NATURE OF CASE INCIDENT: Armed Robbery (Pawnshop Heist)

DATE/TIME OF OCCURRENCE: February 26, 2025 / 9:00 a.m.

PLACE OF OCCURRENCE: Hannah’s Pawnshop, Ilustre Street, Barangay 5-


A, Poblacion District, Davao City

FACTS OF THE CASE:

That on or about 9:00 a.m. of February 26, 2025, this office received a
complaint regarding an armed robbery incident at Hannah’s Pawnshop,
Ilustre Street, Barangay 5-A, Davao City. Initial investigation was conducted
by [Investigating Officer’s Rank & Name], revealing that on the above-
mentioned date and place, pawnshop employee herein referred to as “Cindy”
(female, legal age, staff), together with a security guard, were inside the
establishment when three unidentified armed suspects entered, shouted
“Dapa! Dapa!” (lie down), and ordered them to surrender.

The suspects smashed the jewelry display cases using a hammer and carted
away assorted gold and diamond jewelry, including branded watches.
Estimated losses are still being assessed by management. The security
guard was held at gunpoint, and the employee sustained minor abrasions
when forced to the ground

After the incident, the suspects fled aboard a silver Toyota Innova and a
motorcycle towards the Bankerohan area. Responding personnel conducted a
hot pursuit operation, which led to the arrest of one suspect, Johnny Dehito
Bulawan, a resident of Albuera, Leyte. Recovered from his possession were
one (1) M16 rifle, one (1) 9mm pistol, ammunition, and a bag containing the
stolen jewelry.

Follow-up investigation identified other suspects: Jimmy “Jerome” Calo, Jade


Lasula Dadang, alias “Rodolfo,” alias “Jack,” and two unidentified
companions. A silver Toyota Innova used in the escape was later recovered in
Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental. The case was recorded and referred for
inquest proceedings for Robbery with Violence and Intimidation (Art. 294,
RPC). Investigation for the remaining suspects is ongoing.
