MY TOPIC : CLASSIFICATION OF COMMERCE
Commerce can be classified into two categories,
1. Trade , 2. Aid to trade

Trade : purchase and sale of goods and services is called trade. It is essential part
of the commerce. Trade helps in transferring goods from producer to consumer. Now
a days goods are produced large scale so it will not possible to producer to contact
consumer to sale of goods . In this way some businessmen ,engaged in trade , who
make goods available to consumer in different market. Without trade the large
scale of goods producing is not easy.
Trade may be divided as : 1.Internal trade, 2.External trade.
• Internal trade: The purchase and sale of goods and services
inside the country is called internal trade.
Buying or selling of goods and services takes
Place within the geographical boundaries of
of country.
Internal trade may be of two types: wholesale trade and Retail trade.
• External trade : Trade between two or more nations is
called foreign trade or international trade. This involves the
exchange of goods and services between the citizens of two
nations. For ex, India’s trade with USA, Japan, UK etc....
External trade classified three types,
• Import trade
• Export trade
• Entrepot trade
2. AID OR AUXILIARIES TO TRADE
Auxiliaries to business means activities which assist business
and trade. They provide proper infrastructure for the smooth
conduct of businessand removing the obstacles in the exchange of
goods and services. The business infrastructures are
transport,banking, warehousing,insurance, insurance,financing ect…

• Banking and Financing
• Warehousing
• Advertising
• Insurance
