6. Introduction:
Cybersecurity threats are growing rapidly, targeting individuals,
banks, and government systems. This project proposes the
development of an AI-powered Threat Intelligence Platform that can
detect, analyze, and predict cyberattacks in real-time. Using
machine learning models trained on cyber threat datasets, the
system will identify phishing attempts, malware signatures, and
network anomalies. The platform will feature a dashboard for
visualization of attacks and provide automated alerts. This solution
will help institutions strengthen cyber resilience and protect
sensitive data.
7. Objectives of the project:
1. Develop an AI-based model for phishing and malware detection.
2. Implement network traffic anomaly detection using ML
algorithms.
3. Build a real-time monitoring dashboard for organizations.
4. Provide automated alerts & preventive suggestions.
8. Methodology:
Data collection from cyber threat repositories (PhishTank, Kaggle
datasets).
ML model training (Decision Trees, Random Forest, CNN for
URL/content detection).
Backend: Python (Flask/Django).
Dashboard: React.js / Angular.
Testing with simulated cyberattacks.

9. Workplan:
1. Literature Survey & Requirement Analysis (Month 1): Study of
existing tools, datasets, and design of system architecture.
2. Data Collection & Preprocessing (Month 2): Collect phishing and
malware datasets, clean and prepare them for training.
3. Model Development (Months 34): Train and test AI/ML models for
phishing and anomaly detection.
4. System Development (Month 5): Build backend, dashboard, and
integrate models.
5. Testing, Deployment & Documentation (Month 6): Validate
system with simulated attacks, deploy prototype, and prepare
report.
10. Expected Outcome of the project:
1. A working prototype of an AI-powered platform that can detect
phishing attacks, malware, and network anomalies in real-time.
2. Machine learning models trained and validated with benchmark
datasets, achieving high accuracy in threat detection.
3. A web-based dashboard for real-time monitoring and
visualization of cyber threats.
4. An alert system that notifies users/administrators about
suspicious activities.
5. A final project report, user manual, and demonstration video that
can serve as reference for future research and practical
applications.

11. Is the project proposed relevant to the Industry / Society?
Yes / No: yes
Yes The project is highly relevant to both industry and society.
For industry, it strengthens cybersecurity by detecting phishing,
malware, and network threats in real-time, which is crucial for
banks, IT companies, and e-commerce.
For society, it protects individuals from online fraud, data theft, and
financial scams, thereby promoting safe digital practice
12. Can the product or process developed in the project be
taken up for filing a Patent?
Yes / No:
Yes
Prior Art search done?
Yes/No:
Yes
A preliminary prior art search has been carried out through research
papers, IEEE journals, and existing cybersecurity tools to ensure that
the proposed system has innovative features and scope for further
development.
13. Budget details (The following is a tentative budget with
break-up details; it is subject to change depending on the
specific project requirements):
Budget Amount
a) Cloud resources / Computing setup (for 15,000
model training & deployment)
b) Datasets, APIs, and software licenses 6,000
c) Server and web hosting (1 year) 8,000
TOTAL 29,000
14. Has a similar project been carried out in your college /
elsewhere? If so furnish details of the previous project
and highlight the novelty & improvements
suggested in the present one:
TNSCST-SPS 2025 Page 5
Yes Similar projects on network security and phishing
detection using basic machine learning techniques have
been carried out in a few institutions and reported in
research papers. These projects were mostly limited to
static phishing URL detection or rule-based malware
identification, with lesser focus on real-time monitoring and
visualization.
15. Any other details (Please specify):
The proposed project will be carried out by a team of undergraduate
Computer Science students under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
The system will be developed using open-source tools and
frameworks to reduce costs and ensure sustainability.
The outcomes of this project can be extended for startup incubation
or as a commercial cybersecurity product in the future.
The project also provides student training and skill development in
AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity, which aligns with industry
needs.
16. SPS Coordinator (Identified by the college):
Note: To be identified by the Head of the Institution. The project
proposals must be submitted to TNSCST through SPS coordinator
designated.
