Respiration is the break down


of food molecules inside living
cells to release energy
Molecules are two or more
atoms connected by two bonds.
Why is respiration important?
1.All the physiological functions of the body require
energy ,and this energy is generated by respiration.
2.It produces energy that is necessary for the functioning of
the body.
3.The energy derived from respiration aids in cell
proliferation,development and repair.
