PRODUCT OVERVIEW

IRODUR SULUFIX 4T

MATERAL PROPOSED : LINAGARD BB

HARDNESS : 55± IRHD
MANUFACTURER : LINATEX
THICKNESS : 5 MM
HOT BONDING AND COLD BONDING
HOT BONDING- USING UNCURE COLD BONDING USING CURED
RUBBER RUBBER

ADVANTAGES ADVANTAGES
• More tolerant of poor substrates • Factory of cure rubber conditions
conditions • Better rubber performance
• Lower application skill consistent rubber thickness
• More consistent and relatively • Easier to perform bonding work
higher bond strength except open and repair onsite
steam curing • No issue with self life of cured
sheet.
DISADVANTAGES
• Less control of curing DISADVANTAGES
• Need steam available onsite • Higher application skills
• Limited shelf life of uncured • Require more attention to details
rubber sheet requires refrigerant • Relative lower bond but adequate
during storage for general tank lining.

BLASTING CLEANING

Surface preparation : SA 2.5

The vessel should be in free gas condition and clean from any deposit such as oil, water and etc.

Inspect all the blasting equipment, PPE and abrasive to ensure a good quality of surface preparation can be achieved and
free from deposit as oil, water and etc.

Dry blast cleaning shall not be carried out when the surface to be blasted is less than 3ºC above the dew point or when the
relative humidity of air is greater than 85%. Where coating becomes prohibitive due to time constrains etc., already blasted
surfaces shall be shop primed. The shop primer shall be blasted off completely prior to application of the specified coating.
Note: Refer PTS 30.48.00.31P

Surface blast cleaned but not coated the same day shall be swept blast clean to a bright finish with fresh light blast cleaning
before coating. Coating of surface shall only be performed during daylight hours unless specifically approved otherwise by
client representative.

After the completion of blasting, visually inspect the surface for profile confirmation and check the surface profile using
surface profile gauge. The average profile shall be 30 - 60 microns.

Clean the surface from any dust or foreign material completed by mechanical or manual means.

Blasted steel surface should be primed within 4 hours. Blasted surface left uncoated overnight/24 hours should be re-blast
or power tool or light sand down before painting.
