The burden of Psychological disorders continues to have significant


impact on Health and major Social, Human rights and economic
consequences globally. At the same time there is growing interest
in the understanding and enhancing positive mental health and
Wellbeing; particularly from development in the fields of positive
psychology and mental health.
Positive psychology describes a dual approach to mental health;
where we build strengths, supports and healthy lifestyles. This field
continues to evolve in size, scope and widespread public interest
since its inception nearly 20 years back and has shimmered hope
with aiding people who struggle with psychological disorders.

MISSION
DAV University, Jalandhar governed by DAV College Managing
Committee holds the vision to provide excellent human resources
to public and private sectors ensuring multidimensional growth.

The Department of Psychology has been evident in promoting the


Mental health awareness and Psychological wellbeing through
conferences, seminars, interactive discussions and rigorous
research work. The upcoming event is a symposia for the
Academicians, trained Psychologists, Counselors, Research
scholars and Students to gain the enormous repository of
exploratory knowledge to encourage psychological well-being and
promote programs based on Positive psychology and harnessing
the power of shifting ones perspective to maximize the individual’s
potential.

Call for Papers:
All authors are encouraged to contribute to make and help shape the
conference a great success through submission of their research abstracts,
papers. Quality research contributions describing original and unpublished
results of conceptual, empirical and experimental work in area of Positive
Psychology, Mental health and Education are cordially invited for
presentation at the conference. The conference solicits contributions of
abstracts and research papers that address themes of the conference.
Special Abstract Booklet will be compiled and published by the committee
for the delegates attending the conference.
