1. Technological Progress vs.

the Environment
Some people believe that technological progress harms the environment. I partially agree with this opinion. In
Ukraine, we see both positive and negative impacts of technology. Factories contribute to pollution, but they also
drive economic growth. At the same time, renewable energy sources like wind and solar power are becoming
popular. Destroying the environment for technological progress is not justified. It can lead to long-term damage that
cannot be easily reversed. We must find a balance between technological advancement and environmental
protection. Ukraine has laws to protect nature, but they are not always enforced. We need more eco-friendly
technology and stricter environmental regulations. Green technology can help protect nature while still allowing
progress. Recycling, reducing waste, and using clean energy are crucial steps. People should be aware of the
consequences of environmental damage. Many organizations in Ukraine are working to increase this awareness.
Governments, companies, and individuals must work together. It's possible to innovate without harming our planet.
Technology should focus on sustainability. This way, future generations will also benefit from progress. Protecting
the environment should be a priority for everyone. With the right policies, we can have both a clean environment
and advanced technology.

2. Healthy Spirit vs. Healthy Body

Having a healthy body and a healthy spirit are both essential. A strong body can make you feel energetic and
confident. On the other hand, a healthy spirit can provide emotional stability and happiness. If I had to choose, I
would prefer a healthy spirit. Emotional well-being affects all aspects of life. A healthy mind can help you overcome
physical challenges. However, a healthy body is also important for a good quality of life. If I only focused on physical
health, I might neglect my emotions. That could lead to loneliness and depression. But focusing only on the spirit
might cause physical weakness. Personally, I think happiness comes from a balance between the two. If I had to
choose one, I would prioritize a healthy spirit. It would make me more understanding and compassionate. This
choice would make me emotionally strong but perhaps physically weaker. Balancing both is challenging, but it’s
necessary. For me, true happiness lies in harmony. One should not ignore the body or the spirit. Both contribute to a
fulfilling life. Making time for physical exercise and mental relaxation is key. Together, they create a sense of well-
being and satisfaction.

3. Advice for Younger Students

As an eleventh-form student, I have some advice for younger pupils. First, try to enjoy your school years. They pass
by faster than you think. Study hard, but don’t forget to have fun. Find a good balance between schoolwork and
social life. Get involved in school activities and clubs. They help you make friends and develop skills. Don’t be afraid
to ask teachers for help. They are there to guide you. When preparing for the NMT exams, start studying early.
Create a study schedule to manage your time. Focus on your weak subjects, but don’t neglect the others. Take
breaks when you study to keep your mind fresh. In my opinion, the Ukrainian education system needs some
changes. I would like to see a more practical approach to learning. More interactive and project-based lessons would
make school more interesting. I also think there should be less emphasis on memorization. Instead, students should
focus on understanding the material. Exams should test critical thinking, not just memory. Overall, enjoy school,
work hard, and don’t stress too much.

4. The Importance of Studying History

Some historians say that history repeats itself. I agree with this statement. Studying history helps us understand
patterns and avoid past mistakes. For example, wars have often started due to similar reasons. Learning about World
War I and II shows us the dangers of nationalism. Understanding history can also help us appreciate cultural
differences. However, history is not just about avoiding mistakes. It teaches us about the achievements of our
ancestors. History inspires us to create a better future. It also gives us a sense of identity and belonging. In Ukraine,
history is deeply connected to our culture. Knowing our past helps us understand who we are. History has
educational value beyond just repetition. It’s a source of stories, lessons, and wisdom. History can show us how
societies change over time. The past can motivate us to make positive changes in the present. That is why I think
history should be a key subject in schools. Learning history is not just about dates and events. It’s about
understanding humanity. This knowledge can guide us to make better decisions for the future
5. The Decline in Reading for Pleasure
Reading for pleasure has become less common in recent years. I think one reason is the rise of digital technology.
People spend more time on social media and less time reading books. This is not necessarily a good thing. Reading
can expand vocabulary and improve imagination. Without reading, people might struggle with complex ideas. If this
trend continues, there may be fewer creative thinkers in the future. I believe reading helps us understand the world
better. It can also be a way to relax and escape daily stress. Personally, I enjoy reading when I have time. However, I
understand why some people don’t. Life is getting busier, and people want quick entertainment. But losing interest
in reading can have long-term consequences. It might affect literacy rates and general knowledge. Schools should
encourage reading as much as possible. Having a good balance between digital media and books is important. In my
opinion, reading should remain a valued hobby. It’s a way to connect with different cultures and ideas. Books will
always be a treasure for those who seek knowledge.

6. National Parks in Foreign Countries Are a Major Tourist Destination

National parks are important because they protect nature and wildlife. They offer a chance for people to see and
learn about nature. In many countries, they are a major tourist destination. Tourists come to enjoy the beautiful
landscapes, mountains, lakes, and forests. National parks also help preserve cultural and historical landmarks. They
are not only important to a nation but also to the world, as they protect global biodiversity. In Ukraine, there are
many national parks, such as the Carpathian National Nature Park and Shatsky National Nature Park. I have visited
the Carpathian Park, and it was amazing to see the dense forests and mountains. National parks are for both
enjoyment and preservation. People visit to relax and explore, but these areas are mainly for protecting plants,
animals, and historical sites. By visiting, tourists support the conservation efforts. They also help educate others
about the importance of protecting our natural heritage. I believe national parks have a dual purpose: they are
enjoyable for people, but they primarily aim to safeguard the unique nature, culture, and history of each location.

7. Holiday Preferences: Relaxation or Adventure?

Some people like to relax on holiday, while others want an adventure. I prefer a mix of both, depending on my
mood. On some holidays, I have gone hiking in the mountains, and on others, I enjoyed relaxing on the beach. I also
enjoy exploring new cities and learning about different cultures. For example, I once visited a museum to learn about
local history during a trip. I think people do not always get enough holiday time each year. More holiday time would
allow people to rest and recharge. It would also give them time to spend with family and friends. While on holiday, I
think it is important to learn about the local culture. It helps you understand the people and their history. Learning
about a new culture can be as fun as going on an adventure. It makes the holiday more meaningful. Even if you just
relax, you can still experience new things, like tasting local food or listening to traditional music. For me, the perfect
holiday has a little relaxation, some adventure, and a chance to learn something new.

8. Increasing Use of Mobile Phones Among Children

More and more children around the world are using mobile phones. They use them to play games, watch videos, and
chat with friends. Unlike adults, children mostly use phones for fun and socializing, while adults use them for work,
communication, and organizing their lives. I think parents should monitor their children’s activity on phones. It is
important to protect children from dangerous content online. Parents can help set rules about how long and what
children can watch. Some people believe children should be at least 12 or 13 years old to have a phone. I think it
depends on the child’s maturity and responsibility. Phones are useful tools for staying connected and learning, but
they can also be distracting. A balance is needed between freedom and safety. Parents should discuss with their
children how to use phones wisely. In the end, it is about teaching children to use technology in a healthy way. This
will help them become responsible digital citizens in the future.
9. Dress Codes in Schools
Some schools have dress codes that limit students’ choices of clothing, hairstyles, and makeup. My school does have
a dress code, and I think it is both helpful and limiting. On one hand, dress codes can help students focus on their
studies. They create a serious learning environment and reduce distractions. On the other hand, they might limit
individuality. Students should be able to express themselves, but there should be a balance. Schools that control
hairstyles or hair colors can be too strict. Some schools even have rules about how short or long a student’s hair can
be. I think if there are limits, they should be fair to both genders. If girls have rules about their hair, so should boys.
Dress codes might impact students beyond their school years. They can teach discipline, but they can also make
students feel they cannot be themselves. I think dress codes should allow some flexibility so that students can
express their individuality while still respecting the school’s guidelines.

10. Are Leaders Born or Made?

I agree with Warren Bennis that leaders are made, not born. A leader is someone who guides others, inspires them,
and makes important decisions. Good leaders are confident, responsible, and able to communicate well. They also
listen to others and can handle difficult situations calmly. Bennis says that the idea of “born leaders” is a dangerous
myth because it suggests that people cannot learn to become leaders. This belief can discourage people from trying
to develop leadership skills. I have had a leadership role in my school as a team captain for a group project. I got
there by being responsible, organized, and listening to my teammates. Leadership requires learning from
experiences, and anyone can be a leader if they work hard and learn from their mistakes. By thinking that leaders are
“made,” we understand that leadership is a skill we can all practice and improve.

11. Neighbours and Neighbourhood

Huber H. Humphrey once wrote that being a good neighbor is about giving without expecting anything in return.
Personally, I get along well with my neighbors. We often help each other with small tasks, like carrying heavy bags or
watching each other's pets. What I like most about my neighborhood is the sense of community. Everyone knows
each other, and we often organize small events like barbecues or block parties. The local park is a great place for kids
to play, and there's a small grocery store just a few minutes away. However, if I had a chance to change something
about my neighborhood, I would improve the public transport. There aren’t enough buses, and sometimes it's
difficult to get to other parts of the city. I’d also like to see more green spaces because I think they bring people
together and make the area look nicer. Despite these small issues, I wouldn’t want to move to a new neighborhood. I
feel safe and comfortable here. Moving to a new neighborhood would be difficult because I’d have to get to know
new people. I'd also miss my old neighbors who have become like family. Yet, if there were better job opportunities
or if my family needed to move, I might consider it. For now, I’m happy where I am and enjoy the peaceful
atmosphere of my neighborhood.

12. Getting News in the Digital Age

Today, many people use the Internet to get the latest news. Personally, I read news online because it's fast and
convenient. I usually check news websites or use social media to find out what's happening. There are many benefits
to getting news from the Internet. It’s easy to access, and you can get information from around the world in seconds.
Plus, there are different sources, so you can read about the same event from different perspectives. However, there
are also drawbacks. Sometimes, online news can be unreliable. People can post fake stories or exaggerate
information to get more clicks. That's why it's important to check if the news comes from a trustworthy source. I
look for websites that are well-known and have a good reputation. Some websites also include links to the original
sources, which helps me decide if I can trust the information. In the future, I think online news will be even more
popular. Traditional newspapers and TV channels might lose their audience. Younger generations are growing up
with the Internet, so they prefer online sources. This change will make it even more important for schools to teach
media literacy. People will need to know how to tell real news from fake news, so they don’t get misled by false
information.
13. "You Are What You Eat"

The saying "You are what you eat" means that the food you eat affects your health and body. I agree with this idea
because if you eat unhealthy food, your body won’t get the nutrients it needs. If you eat healthy food, you feel
better and have more energy. My daily diet is quite balanced. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and I try to avoid
too much sugar. I also drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. I learned my eating habits from my family. My parents
always encouraged me to eat healthy food. I also learned a lot about nutrition from my school. Now, I try to make
good choices, like choosing a salad instead of fast food. Eating well affects my daily life because it helps me
concentrate at school and have the energy to play sports. Health and nutrition also affect my friends and family. We
often share healthy recipes and talk about how to eat better. Good nutrition can prevent illnesses, so I think it’s very
important for everyone. When you eat well, you feel good, and that has a positive impact on the people around you
too.

14. Time Travel

If I could travel through time and space, I would visit ancient Egypt. I am fascinated by the culture and history of this
civilization. I would love to see the pyramids being built and understand how they created such magnificent
structures. However, I know that my presence there could change history. If I brought modern knowledge to the
past, it might change the course of events. Morals and values play a big role in my choice of destination. I wouldn’t
want to harm anyone or make decisions that could have negative consequences. I think time travel should be used
to learn from the past, not to change it. For this reason, I would try not to interfere too much with historical events. I
don’t think humans should have the ability to travel in this way. It’s too dangerous, and the risks are too high.
Changing the past could lead to a different present, and that might not be a good thing. We should focus on learning
from history without trying to change it.

15. Ukraine's Greatest Sportsman/Sportswoman

In my opinion, the greatest sportswoman in Ukraine is Elina Svitolina. She is a professional tennis player and has
achieved great success at the international level. Her greatest achievement was reaching the semifinals of the
Wimbledon and US Open tournaments. She has also won several WTA titles, which shows her consistency and
dedication to the sport. Elina's background played a big role in her success. She started playing tennis at a young age
and was supported by her family. Her coaches have also been a big influence, helping her develop her skills and stay
focused. Elina's determination is something that I admire. She never gives up, even when the match is tough. One
interesting thing about Elina is that she uses her platform to support charity work. She often donates money to help
children in need, which makes her not only a great athlete but also a kind person. I believe her dedication and
generosity make her a true role model for young people in Ukraine.

16. Archaeology and its Importance

Archaeologists help us understand our present by studying past civilizations. By examining artifacts, we learn how
ancient people lived, what they valued, and what challenges they faced. This knowledge helps us make better
decisions today. For example, understanding past farming methods can help us improve modern agriculture.
However, not all archaeological sites should be excavated. Sometimes, it's better to preserve them for the future
when we might have better technology. Excavation can damage delicate artifacts, so archaeologists must be careful.
If artifacts are found, I think they should stay in the country where they were discovered. This is because they are a
part of that country's history and identity. Museums play an important role in preserving history, but they should
also respect the culture of the artifacts they display. Sharing artifacts with the world is good, but countries should
have the right to keep their heritage close to home. This way, people can connect with their past and feel proud of
their history.
16. Archaeologists and Their Role in Understanding Our Present and Future

Archaeologists play a crucial role in connecting us to our past. By examining ancient artifacts, they help us learn
about past civilizations and cultures. This study helps us understand how human societies evolved over time. We can
learn from past mistakes and successes, which can guide our actions today. For example, studying how ancient
people dealt with climate changes can inform our own environmental policies. There is debate about whether
archaeologists should always excavate new sites. Some believe that preserving them in place keeps them safe from
potential damage. Others argue that excavation can reveal new information. Museums are excellent places to
showcase artifacts to the public. Yet, there is a debate about whether artifacts should remain in the country where
they were found. Some argue it preserves cultural heritage, while others suggest sharing them with international
museums promotes global understanding. Regardless, the main goal is to learn from the past. These lessons can
shape our present and future, making us more aware of our world.

17. Growing Up: Do Kids Mature Faster Today?

Many people say that kids grow up faster today than in the past. I agree to some extent because of the impact of
technology and media. Teenagers are often more informed about adult topics at a younger age. In my opinion,
people become adults when they are around 18 years old. This is when they gain more independence and
responsibilities. Maturity is not just about age; it’s about behavior and mindset. Mature people can make thoughtful
decisions and handle problems well. Teenagers, however, are still exploring their identity and learning from their
mistakes. Some believe that children rush to be adults, wanting freedom and independence quickly. This can be due
to the pressure of society, school, or family expectations. Yet, true adulthood requires patience, responsibility, and
understanding consequences. The journey from teenager to adult is unique for each person. It's important not to
rush this natural process.

18. Choosing Between Staying in One City or Moving Every Five Years

I would choose to move to a new city every five years. I think it would be exciting to explore different places and
cultures. This lifestyle allows for more diverse experiences and meeting new people. It helps you adapt to new
environments and gain a broader perspective of the world. Staying in one city forever could feel limiting for me. If I
could choose, I’d love to live in cities like Tokyo, New York, and Barcelona. Each has a unique culture and vibe.
Moving around also means more job and educational opportunities. However, constantly moving can make it hard to
build long-term friendships. It might also be difficult to settle down in one place. Despite these challenges, I think the
adventure and learning experiences would be worth it.

19. Sports Facilities in My Area and Exercise Preferences

The sports facilities in my area are quite good. There are several gyms, parks, and sports fields available. I enjoy
running and playing basketball. I usually exercise in the evenings after school. Running helps me clear my mind, while
basketball is a fun way to stay fit with friends. In my opinion, swimming is one of the best sports for keeping fit. It
works out the entire body and is gentle on the joints. I think people should aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise a
day. It doesn’t have to be intense; even a walk can be beneficial. Staying active is crucial for good health, both
physically and mentally. A good balance of exercise and rest is important.

20. Plato’s Quote on Good and Bad People: My Interpretation

Plato’s quote suggests that good people act responsibly even without laws, while bad people might try to avoid
them. I agree with this idea. Good people have a sense of morality that guides their actions. They don’t need rules to
tell them right from wrong. On the other hand, bad people may try to manipulate the system to their advantage. In
my life, I try to follow my values and act responsibly, not just because of rules. If there were no laws, I believe society
would be chaotic. Laws are needed to maintain order, especially for those who do not follow their conscience.
However, the best world would be one where everyone acts out of kindness and fairness, not fear of punishment.
This quote challenges us to think about our true nature and the role of laws in our lives
1. Family Ties and Friendship in Ukraine
Family and friendship are core values in Ukraine. In my life, my family members are the most important people. They
are always there when I need support, guidance, or encouragement. I rely on them for advice in difficult situations
and for celebrating good times. My friends are also significant, as they provide companionship and fun. I know I can
trust my friends with secrets and personal matters. In Ukrainian culture, family gatherings are a common way to stay
connected. If I could make changes to strengthen the family in today's culture, I would encourage more family
activities and traditions. I think spending time together without distractions, like technology, would help. Modern life
is very busy, and people often forget to prioritize family. Creating family traditions, like weekly meals or holidays, can
help build stronger bonds. Also, encouraging open communication in families would make relationships healthier. I
believe teaching children the value of family and friendships from a young age is crucial. Both family and friends are
the foundation of a happy and supportive life. It's important to show appreciation to those who are always there for
us. For me, family and friends are what make life meaningful.

2. The World as a "Global Village"

The world today is often called a "global village" because of how connected we are. Challenges like climate change,
poverty, and inequality affect everyone, no matter where they live. I agree that the problems we face are global and
not limited to one country. For example, pollution in one country can affect the air and water in another. In my
opinion, it's time for countries to cooperate instead of compete. Working together can promote peace, democracy,
and human rights. International organizations play a key role in bringing nations together. If we unite, we can find
solutions to common issues faster. Sharing technology and resources is crucial to solving global problems.
Unfortunately, competition between countries often prevents cooperation. I believe that education is key to
promoting understanding between cultures. Young people should be encouraged to learn about other countries and
their traditions. We all share the same planet, and it’s important to protect it together. Technology can help by
connecting people from different parts of the world. Social media, for instance, allows us to share ideas and
solutions. In a true "global village," every person would work for the common good.

3. Studying Abroad
Many Ukrainian students decide to study abroad because of the war. I have thought about studying in another
country too. The advantages of studying abroad include learning a new language and experiencing a different
culture. It’s also an opportunity to make international friends and contacts. However, moving to another country has
its challenges. Being far from family and friends can be difficult. There are cultural differences that might be hard to
understand at first. A student abroad should try to make the most of the experience. It's important to participate in
local activities and explore the culture. Finding a support network, like a group of fellow students, is also helpful.
Learning to adapt to a new environment can build independence. I believe studying abroad can make someone more
open-minded and flexible. It’s also a chance to gain a new perspective on the world. While there are challenges, the
benefits can be greater. In the end, it’s a unique experience that can shape a person’s future. If I ever study abroad, I
would make sure to stay connected with my roots while embracing the new culture.

4. The Role of Technology in Education

Technology plays a major role in modern education. I use it every day for schoolwork and research. Online platforms
allow me to access information quickly. I also rely on apps and educational websites for studying. Technology can
make learning more engaging and interactive. However, it's important not to rely on technology too much. In my
opinion, teachers should use technology as a tool, not as a replacement. It is necessary to incorporate technology
into education because it prepares students for the future. Many jobs today require tech skills. Despite the benefits,
there are also risks. Spending too much time on screens can cause distraction. Therefore, I try to balance online and
offline study methods. I think the best way to use technology is to combine it with traditional learning. For example,
reading books and having discussions in class are still important. In the end, technology should support, not replace,
personal interaction in education. It’s a powerful tool that, when used wisely, can enhance the learning experience.
5. The Importance of Education.
Education is essential because it opens doors to many opportunities. Through education, we learn about the world
and develop critical skills. It helps us become more informed and responsible citizens. I think educated people
contribute more to society. Schools prepare us not only for jobs but also for life. A good education can lead to a
successful career and a better quality of life. In my experience, school has taught me how to think independently. I
believe that education also helps people become more civilized. It encourages us to respect others and follow rules.
However, schools should focus more on skills that are relevant to the job market. Practical skills, like problem-solving
and communication, are often more useful than memorizing facts. In the future, I hope schools will continue to
evolve to meet students' needs. Overall, education is the key to a better life and a better world.

6. Social Media and Teen Self-Expression

Social media has a big impact on how teenagers express themselves. Platforms like Instagram and TikTok allow teens
to share their creativity. However, they can also affect self-image negatively. Many teenagers compare themselves
to influencers, which can lead to insecurity. On the other hand, social media can be a space for creativity. I have used
social media to share my hobbies and connect with friends. It’s fun, but I also understand the risks. Too much time
online can lead to addiction. To avoid this, I set limits on my screen time. A digital detox can be refreshing. For
example, taking breaks from social media helps me focus better on other activities. I think it's important to use social
media wisely and be aware of its effects on mental health.

7. Environmental Issues
Environmental problems are one of the most serious challenges today. In my opinion, climate change and pollution
are the biggest threats. We need to take steps to make our lifestyle more eco-friendly. For example, reducing waste
and using renewable energy can help. My family has started recycling and using energy-efficient products. I think
everyone should try to reduce their impact on the planet. Small actions, like saving water and using public transport,
can make a difference. Educating people about the environment is also important. We only have one planet, and it's
our responsibility to protect it. The government should also invest more in green technology. It's crucial to act now
to prevent further damage to our environment.

8. Learning a Foreign Language

Learning a foreign language is both challenging and rewarding. I have been learning English for several years, and it
has been a great experience. In my opinion, the best way to learn a language is through practice. Speaking with
native speakers can improve fluency. I also find watching movies and reading books in English very helpful. Visiting
English-speaking countries would be a great opportunity to practice. It allows learners to experience the culture
firsthand. I think immersion is the most effective way to learn a language. For me, studying grammar and vocabulary
is also important. Combining different methods can lead to better results. In the future, I hope to travel to an
English-speaking country to improve my skills. Knowing a second language can open many doors, both professionally
and personally.

9. Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

The saying "healthy body, healthy mind" means that physical health affects mental well-being. Eating a balanced diet
is essential for good health. I try to include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in my meals. Regular exercise also
helps me stay fit and focused. I agree that staying active has many benefits. It can reduce stress and improve mood.
In today’s digital age, mental health is as important as physical health. Spending too much time online can affect our
well-being. That’s why I think it’s important to take breaks and stay active. Mental health should not be ignored,
especially among teenagers. I believe that a healthy lifestyle includes both physical and mental care.
10. Travel as a Learning Experience.
Traveling can be an amazing way to learn, especially for teenagers. I would love to visit places like Japan, Italy, or the
United States. Experiencing new cultures can be very educational. It’s a chance to see the world from a different
perspective. I think booking everything yourself is better than a package holiday. It gives more freedom to explore
and discover hidden gems. An ideal travel companion would be someone who loves adventure. Traveling with
someone who shares the same interests can make the trip more enjoyable. In my opinion, travel can teach things
that schools can’t. It’s a way to grow and learn about the world

11. Sports will always be popular as teens combine keeping fit with socializing.

Sports offer a variety of benefits for both physical and mental health. Regular exercise keeps our bodies fit and
reduces the risk of diseases. It also helps improve concentration and boosts mood. When we engage in sports, we
can challenge ourselves to perform better, increasing our self-esteem. Playing sports with friends or teammates
helps us build strong social connections and teamwork skills. I prefer playing sports over watching them because I
find physical activity more enjoyable. Whether it's playing football or running, I feel more energetic and satisfied.
Regular exercise can also reduce stress and anxiety, making it easier to cope with daily challenges. It provides a great
way to clear your mind and stay focused. Moreover, participating in sports can create lasting friendships as you meet
people with similar interests. Socializing during sports activities is fun and often leads to strong bonds. As a teenager,
I enjoy meeting new people through sports events and competitions. In addition to improving physical fitness,
regular exercise also helps with mental well-being. It improves memory and cognitive function, which is crucial for
schoolwork. Exercise stimulates the release of endorphins, the chemicals that make you feel happy. Being part of a
sports team teaches valuable lessons in discipline and perseverance. Overall, the combination of fitness and
socializing through sports contributes to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.

12. Young people, as they grow into adults, experience all kinds of problems.

Young people today face numerous challenges as they transition into adulthood. Many struggle with academic
pressure, trying to maintain good grades while dealing with personal issues. Family problems, such as divorce or
financial struggles, can also have a significant impact on their well-being. Peer pressure is another challenge,
especially when it comes to fitting in with others and making decisions. Mental health issues, such as anxiety and
depression, are common among teenagers. They often feel overwhelmed by expectations from both their families
and society. Fortunately, support is available for young people facing these issues. School counselors, psychologists,
and family members can provide guidance and help. There are also online resources that offer advice on managing
stress, mental health, and relationship problems. In some cases, young people turn to friends who have gone
through similar experiences for support. If I faced a problem, I would speak to my parents because they have always
been supportive and understanding. Having a trusted adult or friend to talk to can make a big difference. There are
also community groups and programs that help young people learn coping skills. Many young people find comfort in
creative outlets like writing, drawing, or playing music. It's important to recognize the challenges we face and seek
help when necessary. By talking about our problems, we can better understand them and find solutions. With the
right support, young people can successfully navigate these challenges and grow into confident adults.
13. There are some advantages and disadvantages with every new invention.

Modern technology has dramatically changed the way we live, bringing both advantages and disadvantages. It has
made communication easier, with the internet and smartphones connecting us instantly. We can now access
information from anywhere in the world and share ideas with just a few clicks. Technology has revolutionized
industries such as healthcare, education, and entertainment, making our lives more convenient. However, the
downside is that over-reliance on technology can lead to problems like social isolation and addiction. People may
spend too much time on screens and lose touch with the real world. Some gadgets, such as smartphones and
laptops, have become essential in daily life, helping with schoolwork and keeping in touch with friends and family.
Personally, I could not live without my smartphone, as it helps me with organization, communication, and
entertainment. I also rely on my laptop for studying and researching. The impact of modern technology is evident in
every aspect of life, but it also raises questions about privacy and data security. I think that living in a world with
robots and artificial intelligence could be both exciting and concerning. While technology can make our lives easier,
we need to be cautious about its potential risks. The question of whether machines could replace human jobs is
something to consider. Some people may embrace a world where robots perform daily tasks, while others might
resist the change. The balance between technology's benefits and its drawbacks is something that society will have
to manage carefully.

14. Some people prefer to travel abroad while others say there is much to see in our own country.

I believe that both traveling abroad and exploring our own country offer unique experiences. Traveling abroad
exposes us to new cultures, languages, and ways of life. It allows us to see famous landmarks, try new foods, and
make international friends. However, there is also much to discover within our own country. Local travel gives us a
deeper appreciation for the beauty and history of our homeland. I have had an unforgettable experience visiting the
mountains in my country. The scenery was breathtaking, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the city.
Traveling within your own country can also be more affordable and less stressful. Exploring new cities, historical
sites, or natural wonders provides insight into the diverse landscapes and cultures within our own borders.
Moreover, it can help support the local economy by encouraging tourism. Both types of travel contribute to personal
development. They allow us to learn about different ways of thinking and living, expanding our worldview. Traveling
abroad might be more exciting, but local travel helps us appreciate the things we often take for granted. Whether
traveling far or close to home, the experiences gained can enhance our understanding of the world and ourselves.
Personal growth comes from embracing new experiences, and travel is one of the best ways to achieve that. It
teaches us about the world, our culture, and the importance of exploring both familiar and unfamiliar places.

15. Young people around the world are encouraged to attend career days, visit local businesses and talk to
specialized counselors, all in an effort to find a profession that will suit their personality and skills.

Choosing a career path is one of the most important decisions a young person will make. I would like to pursue a
career in science, particularly in environmental studies. I have always been interested in the natural world and the
ways we can protect it. School subjects like biology, chemistry, and geography appeal to me because they offer
knowledge about the environment. Science offers many opportunities, from research to working with organizations
that focus on sustainability. I believe that a good degree is important, but work experience is equally valuable.
Hands-on experience in a related field can provide practical skills and make you more competitive in the job market.
Career days and internships are excellent opportunities to learn about different professions. I think these
experiences are essential for discovering what you truly enjoy and what you are good at. Speaking to professionals in
various fields can provide guidance and inspire confidence in your career choices. Whether it's through mentorship
or gaining practical knowledge, these experiences help young people make informed decisions about their future.
The right career choice can lead to job satisfaction and success in the long run. It’s important to focus on developing
skills in both academic and practical areas to increase employability. By exploring different careers, young people
can find the one that best matches their interests and talents.
16. Our clothes tell others who we are and what we think of ourselves.

Clothing plays a significant role in expressing our identity. It reflects our personality, mood, and sometimes our social
status. Many teenagers care deeply about fashion and follow trends set by influencers on social media. These
platforms have made fashion more accessible, allowing people to see what others are wearing worldwide. However,
while it’s tempting to follow trends, it’s also important to maintain individuality. Personal style allows us to express
our creativity and make a statement about who we are. I like to mix and match styles, combining fashionable pieces
with my own unique touch. Social media platforms often promote a certain image of beauty and success, which can
influence what teenagers wear. However, it’s essential to remember that fashion should be about feeling
comfortable and confident, not just copying what others do. By expressing ourselves through clothing, we
communicate our values and preferences to the world. It is important to balance following trends with staying true
to our personal style. While social media influencers have a significant impact, each person’s fashion choices should
be a reflection of their character. Fashion can be fun and creative, but it should also be an expression of who we are,
not just a way to fit in.

17. Becoming active members of society has multiple benefits.

Being active in society allows young people to make a positive impact on their communities. It can also teach
valuable lessons in leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. Many young people join clubs or organizations to
connect with others and contribute to causes they care about. I am a member of a local environmental club, where
we organize clean-up events and educate others about sustainability. Even small actions, like volunteering or helping
neighbors, can make a difference in the community. By participating in society, we learn how to collaborate with
others and address social issues. In addition to personal growth, contributing to society can create a sense of
purpose. It helps us feel more connected to others and builds a stronger community. Whether it’s through charity
work or activism, becoming involved provides opportunities for learning and development. It can also improve our
communication and problem-solving skills. Volunteering has helped me gain a greater understanding of the needs of
others and the importance of giving back. It’s inspiring to see how even small efforts can bring about change. By
interacting with the world, young people can develop empathy and awareness of global issues. Active participation
teaches us the value of working together for a common goal. Through these experiences, we can grow into
responsible and compassionate adults.

18. We need to develop all kinds of skills to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
In today's world, there are many skills that are essential for success. First and foremost, learning and literacy skills
are important, as they allow individuals to access information and continue learning throughout their lives. However,
life skills are just as crucial. Skills such as time management, problem-solving, and communication help people
navigate the challenges of everyday life. For example, being able to work in a team or manage stress is important in
both personal and professional settings. Technological skills are also increasingly necessary, as many jobs require
proficiency with computers and other digital tools. In addition, adaptability and creativity are important for staying
competitive in a rapidly changing world. To succeed, young people must also develop critical thinking skills, as this
helps them make informed decisions. Personally, I think I need to focus on improving my time management and
communication skills to be more effective in school and in my future career. By developing these skills, I can prepare
myself for the challenges that lie ahead. The ability to learn new skills quickly is another important trait in the
modern world, as industries and technologies continue to evolve.
19. The goal of life should be living in harmony with nature.
I strongly believe that being close to nature is important for both physical and mental well-being. Nature provides a
peaceful environment that can help reduce stress and improve our mood. Personally, I enjoy spending time
outdoors, whether it’s hiking in the forest or just relaxing in a park. It helps me clear my mind and feel more
connected to the world around me. To ensure a healthier planet for future generations, it is necessary to reduce
pollution and protect natural resources. This can be done by recycling, using less plastic, and supporting eco-friendly
initiatives. I try to make my life greener by reducing waste, saving water, and using energy-efficient appliances.
Planting trees and supporting wildlife conservation are other ways to contribute to a healthier environment. Living in
harmony with nature means respecting the earth and understanding the importance of sustainability. I believe that
small actions can have a big impact on the planet, and we all have a role to play in protecting it. By living more
sustainably, we can ensure that future generations will enjoy a cleaner, healthier world.

20. Art reflects the richness and diversity of human creativity.

I agree that art is a universal language that allows people to express their ideas and emotions on a global scale.
Through art, people can communicate thoughts that words may fail to express. Art can be in many forms, such as
painting, sculpture, music, dance, and theater. I am particularly interested in visual arts, like painting and
photography, because they capture moments in time and evoke deep emotions. Art allows people to explore
different cultures and learn about history. I enjoy attending cultural and artistic events because they provide an
opportunity to connect with others and appreciate different forms of creativity. Visiting art galleries or attending
concerts can be a deeply moving experience. Art also plays a significant role in social and political movements, giving
a voice to those who are marginalized or oppressed. For example, street art has become a powerful tool for
expressing ideas and making statements about society. I think that everyone can find a type of art that resonates
with them. Whether it’s through creating art or experiencing it, it can bring joy and understanding to our lives. Art
can inspire change, challenge perspectives, and encourage self-expression.
1. Entertainment Preferences of Modern Teenagers

Modern teenagers have a wide range of entertainment options, thanks to technology and the internet. Many
teenagers spend a lot of time on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat. These platforms allow
them to stay connected with friends and follow trends. Video games are also a popular form of entertainment, with
games like Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox being favorites among young people. Streaming services like Netflix,
Disney+, and YouTube are common sources for movies, TV shows, and videos. Teenagers enjoy watching influencers,
participating in challenges, and sharing their own content online.

Music is another major part of a teenager's life. Streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music make it easy to
discover new songs and artists. Many teenagers attend concerts and music festivals, if they can, or watch
performances online. Sports are also a significant part of entertainment for some, whether they are playing or
watching events like football, basketball, or e-sports tournaments.

In addition to digital entertainment, some teenagers still enjoy traditional activities like reading books, going to the
cinema, or hanging out at local cafés. Hobbies like drawing, dancing, and playing musical instruments are popular,
too. The pandemic has changed some habits, with more teenagers finding enjoyment in outdoor activities like biking,
hiking, or just spending time in parks. Overall, modern teenagers have a vast selection of entertainment choices,
allowing them to express their individuality and find communities that share their interests.

2. The Ukrainian National Character and Its Historical Roots

The Ukrainian national character has deep roots that go back many centuries. Our country has a rich history of
struggle, resilience, and a strong sense of community. One of the most significant traits of Ukrainians is their love for
freedom and independence. This passion has been demonstrated in the long fight for sovereignty, from the Cossack
uprisings to recent events. Ukrainians are known for their bravery and willingness to defend their homeland.

Another important feature of Ukrainians is hospitality. We are famous for our generous and welcoming nature,
always ready to offer food and shelter to guests. This warmth can be seen in the way we celebrate holidays with
traditional feasts and folk music. Ukrainian cuisine, with dishes like borscht, varenyky, and holubtsi, reflects our
agricultural roots and the importance of family gatherings.

Our language and culture are a source of pride. Despite centuries of foreign rule, Ukrainians have preserved their
traditions, folklore, and literature. The folk songs, dances like the hopak, and beautiful embroidery tell the story of a
people connected to their land. Ukrainians are also hardworking, a trait that has been essential for survival during
tough times. This spirit of hard work and creativity has led to the success of many Ukrainians in various fields around
the world. In times of crisis, Ukrainians show solidarity and support each other, reinforcing our sense of community.
Our country has a unique identity that combines the old and the new, making us both traditional and forward-
looking.
3. Good Health is an Invaluable Treasure

Good health is one of the most precious gifts anyone can have, yet it's something that cannot be purchased. A
healthy lifestyle is the key to maintaining good health. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, and
whole grains provides the necessary nutrients for our bodies. Regular physical exercise, like walking, jogging, or
cycling, helps keep our bodies strong and fit. It’s also essential to get enough sleep, as rest allows our bodies to
recover and recharge.

Good health also means taking care of our mental well-being. Stress management is important, whether through
hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or practicing mindfulness and meditation. Avoiding unhealthy habits like
smoking, excessive drinking, or consuming too much junk food is crucial. Prevention is better than cure, so regular
check-ups with doctors help to catch potential health problems early.

Living a healthy lifestyle is like putting money in a savings account – the benefits accumulate over time. Staying
healthy allows us to enjoy life more fully, with energy to do the things we love. When we are in good health, we can
handle life's challenges more effectively and maintain a positive outlook. Illness and poor health can bring
difficulties, which is why it’s wise to invest in healthy habits now. We may not be able to control everything about
our health, but we can make choices that increase our chances of living a long, active, and happy life.
