Today, we worked with the didactic situation 'Discovering Colors', the students,
Previously, they had already had a class where they worked with colors.
INFORMATION:
The colors we would work with this time are the primary colors (red,
yellow and blue), I showed the children some images of animated characters that
they are of these colors, so that they would remember them more easily.
Put the images one by one, and when I placed them, I told them to observe in the room, the
objects that you could find of the same colors that I was showing them, here they are
children made comments that they saw colors in the painting of the classroom, in the
curtains, on the furniture, and on the little grasses that cover their tables.
After observing these colors, I mentioned to them that these colors belong to the group
of primary colors.
Later I asked them if they thought that by mixing 2 of these colors we could
get a new color, some answered yes, and others no, I told them that we would do it.
an experiment to test whether we could discover a new color starting from
the primary colors.
We started the experiment to find out what color could result if we mixed the
yellow with red, to make it more interesting I put on my right hand color
yellow and on the left red, I told them I was going to rub my hands and upon opening them
we would observe what had happened.
The children were very surprised to see that by joining their hands they had discovered the
orange color.
Then I had 2 children mix blue and yellow, and red with their hands.
with the blue, when they rubbed their hands and showed them, they discovered that they had obtained
green and purple colors.
I mentioned to them that this could happen whenever they wanted to mix primary colors, or
use other colors to mix but this time we only work with the colors
primary.
PROCESS
After observing what happened when mixing colors, we gave each child...
on a small plate, blue-yellow, red-yellow and blue-red paints, as well as a cotton swab so that
they could make the paint mixtures.
I told them that when they obtained the color that resulted from their mixtures, they would become
artists of works of art, and who could capture what they were feeling in the
moment, emphasizing that the colors we use are vibrant, cheerful colors,
that transmit happiness to us, but only if we let our imagination soar.
PRODUCTS
We gave the children a little piece of cardstock, on which they could draw and
to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings, in the end we obtained very creations
beautiful works of the children, in which they discovered and used primary colors.
Most children really enjoy using paint and when they were
they put a lot of effort into creating their artwork, some made flowers,
other stars, some girls made dolls, and some that looked like scribbles, in front of
our eyes, for them, were cars, transformers, or things they imagined, what
we found it very interesting, because just like some artists, each child painted for us
he explained what was in his painting.
In the end, we gathered all the works and combined them as a collage, where we will be able to
To observe that all the works together show us a different piece.
