Note
Check that the wheels and the steering wheel point straight ahead when the steering gear is
in the centre position.
Check that all springs are not damaged and that the installation has not been done so that the
vehicle leans over.
Check that there is no play in the wheel bearings.
Check that tyre pressure and tyre size correspond to the specification.
Check the tyres for wear and damage.

1 Set the key in position (0).

2 Check the air pressure of the tyres.

3 Check that the axle installations are free of wear and damage.

Service hint
Use play detectors.
Brake must be applied.

Note
Check that there is no play or any deformation in the track rods, king pins, bushings,
pitman arm and the auxiliary pitman arm.

4 Place the vehicle on a level surface with the steering wheel in the straight ahead position.

Tech data

Maximum surface unevenness for every 2 metres 0 ±3 mm

Note
If a level surface cannot be achieved, the inclinometer kit provided by the tool
manufacturer can be used for level compensation.

5 Check that the steering gear is in the centre position.

Note
The slot on the steering shaft must be aligned with the markings on the axle
attachment.
Adjust if necessary.

6 Secure the steering wheel.

7 Start the computer.

Note
Refer to the manufacturer's manual for instructions on use of the tool.

8 Install the wheel alignment tool.

Note
The towing anchorage holes at the front and the frame rail at the rear of the truck are
reference points for attaching the frame gauges.

Note
Refer to the manufacturer's manual for instructions on use of the tool.

9 Create a new order in the wheel alignment tool.

10 Measure the toe and camber angles by rolling procedure in the wheel alignment tool.

Always measure the reference axle first.

11 Start the test.

Note
Follow the instructions and save the test.

12 Remove the tool.

13 Remove the wheel alignment tool.

14 Print report.

15 Shut down the computer.
