Lay the body so that the eyes and belly will be on the right side and facing away (pic 5). Insert
your hook in the last front loop of round 16. Pick up the Cream (04) yarn and pull it through.
Make the next combination: (chain 4, slst in next 2 front loops), repeat it 20 times (pic 6-8).
Chain 4, slst in last and first front loops.
Cut the yarn, fasten off.

BEAK
Use a hook 2.5 mm, work with Dark Orange (26) color.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr, slst in first st (6)
Rnd 2: ch 1, sc around, slst in first st (6)

Cut the yarn, invisible fasten off.

Now we are going to connect two pieces together (pic 12).

Rnd 1: Insert your hook from the wrong side of the right piece out to the left piece (pic 13). Pick
up the yarn and pull it through. Chain 1, sc in the same connecting stitch of the left piece (count
this stitch as the first stitch of round 1, put your stitch marker here (pic 14)), sc in next 8 st around the
left piece. Then continue to crochet around the right piece: 9 sc [18]
Rnd 2: (dec, 4 sc) x3 (15)
Rnd 3: (dec, 3 sc) x3 [12]

Stuff the comb lightly (pic 15).
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for closing.
Invisible fasten off (in the same way as we’ve closed the body).

TAIL
Use a hook 2.5 mm, work with Lilac (63) color
First and second piece:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 (9)
Rnd 3-4: sc around (9), 2 rounds
Cut the yarn, invisible fasten off (pic 10-11).

Now we are going to connect two pieces together.

Rnd 1: Insert your hook from the wrong side of the right piece out to the left piece. Pick up the
yarn and pull it through. Chain 1, sc in the connecting stitch of the left piece (count this stitch as
the first stitch of round 1, put your stitch marker here), sc in next 8 st around the left piece. Then
continue to crochet around the right piece: 9 sc [18]
Rnd 2: sc around (18)
Rnd 3: (dec, 4 sc) x3 (15)
Rnd 4: (dec, 3 sc) x3 (12)
Rnd 5: (dec, 2 sc) x3 (9)
Stuff the tail lightly.
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for closing (pic 16).

WATTLE
Use a hook 2.5 mm, work with Lilac (63) color.
Chain 8. Make sure that your chains are not twisted.
Rnd 1: start in second chain from the hook: 3 hdc in this stitch, sc in next 2 st, slst in next st,
sc in next 2 st, 3 hdc in last st (pic 17).
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing. Use the needle, bring the tail of yarn to the middle of
the wattle.

WINGS (make 2)
Use a hook 2.5 mm, work with Rose (44) color.

Don’t cut the yarn, we’re going to crochet the feathers.
Chain 2, start in the second chain from hook: slst. It would be the first feather (pic 18-19).
Then fold the circle in half, crochet a sc across the first and last stitch (pic 20).
Again, chain 2, start in the second chain from the hook: slst, sc in next st, repeat it 11 times
(pic 21).
Cut the yarn, leaving a tail for sewing.
For the second wing, use the needle, bring the tail of the yarn in the opposite of the wing.

ASSEMBLING
-​ Sew the beak between the eyes and round 10 and 14 (pic 24).
-​ Place the wattle below the beak and sew the wattle to the head. You should sew it
only on the top (pic 25).
-​ Sew the comb on the top of the head (pic 26).
-​ Place the tail on the back side of the body and sew it between round 25 and 27 (pic
27-28).
-​ Place the wings in diagonal. You should sew it to the body only on the top of the wing
(pic 29-30) .
-​ At last, use the pink thread, embroider the cheeks below the eyes (pic 31).

Eggs (small)
Use a hook 2,5 mm, work with white (01), Lilac (63), Sunflower (24), Rose (44) colors.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in mr (6)
Rnd 2: (sc, inc) x3 (9)
Rnd 3: (2 sc, inc) x3 (12)
