The Dignities of Christ
The Dignities of Christ
Dignity is
the quality of worthy which means valuable, honorable, deserving. Position
a position of honor and authority.
There were 3 main offices in Israel: Prophet, Priest, King.
which anticipated the function of Christ
Jesus is a priest
The Priests were the representatives of Jehovah before the people and the
in charge of instructing them about Him and His laws. In turn, they acted
as mediators, they represented the people before God through the
presentation of sacrifices, intercessions, and supplications.
Jesus Christ is our High Priest, He is the only one now
intercede for us before the Father. He bears on his shoulders the
the sin of each one of us and our name engraved in his
heart.
No one can claim this honor: God is the one who calls, as in the case
from Aaron. Christ did not confer upon himself the dignity of high priest either.
priest, but he who said to him: "You are a priest forever, according to
the rite of Melchizedek.
Jesus Christ can present himself before the Father and plead for his brothers.
the men.
He is the true, the only, the 'High Priest according to the order of'
Melchizedek" where Jesus entered for us as
precursor, made, according to the order of Melchizedek, high
priest forever” (Hebrews 6:20).
Authentic donkey "mediator between God and men" (1 Tim 2,
5), as explained in the Catechism (1544-1545).
Christ intercedes for us. Who is the one who will condemn? Christ.
he who died; moreover, he who also resurrected, who furthermore is on
the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Rom 8:34
Jesus is King
The king was chosen by God, and it was his duty to govern and
to take care of the people.
Jesus is king or he is the anointed one (the Christ or the Messiah). Jesus was clear.
awareness of being the only begotten Son of the Father, the expected Messiah, the
Savior of the world. "You have said it, I am king," Jesus says to.
Pontius Pilate (Mt 27:11).
God has sent His Word to the Israelites giving them a message of peace
through Jesus, the Messiah, who is also the Lord of all" (Acts
10, 36).
Christ is King and Lord of the Universe. For having been obedient
until death and having become a servant of all, was
exalted by the Father, who subjected all things to Him.
Jesus is King, although his royalty has nothing to do with the
the concept of king that we have and see in the human realm;
Jesus said well: "My kingdom is not of this world (Jn 18: 36)."
And Saint Peter recognizes, by divine inspiration, that Jesus is the Messiah
even though I had initially not understood what the royalty of Jesus was like:
You are the Christ (the Messiah, the King), the Son of the living God (Mt, 16:13).
Jesus is a king who has come to serve and we recognize his dignity.
really when we call Jesus LORD. And he must reign over
all areas of our lives: material and spiritual.

save.

in the name of Jesus" all in heaven and on earth bow down, and
every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of
God the Father.

and of Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead and the
sovereign of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has freed us from
our sins with his blood,
Revelation 17:14 is the only one that will prevail for eternity.

headbands, and it has a name written that no one knows except Him. And
he is dressed in a cloak soaked in blood, and his name is: The
Word of God.

accepts bribes.
