Sermon For The Youth
Sermon For The Youth
I hope this written Christian sermon is useful and a blessing for your life.
We will start by reading what the Bible says in Matthew 16:24: "Then Jesus said to his disciples"
disciples: if anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and
"Follow me" (Matthew 16:24)
We can say that one of those commitments is to arrive early at the workplace to
thus be able to fulfill all our duties and, consequently, receive the salary that
we deserve. Otherwise, it is impossible to receive the reward for the hard work that
we have done. (You may also be interested in: Young person, Christ is looking for you)
Many times we long to serve the Lord from our own perspectives, wanting to
great ministries, but we do not want to pay the price of giving our time,
our lives and our own will. (I also invite you to read:Christian Courtship)
A clear example is shown in the story of David (1 Samuel 16). He was a young man who
he simply led a flock of sheep for his father and ended up being used by God
for His honor and glory.
King Saul, who was king before David, was a person full of talents and anointed as
king; but this man turned away from the Lord and his blessing was taken away. On the other hand,
David, who was solitary and despised by his family, decided to dedicate his life to God.
with all my heart; worshipping and glorifying Him in intimacy.
Seeing the heart of David, God decided to use it to kill the giant Goliath (1 Samuel 17).
Later we see that the same people began to follow him for the victories that he
he had together with them, later David ascended to the throne as king of Israel, a sign of
that God rewarded him for his faithfulness, loyalty, and commitment.
There are many of our young people like King David; they have talents and are called to
to serve in his work, but unlike David, they do not want to pay the price of commitment.
Jesus asked us in Matthew 16:24 that anyone who wants to be his disciple must deny themselves
himself, will take up his cross and follow him
Once we develop these steps, be assured that Jesus will open all doors for us.
doors to start fulfilling that perfect purpose he had with us since
long before we could imagine it.
