of salvation.
Just as He has done, we must do.

Matthew 5:14 says: "You are the light of the world; a

A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Exodus 27:20
20And you shall command the children of Israel to bring you oil
pure crushed olives, for lighting, for
to keep the lamps burning continuously.

Thus, at every stage of human history there has been a

people that has maintained and upheld the truth and has
served as a light to the world about the true God.
For thus has the Lord commanded us, saying: I have
a place for the light of the Gentiles, so that you may be for
salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47
This has been the mission of the Church in every time, and it is.
now also, and it will always be: To prepare a people
on which Christ can fully reflect his
image.
This is our personal mission: To let Christ
open through your spirit in our life in such a way
that He may live in us and that our life may
fully reflect it.
Isaiah 60:1 and 2: "Arise, shine; for your light has come;
come your fire, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon
you.2For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and
darkness the people: but upon you Jehovah will rise,
About you, your glory will be seen.

13 and in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like to the

Son of Man, dressed in clothes that reached up to
the feet, and tightened around the chest with a gold belt.

Son of Man

This verse reminds us of Daniel 10 where Daniel sees

a 'one like a son of man' (Verses 16 and 18)
in a vision that is presented to him to let him know
what is to come to the village in the last days (V.14)

Here Jesus is presented as "son of man."

expression that also appears in Daniel 7:13 and
Revelation 14:14 in all cases under the context of
the work of intercession that Christ is carrying out in the
heavenly sanctuary particularly in the latter days.
Hebrews 4:15 says: 'For we do not have a high priest...
priest who cannot feel sympathy for our
weaknesses, but one who was tempted in all things according to
our likeness, but without sin.

We mentioned this verse when we saw the

Christ as the 'faithful and true witness' would be good
review this point which has other passages of the same
application such as Hebrews 5:1 and 2, among
other exposed.

Dress made of a fabric that reached down to the feet, and fitted
across the chest with a golden belt.

Here we find a detail in the garments.

interesting: In Exodus 28:1 to 39 we are described how
the high priest was to dress in order to officiate in the
earthly sanctuary, but when comparing this clothing with
the one described in Revelation 1:13 we see that differs in the
that Christ is dressed.

But if we look closely, Leviticus 16:4 tells us that in

On the occasion of the 'Day of Atonement', the high priest had to
to dress only in a linen tunic cinched by a
belt.

As we have already seen, Christ is our high priest.

priest, (see Hebrews chapters 4, 5, 8) who is
officiating in the heavenly sanctuary
Hebrews 8:1,2: Now, the main point of what
we have such a high priest,
who sat at the right hand of the throne of Majesty in the
heavens,
2minister of the sanctuary, and of that true one
the tabernacle that the Lord raised, and not man.

Then we can understand in this scene that Juan sees,

Christ dressed as the High Priest with the garments
used on the Day of Atonement. He sees it here in the middle
of the seven churches.

Regarding the clothing worn by the high priests.

earthly on the occasion of the day of atonement (Lev. 16:1 to
4) and that which Christ wears regarding the same office
we noticed a difference: The earthly beings had to wear a
tunic and a linen belt. And Christ wears a white tunic
and a golden belt. We can see this in Daniel 7:9
example.

Let's see what Mark 9:1 to 3 says

He also said to them: (speaking to the disciples) Truly

I tell you that there are some of those who are here, who do not
they will like death until they have seen the kingdom of
God has come with power.
2Six days later, Jesus took Peter, James, and
Juan, and he took them aside alone to a high mountain; and he
transfigured before them.
3And their dresses became radiant, very
whites, like snow, so much that no washer in the
earth can make them so white.

Here Jesus fulfills what he promised to the disciples of

that some of them were not going to die before being able to
see it with power and with its kingdom. It does not say in the verse
that they were not going to die to be taken to heaven but that they were not
they would go to rest without seeing Christ taking his kingdom. It is

then they see Christ in white garments

shining in the scene. Then Peter, James
and John (three of the disciples) can see the same
scene that Daniel sees and describes in 7:9 where it says:
I was watching until thrones were set up, and they
an Elder of days sat, whose garment was white as
the snow...

The robe of the earthly high priests being of

linen was yellowish-gray in color, while that of
the Great Celestial High Priest is white in color
immaculate. This represents an officiant who, although was
tempted in every way, he has committed no sin.

And the belt, which represents the willingness to serve or to

action, in the case of Christ is not of linen like the high priest
earthly priests, but of pure gold, which
represents the greatest disposition and work ever done in
favor of the human race by someone.

Next, it gives us a complete description for

let there be no doubt about who this supreme being is
priest, since many when reading your description in the
Book of Daniel they believe it is about the Father, let's see
firstly the complete description in Revelation
to then compare it with Daniel's and understand from
who is speaking. Then we will analyze in more detail

His head and his hair were white as snow.

hair like snow; her eyes like flames of fire;

and his feet like polished bronze, shining
like in an oven; and his voice like the roar of many
waters.

He had seven stars in his right hand; from his mouth came a

sharp two-edged sword; and his face was like the sun
when it shines in its strength.
17
When I saw him, I fell dead at his feet. And he put his
right over me, saying: Do not be afraid; I am the
first and the last;
18 and the one who lives, and was dead; behold, I am alive
for ages of ages, Amen. And I have the keys of the
death and of Hades.
19 Write down the things you have seen, and the ones that are, and the ones that

they see after these.
