Job Description and Duties

Working Conditions
Maintains the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy. The
incumbent is required to wear respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA). As such CAL/OSHA requires the incumbent to be annually
medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment. May be required to
work nights, weekends or holidays in support of emergency incidents. The Unit expects a
two-year commitment for all permanent assignments before granting transfer eligibility.

Special Requirements
FELONY DISCLOSURE
Pursuant to California Penal Code 4571, any individual interested in seeking employment who

on the Conservation Camp/Prison grounds. Any person/employee that has been convicted of

PREA INFORMATION
Positions located at a Camp or requiring the supervision of inmates requires compliance with
the Prison Rape Elimination Act. Compliance is determined by completing a Live Scan prior to
appointment and during the course of employment to verify the standards of the Code of
Federal Regulations Part 115 Prison Rape Elimination Act National Standards are met.

This classification is eligible for the following pay:

$4872 - $6017 Range A Base Salary (paid every month)


$5347 - $6606 Range B Base Salary (paid every month)
$2420 - $2998 Range A Extended Duty Week Compensation (paid every 4 weeks)
$2656 - $3281 Range B Extended Duty Week Compensation (paid every 4 weeks)

In addition to the above pay items, employees are eligible for medical benefits (health,
dental, vision) and may be eligible for other pay differentials.
