Peer Review Guide for Bilingual Redesign
Directions
Use the following questions to guide you in giving peer review feedback to your peer/s.
These questions are based on the assignment prompt and grading criteria for the Literature
Review project.
For each item listed below, answer the questions in the space provided. Then, write at least
2 comments per category in your peers’ drafts to help them implement or understand the
feedback that you’ve shared here. The comments can be constructive criticism, suggestions,
reactions, and/or praise.
When you’re finished, there should be at least 6 substantial comments written in each of your
peers’ drafts (in addition to the summaries you wrote in this guide).
1) Re-Use of Content: The English text draws on at least some of the research from the
author’s literature review assignment (Objective 1D, 2E)
Does the text draw on research? If so, how meaningful are these overlaps and
differences? Do they help readers understand the issue in a complex way? Is there a
sufficient amount of synthesis, or does the paper rely more on a series of summaries?
Are there any suggestions for revisions in this area?
Feedback: The text effectively draws on research. The overlaps and differences are
meaningful because they provide insight into how resilience can mitigate fear. The article
balances well between synthesis and summary. However, the author could have
provided some additional direct citations in the text.
2) Genre Content: The English text provides content that is appropriate to the audience and
purpose (Objective 1E, 2F)
Who is the target audience and purpose for the English-language text? (You should see
this in the original post by the author.) Is the English-language content appropriate for
the target audience and purpose? If yes, how? If not, what adjustments could be made?

Feedback The author does not mention the intended audience nor the purpose of the article,
but it can be seen that the author's intended audience is individuals interested in psychology
and mental health experts. The content is suitable for this audience because it discusses
complex psychological concepts in an accessible way. However, the author can provide some
additional data or evidence from sources to make the article more specific and clear.
3) Genre Form: The English text responds effectively to the audiences and purposes
identified, in terms of structure, medium, design, formality, word choice, and style (Objective
3D)

Feedback: The choice of language is formal, making the text suitable for an academic or
professional audience - the author's intended audience. The article has a reasonable
structure, the paragraph titles highlight the main idea as well as make the content of the
entire article easier to grasp. Authors can use additional bullet points to make the
content more visible and accessible to readers.
Non-English language text
If you are able to read your peers’ non-English language draft, add feedback here on
what they did well and also how they might improve it.
Feedback: Non-English blog post is written in Chinese so I cannot guarantee a deep and specific
understanding of the entire article. But overall, the article has provided clear and
multidimensional aspects of psychological resilience in enhancing performance quality. In
addition, the article is also divided into short paragraphs, making it easier for readers to grasp
the content.
