YOUNG PEOPLE COMMITTED TO GOD

(PRACTICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE)

YOUNG PEOPLE WITH A TRUE

COMMITMENT TO GOD
Sermon for youth, commitment to God

I hope this written Christian sermon is useful and a blessing for your life.
We will start by reading what the Bible says in Matthew 16:24: "Then Jesus said to his disciples"
disciples: if anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and
"Follow me" (Matthew 16:24)

The Lack of Commitment to God is a Great Enemy.

Many times as young Christians, we wish to live life according to our
own desires and conformities. One of the great enemies for the youth, in these
Times, it is the lack of commitment to serve God with all desire and fidelity, which
us takes a to weaken our life spiritual.

Commitment is a responsibility undertaken through an agreement, a pact, or a

promise. If we apply it in our secular life, the most common example may be the
work. When we decide to enter a job area, our commitment is to comply
all the requirements to obtain a positive result.

We can say that one of those commitments is to arrive early at the workplace to
thus be able to fulfill all our duties and, consequently, receive the salary that
we deserve. Otherwise, it is impossible to receive the reward for the hard work that
we have done. (You may also be interested in: Young person, Christ is looking for you)

Likewise, we must take on our responsibilities that are given to us when

we serve God. There are young people who are emotional or momentary; perhaps many times
when God speaks through His word, we make the decision to follow His will
planning and imagining the great victory we will achieve in the end; but when
the difficulties and obstacles begin, we set that commitment aside and forget
that victory that God has promised us.

Many times we long to serve the Lord from our own perspectives, wanting to
great ministries, but we do not want to pay the price of giving our time,
our lives and our own will. (I also invite you to read:Christian Courtship)

David is an example of commitment to God

A clear example is shown in the story of David (1 Samuel 16). He was a young man who
he simply led a flock of sheep for his father and ended up being used by God
for His honor and glory.

King Saul, who was king before David, was a person full of talents and anointed as
king; but this man turned away from the Lord and his blessing was taken away. On the other hand,
David, who was solitary and despised by his family, decided to dedicate his life to God.
with all my heart; worshipping and glorifying Him in intimacy.

Seeing the heart of David, God decided to use it to kill the giant Goliath (1 Samuel 17).
Later we see that the same people began to follow him for the victories that he
he had together with them, later David ascended to the throne as king of Israel, a sign of
that God rewarded him for his faithfulness, loyalty, and commitment.

There are many of our young people like King David; they have talents and are called to
to serve in his work, but unlike David, they do not want to pay the price of commitment.
Jesus asked us in Matthew 16:24 that anyone who wants to be his disciple must deny themselves
himself, will take up his cross and follow him

Steps for a true commitment to God

A true commitment requires the following steps to be used by the Lord:

Decision to be faithful to God regardless of circumstances, authority, and self-control to

to be able to confront our fears, courage to stand firm in the place he puts us,
love and passion to rescue lost souls, and above all faith; that trust that
God will help us overcome all the obstacles and trials that will come upon us.
us.

Once we develop these steps, be assured that Jesus will open all doors for us.
doors to start fulfilling that perfect purpose he had with us since
long before we could imagine it.
