1. Differentiate between a) RAM and ROM b) Plotter and Printer c) Web page and website

RAM ROM

A. A light pen is a pointing device that can be used to select anything on the computer
screen by simply pointing at it.The tip of the light pen ,termed as stylus.Detects light from
the screen which enables the computer to identify the location of the pen.

4. What are laser printer ? where are they used?

A. These printers use laser technology to produce printed documents .They work just like a
photocopy machine and print good -quality images at high speed.

5. Write the full form of the following a) ALU b) CU c) CPU.

A. ALU - Arithmetic Logic unit , CU - Control unit , CPU -Central Processing unit.

6. What is IPO cycle? Provide examples.

A. The information flows from the input device to the processing device and then to the
output device. Sometimes the result generated acts as an input for the next stage of data
flow. Thus, this whole flow of information follows a cycle which is known as Input–Process–
Output Cycle.

7. Explain the different parts of the Email address.

A. Headers - It contains information about the sender and recipients .it contains subject,
sender ,Date and time , Recipient ,Recipient;s email address.

B. CC and BCC - When sending a message to multiple recipients,cc and Bcc options can be
used.

C. Body - The body of a message contains text that is the actual content

D. Attachment - It consists of files that are attached to the message

E. Email address - An email address is a unique identifier for an email account.

1.Define data literacy and explain its importance in the modern world.

A. Data literacy is the ability to read , understand , interpret and communicate with data .It
includes a set of skills include gathering ,analyzing and using information effectively.

2. Differentiate between data and information with suitable examples.

measured ,counted and compared to each other.

II) Qualitative data is derived from the word “ quality”.Qualitative data is used to answer
questions like “What type “ or “What kind”?

1. Explain briefly the different types of businesses.

A. There are four major categories of business ,1) Manufacturing business , 2) service
Industry 3) Merchandising Business 4 ) Hybrid business.

Manufacturing business - It is a kind of business that deals with goods in a step by step
approach using raw materials , labour , technology ,capital and production overheads.

Service Industry - Service industry serves consumers with intangible products .These
business establishments offer consultation , accounting , professional expertise , skills and
more.

Mercchandising - It is the most common form of business where products are purchased
and sold in bulk.

Hybrid business - It is a combination of business types like service ,manufacturing and


merchandising.it deals with both goods and services.

2. Who is an entrepreneur ?

A. An enterpreneur is a person who developa new ideas and initiates business process by
investing their time ,energy ,money and all the required efforts for starting a new venture.

3. Explain the significant role an enterpreneur plays in economic development .

A. An enterprenuer acts as one of the pillars of economic development through efficient use
of resources and arranging capital for fruitful long term investments. With the innovative
ideas and practice ,they mobilize public health and benefit people through their growing
business ,there by increasing national wealth.

4. List any four characteristics of enterpreneurship.

A. A) Risk bearing capacity b) Innovation c) Purposeful and goal oriented d) Leadership


qualities.

5. Classify the types of enterpreneur on the basis of ownership.

A. A business can be divided into corporate and non corporate. In non corporate format
businesses are owned by individuals who earn all the profit and are responsible for debts. In
corporate format , the identity of the enterprise is separate from its owners .The owners are
not help responsible for profit making .

6. What are the roles and rewards of entrepreneurship?


A. There are several roles that enterpreneur has to undertake such as
