Introduction
The following project encompasses scientific knowledge that has been acquired
during the study phase, those that have been developed in this project
of research. This project profile is made up of different
parts that were developed throughout the entire stage that lasted this
research.
On a motorcycle, as with any vehicle, it is necessary to carry out the
periodic preventive maintenance to avoid unexpected malfunctions
which can cause unfortunate accidents. This maintenance consists of
a quick inspection, which is to visually check the components of the
motorcycle starting from the front (front wheel, lights, brake, system of
feeding and escape) backwards (brake system, transmission system,
electric system, etc.).
The proposed and developed proposal is based on the implementation of
preventive and corrective maintenance on a motorcycle, commonly
known in Spanish as the abbreviation moto, is a two-wheeled vehicle,
driven by a motor that powers the rear wheel. The chassis and the wheels
they constitute the fundamental structure of the vehicle. The steering wheel is the
front. They can carry up to two people.
Motorcycles are one of the most used means of transportation.

accessible. However, like any other means of transport, it must be

maintenance for optimal operation of the machine and its
components.
Preventive maintenance is the best way to extend the lifespan of
the motorcycle, this is why it is of utmost importance to know and analyze the
functioning of each of the parts.
In Bolivia, in the city of La Paz, we currently have varieties of
types of motorcycles and various brands, both original ones which are
Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and others, also Chinese motorcycles like Pegasus.
Himalaya Phoenix Montero Usm and others. The most purchased motorcycles by
the customers are the Chinese motorcycles and here they are cheaper
These motorcycles are generally acquired for work and leisure use.
the others while the originals are for competitive use or are used
for long trips or for official use.
In recent years, there has been an even greater increase in motorcycles.
This is due to the modest price it has, just as it increased.
requires people who are capable of performing proper maintenance
so that both the brake system and the system function correctly
electric and the motor itself.
Background:
In the year 2018 in the city of Valparaíso - Chile the applicant INOSTROZA
GONZALEZ proposed the proposal of maintenance improvement for
Yamaha FZ 16 motorcycle using management tools
operations. This work is currently part of the physical repository and
digital of the University of Federico De Santa María.
In the year 2019 in the city of Quito-Peru, the applicant Valenzuela Tomaló
We propose a management and control system for maintenance of the
motorcycles from the company telconet. This work is currently part of
from the physical and digital repository of the Israel University.
Description of the object of study:
The Phantoom 250cc motorcycle is a gasoline bike with a system.
conventional 4-stroke just like other Chinese motorcycles have the
the same parts for their operation only change in structure.
The present project seeks to gain a broader understanding of the
jobs that can be done on a motorcycle gathering information from
different sources and later be able to execute it by putting it into practice on a motorcycle
pantoon rimexco that has a 250cc chain engine from the year
2015 what one aims to achieve with this motorcycle is to carry out the
complete restoration also a proper maintenance for operation
suitable for this motorcycle
In this way, to know and further enrich the information about a motorcycle.
since some other motorcycles fulfill the same job and have the
same components Once the restoration research is completed
maintenance and possibly a repair we will have a base
regarding the work that is done on a motorcycle and we will be able to already with
ease of conditioning them.
Problem statement
Identification of the problem
Due to the wide variety of motorcycles that exist today in La Paz, there
observed the increase in motorcycle transportation as it is the most
currently used, this due to the travel time from one place to another and
also to the low fuel consumption of motorcycles.
This in turn has generated a growing problem in the deterioration of the
parts of motorcycles. We identified the need to always keep in
good functioning of the motorcycles and thus carry out the work with quality and good
customer service.
Research question
How to carry out the refurbishment of a motorcycle with activity of
maintenance in the city of La Paz generating an efficient and timely service
with quality?
Objectives:
generalObjective
Recondition the phantoom 250cc motorcycle for improvement of the
learning about electrical and mechanical components for their diagnosis and
maintenance.
Specific objectives:
Determine the technical characteristics of the Phantoom 250 cc motorcycle
Analyze the operation and the electrical and mechanical components of the
motorcycle.
Perform the required maintenance on the motorcycle in the different
motorcycle systems.
Carry out functionality tests of the different systems
refurbished motorcycle parts.
Justifications
Social justification
The present project demands the attention of a sector in society
Bolivian, specifically in people who have their motorcycle that
are exposed to subsequent failures and not having given him a correct one
maintenance. The corrective maintenance project and estimate
respond to failures and also already have basic knowledge of our
motorcycles.
Unfortunately, most people who own a motorcycle do not...
they have knowledge as they also do not know about the
preventive and corrective maintenance that must be performed to avoid
subsequent breakdowns in our motorcycles. What is intended to be achieved
with this project is to prevent failures, accidents thus ensuring safety
moment to ride our motorcycles.
Technical justification
Knowing how to properly perform maintenance responds to the
required technical characteristics as they allow us to know the possible
failures in our motorcycle and anticipating future failures that may occur
to present.
That's why it's very important to perform maintenance and verification of the
parts to check the proper functioning and condition of each system.
Economic justification
The project allows for future economic savings as it enables the
maintenance, we prevent possible failures that may occur in our
motorcycles and in that way have good performance and have the
safety of reaching our destination by this means of transport.
REACHES
Temporal scope.
For the compliance and conclusion of the project, the execution is necessary.
implementation starts after the approval of the profile, which will have a
estimated time of 5 months, starting this in February until its completion in
the month of July of the current management of 2022.
Thematic scope.
For the drafting of the project, it is of vital importance to address the themes of the
following areas:
Electricity.- we will conduct a review using diagrams to detect faults and carry out the
maintenance or repair of the charging, starting, lights, and accessory circuits of the
motorcycle.
Transmission.- The correct operation of the traction in the existing force will be verified.
between the wheels is done by the chain system, the elasticity with which it will be seen
help to initiate the movement.
Gasoline engines - their operation and the configuration of their parts will be observed as well.
its working phase of admission, compression, explosion, and exhaust.
Spatial scope.
The location to carry out the project is in the city of La Paz, Institute
Ayacucho Technology, Miraflores area, Busch Avenue.
The application after performing preventive and corrective maintenance of the
phantoom motorcycle is aimed at its use on the institute's premises and
specifically in the workshops and laboratories of the engine subjects
gasoline and electricity.
Methodology:
Quantitative approach
The quantitative approach represents a set of processes that is sequential and
probatory. Each stage precedes the next, and we cannot 'jump' or evade
steps, the order is strict, although of course, we can redefine some
phase. Part of an idea that becomes more defined, and once delineated, it is derived
objectives and research questions, the literature is reviewed and a
a framework or a theoretical perspective. From the questions, hypotheses are established and
determinant variables; a plan is developed to test them; they are measured
variables in a certain context; the obtained measurements are analyzed
using statistical methods, and a series of conclusions is established
regarding the hypothesis or hypotheses.
