Annual project: art, its materials and its techniques.
Garden 901 Pinocchio
Duration: from April to December
Teacher: Cecilia Moreda
Section: 3rd section - morning and afternoon shift
Recipients: students from 5-year-old classrooms in both shifts
Foundation:
Art is a form of communication where ideas, feelings, and emotions are expressed. With this project, we ...
we propose to introduce children to the knowledge of different art techniques, as well as the knowledge of
some plastic artists who use them as inspiration for their own productions.
P. Final: exhibition of the artworks.
Capabilities:
Communication.
I work with others.
Learning to learn
Scope of Experience:
Of aesthetic experiences.
Contents:
Representation in two-dimensional space
Representation in three-dimensional space.
Explore the environment with sight and touch to identify textures
Know plastic-visual productions of artists who have worked on the same theme.
Activities:
This project will be carried out in the following way: each month, a different technique will be used.
Figure - Ground
Images of various artists will be presented, including: Joan Miró, Kandinsky, and John Bramblint. There will be commentary.
the observed, and what colors they use. There will be a discussion about the backgrounds: what colors do they observe?
A background will be made with blue tempera. Then, they will be asked on a separate sheet to draw freely.
They will be asked to create a multicolored background with tempera paints. Later, at another opportunity, it will be presented.
the outline of a face and the parts that make it up so they can assemble it. It will be cut out and glued on
previously created fund.
A sealing background of geometric shapes will be created. Then, on a separate sheet, they will be asked to make a portrait.
this time, they will have to draw it (they will be given with the outline of the face drawn). It will be cut out and glued on
the bottom.
On this occasion, you will be given a sheet to make a portrait (you will also have to draw the
head). Once finished, they will be asked to paint the background with watercolors.
Drip: This technique will be performed by the resident, although the planning is presented in case we do not have one.
Works by Pollock will be presented. Observations will be discussed.
Closed 600cc bottles will be presented (the cap will have holes). They will contain diluted tempera paints.
Among all of us, we will create a work.
Cardboard will be provided so that groups of 3 or 4 children can create a background: dripping with colored glue.
Individually, we will propose to draw inspiration from Pollock to create, with watery tempera and brushes, a
background.
Muralism:
Reproductions of works by different muralists will be hung on the walls: Elizabeth Aguillón, Bansky,
Leon Keer, etc.
Students will be able to observe them and discuss what they have seen.
¿son todos iguales?, ¿Dónde pintaran esos artstas?, ¿Qué colores ven en la obra? ¿Cuáles predominan?
What do you think of it? What does it convey to you, what feeling do you get when you see this painting? Are there mixed colors?
What tools do you think the painter used to create that painting?
In groups, the students will create a drawing inspired by Elisabeth Aguilón and León Keer (both work with
color). The arrangement of the sheets will be on the wall, using poster paper as support, drawing with
colored temperas.
From 2 to 3, it is painted on large cansón sheets (number 6) on the ground. The drawings are made with brushes and
black tempera. The inspiration will be the works of Banksy. Then, they will be asked to add color details.
like the artist. They will do this with watercolors.
Individually on a blank A4 sheet, a background will be created. Then, they will draw the human figure that
They will draw on another sheet, cut them out, and paste them onto the background.
Spatulated:
Works by Quinquela Martin will be observed. Conversation about the works and the technique used.
It will be proposed to meet in groups of 2 or 3 and be inspired by the artist to create a background. They will be provided as
tool a popsicle stick to simulate the spatula. Then, they will draw by agreeing on what
they will make it and then they will cut and paste it.
This time, individually, a work will be proposed, but this time the tempera will be thickened with
cornstarch and spatula.
Again individually, a work will be proposed, but this time, instead of doing it on a sheet, it
will be carried out on a piece of canvas.
Watercolors:
Various works by the artist Xul Solar will be presented. A video will be sent to get to know him a little better.
will ask:
¿Qué le gustaba dibujar? - ¿Con qué le gustaba pintar? - ¿Dónde vivía? - ¿Qué le gustaba inventar? Se les
he will propose that on a sheet cut in half they draw a house: it can be each child's, or one
invented. And paint it.
It will be proposed that, just as Xul Solar created cities like the houses in his neighborhood ('High Houses'), they
it will be proposed that, just as the artist drew his neighborhood, they will be proposed to draw their neighborhood. They will do this in
a sheet of A4
This time, they will be asked to draw an imaginary neighborhood, just as the artist used to draw. But for that, they will need to...
you can use a larger sheet. It can be a cardboard, a Canson paper size 5 or 6, or stick 2 sheets together.
Collage/ mixed technique
We know some reference artists of this technique: Berni, Hanoch Piven, Jesus Ortiz, etc.
We talked about his art. What elements does the painter use?
We observe and describe the different works of art: Look closely at each work and consider
various questions: - What elements are there? - How are they?
From observation: searching and exploring different materials and tools to produce works.
From the two students on sheet number 6 and presenting them with different materials, they will produce the

Each student will draw themselves with a black marker, then using some material of their choice they will represent a production.

Cut and use detail:
Observation of images of works by Antonio Gaudí.
Brief bibliography.
We will watch videos about it.
Each child individually will tear wrapping paper and paste it to create a figurative or non-figurative work.
This time, they will present patterns for cutting and tissue paper. In pairs, they will have to create a figurative work or
no figure with those cut papers
They will cut container papers and then, individually, they will create a work.
Landscaping:
Landscapes by different artists will be displayed, including: Van Gogh, Molina Campos, Monet, etc.
Conversation about these paintings. The teacher will talk to them about the horizon line where it is divided.

Emphasizing the paintings of Molina Campos, it will be proposed to create a mural together for

gauchos, paisanas, etc. will be assembled and hung as a display.
A landscape will be created in pairs. Then, they will make a drawing that they will cut out and glue.
It will be proposed to create a landscape individually. Then, on a separate sheet, they will make a drawing, the

P. Final:
Group works will be exhibited, in pairs and at least one individual piece, and families will be invited to the
exhibition.
Progress indicators:
Transfer the learned procedures to other similar experiences.
Participate in tasks individually.
